In September of 2007, the Sailor Moon fanfiction community known as "A Sailor Moon Romance" went offline. Investigation revealed there had been another server crash, and with declining activity and rising costs, the decision was made not to restore the site.

It's true that activity on the forum had dropped to the point where many of the members had moved on. The site's fanfiction library, however, had been a pillar of the Sailor Moon fandom for more than a decade. As news of the shutdown spread, most of the comments lamented the loss of the treasure trove of stories that had been stored there.

When I stressed this to the owners of the site, they agreed to transfer what fanfiction files they still have to me so I can attempt to restore the library. The transfer process is still ongoing, but with luck, the stories that were available here will soon be again. In the meantime, the owners gave me the moonromance.net domain name so I could put up this message.

The forum had a good run, but it is now a thing of the past. For the fanfiction library, however, all hope is not yet lost. I am committed to doing all I can to restore the stories that were hosted here, and hope I will soon be able to announce a resurrection. Updates will be posted here when I have them.
