Here is the first chapter of the story. Please don't be too mad at me. I know that everyone loves Darien and Serena as a couple. This is just a "what if" story. Please don't be too harsh on me. Disclaimer: Sailor Moon is not mine, yours or anyone else's for that matter. Boo hoo hoo. Oh well, all I can do is borrow it. Please don't sue me. I want to continue writing stories. Now may I present to you Why Serena Dumped Darien (PG) by Empress Earth (me). @~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~ It was my first day back to school. Everyone was happy to be in school again after a long, boring summer. A lot of my classmates conversed with their friends whom they haven't talked to since last school year. Darien left me to go study abroad, so I was down in the dumps. Who better to cheer me up than my very best friend Molly? "Serena, what's wrong with you. You're not the same, cheery, best friend that you were since last school year. What's eating you?" Molly asked me sympathetically. "Remember Darien?" I said knowing good and well that she did. He was the guy that I was with when I neglected Molly from my attention. I felt even more like a loser that I didn't keep in touch with Molly during the summer. "Sure. He's your handsome guy friend that you always hang out with," Molly stated matter of factly. "Well, he kind of left to go study in America," I said depressed. "Oh, no wonder why you are so sad. You must miss him," Molly said. "Well, it's not that. I'm worried about him. I keep on sending him letters and he doesn't answer them. It's not like him to not answer my letters," I said. "Maybe he's too busy with his studies that he has no time to answer them," Molly said thoughtfully. "You're probably right," I said feeling a bit better. "So, how was your summer?" Molly asked. I let her into the gory details. @~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~~@~~>~ After class was over, Molly treated me to a chocolate milkshake at the Crown Arcade to make me feel better. Being that I love chocolate milkshakes, my spirits rose. Looking at me again with caring eyes, she tried to comfort me. "Look Serena, no boy is worth moping over like that. I'd dump him if I were you. First he tries to push you away, and then he doesn't answer your letters. I sense a lack of trust in him, and you shouldn't trust him, either. He could be busy with another girl that he hasn't contacted you yet." "Molly, Darien is not like that. He's probably busy like you said. As for him trying to push me away, he only did that because he didn't want me to wait around for four years while he is over seas," I said taking his side. "Damn it Serena, would you listen to me just once!" Molly shouted angrily. "You leave me out for a man who is years older than you, and then you come to me when he hurts you! What do you expect me to suspect about a man who stole you from me! "Be reasonable, Serena," Molly said as she cooled off, "any boy who uses you and throws you away like yesterday's trash is not worth keeping. That's what Darien is doing to you. He hurts you over and over again thinking that you'll always be there to come back to you when he is ready." I was silent for a moment taking what Molly said in. She is right in a sense. Every time Darien pushed me away, I came running back into his arms. He probably thinks he could get away with hurting me like that over and over. Why am I so stupid not to realize that earlier? I slapped myself on my forehead in disgust. "Serena, are you okay? Look, I'm sorry for shouting at you. I just wanted to make you realize the truth. It was time someone did," Molly said sympathetically. "I'm just finding it hard to realize that you are right," I said with tears in my eyes. I was hurt again by that damned Darien. No, I'm not going to cry over him any more. @~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~>~~>@~~ That is it for chapter one. Please stay tuned for chapter two if you are not too angry with me.
