The Guardian of Time and Her Secrets
Chapter 12

	Setsuna's arms were free, but that was it. The rest of her
body was contained by the vines...
	She held her staff up and yelled, "DEAD SCREAM!"
	The glowing orb hit the vines and broke them. She fell to 
the ground, but got back up.	
	*I must warn the king and queen!* she thought. She teleported
back to Crystal Tokyo.
	
	*Oh my god...* Pluto gasped. The city was dark. All the light 
had gone out. The last time Crystal Tokyo was like this was during
the Black Moon attack.
	Some buildings had crumbled and others were just wrecks. 
Then she heard a little girl crying. 
	It was Small Lady! Setsuna ran to her. "Small Lady, are you
all right?!"
	"A bunch of...of people started attacking everything and 
everyone. I couldn't get back to the palace...so I got my LunaP
to make me invisible...so the evil people couldn't capture me."
	ChibiUsa stopped crying for a minute. "Those people
weren't from the Black Moon! They all had a little Time Key 
necklace!"
	Setsuna scooped up Small Lady in her arms. She looked 
towards the Crystal Palace. It looked undisturbed, even peaceful.
	"Small Lady, did you see your mommy anywhere?"
	"Yes...she was running through the streets, and she ignored
me when I called out to her..."
	*That must've been Zodos*, Setsuna thought. 
	Suddenly the building in front of them started collapsing.
Setsuna ran with Small Lady in her arms, and ran to the entrance
of the Palace.
	Setsuna kicked the door down and ran down the main hallway, 
not caring that she was getting footprints on the red velvet 
carpet.
	She had put ChibiUsa down, who was running beside her.
	"King Endymion, Sailor Senshi! Where are you?!" She gasped
for breath and was careful about looking in through the closed 
doors, since Zodos might be in any of the rooms.
	Setsuna passed by a room that the only the queen could go 
into...the room where the Silver Crystal was! The door had been
blasted open!
	She peeked inside, and Queen Serenity was lifting up
the clear protective case off and she took the crystal out.
	No...it wasn't Queen Serenity!
	Sailor Pluto gasped as she looked closer into the room. She
saw the Sailor Senshi lying on the floor, injured badly.
	And the king and queen! They were lying next to each other. 
The king had obviously tried to protect his wife, but it didn't 
look like he was successful.
	ChibiUsa cried out at the sight of her mother and father.
"Mommy, Daddy!" She ran into the room.
	"Small Lady, NOOO!"
	Zodos, the imposter Serenity, attacked the small child and 
she fell to the floor, knocked unconscious.
	"ZODOS! You...you attacked all of them?!"
	Zodos laughed. "Yes, Setsuna...they found me in this room,
trying to take the crystal...but the senshi were too weak against 
me! And the king was a bunch of nonsense...talking about good
always winning...they were annoying me, so I got rid of them."
	"No...they aren't dead, are they?!"
	"Some might be."
	"ZODOS!" She slammed her staff down into the ground, and
the smooth marble floor cracked.
	"Setsuna...let's have a rematch. Of the battle so long ago.
And this time, you won't have Orion to help you."
	"Fine!" she growled.


	Orion looked upon the small pool of water in the fountain.
The mortal realm was being attacked.
	He was alive. After the horrible battle with Zodos several
millennia ago, he had died, but been reborn. His father had used 
his powers to bring him back to life.
	But it came at a price. He could never leave the Underworld.
He must always stay in the Underworld...and never go to Earth
again.
	He had watched Setsuna for all these years, yearning for her.
He loved her so much...it almost killed him not being able to see 
her. 
	He wanted to tell her that he was alive, that he was okay, 
that he loved her with all his heart...
	To see her suffering hurt him so much. She didn't deserve to 
be alone. Not at all.
	Orion gasped as he saw what was happening in the water mirror.
Setsuna was ready to battle Zodos. Again! But he couldn't go up to 
Earth to help her.
	"Dammit!" he yelled, slamming his fist into the cold, hard
ground. Tears came to his eyes, but he blinked them away.
	*Setsuna...please, defeat him...I'll give you my energy...
just don't let him win!*
	
	Setsuna gripped her staff, ready to fight. But inside her
there was some doubt about whether she could really defeat Zodos
and prevent him from using the Silver Crystal.
	Zodos, still in Queen Serenity's form, held the crystal in
his hands. He laughed menacingly. "Setsuna, you've never seen
the true power of the Silver Crystal...when it's on the dark side."
	"Pluto Cosmic Power, make up!" she yelled. She turned
into Sailor Cosmic Pluto. Now her powers would be at least several
times stronger...but was it enough to beat a god?
	He held the crystal up, and it started glowing.
	*NO!* Setsuna screamed in her mind. What was he doing?! That
idiot! 
	"You'll kill us all, Zodos, you idiot!" she yelled.
	"I don't care," he glowered. "As long as I get my revenge
for what you did to me so long ago."
	The crystal and Zodos flew higher, off the ground. In the 
queen's voice, he yelled, "Silver Crystal Power!"
	The crystal's bright light sparkled, and soon all of the
city was brightened by the crystal's light. 
	Setsuna's mind raced. She couldn't let Zodos use the crystal,
or all would be lost! What could she do?!
	Zodos turned back to Pluto and held the crystal in her 
direction. "Setsuna, it's about time I destroyed this measly city,
don't you think?"
	Setsuna glared at him. She knew what she had to do. What she 
would do next would save everyone.
	But it would come at a very big price.
	She raised her Time Staff, and the orb started glowing. 
	"TIME...STOP!"
	All of time stood still. Zodos was standing in midair, the 
senshi were still lying on the ground with their king and queen.
	Silent tears fell down Setsuna's face, as she retrieved the
Silver Crystal and put it back in its place underneath the glass
cover. 
	She turned back to him. She took off the orb from the staff. 
It glowed and became larger until it was big enough to contain 
Zodos. 
	"Garnet Orb...take Zodos to the deepest part of the Universe,
where he can never come back and destroy anything again."
	The orb disappeared, and then reappeared in several seconds.
	Zodos was gone.
	She breathed a sigh of relief, and unfroze time. She could 
see the senshi getting up and hugging the queen.
	Setsuna was waiting. Waiting for her death. She had broken 
the laws of time...she had stopped time. 
	The king and queen walked towards her and hugged her.
	"Thank you, Setsuna..." Queen Serenity said. "Thank you."
	Setsuna stood still...why hadn't she died yet?
	Suddenly the room was filled with a flash of bright white 
light. Setsuna covered her eyes a little, as did everyone else.
	They watched in awe as a bubble floated into the room, and 
someone stepped out of it.
	The king gasped. "Oh my god..."
	Setsuna looked. It was...Orion!
	He ran to her, and they embraced. "Setsuna...I'm proud of 
you..."
	The long lost lovers had found each other.
	Setsuna began crying again, but this time, they were tears
of happiness. "Orion, you're alive...I missed you so much..."
	He hugged her tightly. "Setsuna...it's been torture to be
alive all these years and never being able to see you..."
	Orion saw something sparkling around her neck. It was the 
necklace he had given her. She still had it.
	Orion's eyes filled with tears. "Setsuna...you still
have my necklace?"
	"Yes, Orion...I have never taken it off, I have always kept 
it close to my heart."
	King Endymion and Queen Serenity walked up to them. "Orion
and Setsuna..." Endymion began.
	Queen Serenity smiled. "Setsuna, we are proud of what you
have done for Crystal Tokyo. If it hadn't been for you, we
would've all perished."
	She took Orion and Setsuna's hands and joined them together.
"The two lovers reunited, after all these years and obstacles...it
reminds me of Endymion and me."
	King Endymion smiled. "We are willing to use our powers to 
make sure you two won't have to go through anything else, and stay 
happily in love..."
	Queen Serenity's crescent moon on her forehead began glowing,
and it shined a tiny beam to Setsuna's forehead. The symbol of 
Pluto glowed for several moments.
	"Setsuna...Senshi of Pluto, Guardian of Time. I take away your 
burden of being the keeper of Time. You are now Queen Setsuna, of Pluto."
	King Endymion took his sword, and motioned at Orion to kneel
on the ground.
	He placed his sword on Orion's head. "And Orion, prince
of Hades, I now give you the title as King Orion of Pluto."
	The king took the sword off, and Orion stood back up.
He bowed to the king and queen. "Thank you, your majesties...
thank you so much."
	Orion and Setsuna hugged each other happily.
	"Setsuna," he whispered in her ear, "I love you. And I 
always will, for the rest of eternity."
	She kissed him, and this time, his lips didn't fall away from 
hers...

~~~So, how did you like it??? This was my first fanfic ever, and 
I'm kinda proud that I actually stuck with it.
	I wasn't sure whether to have a happy or sad ending, but I 
like both. So i just decided to make it happy. After all, Setsuna 
deserves happiness and love, after what she's done!
	Heh heh...maybe I will write a sequel to this, I don't know.
But I will be writing other fanfics too, so keep an eye out for 
them.
