Oh well, most of my stories make her slightly violent. anyway, any feedback would be appreciated, and usual disclaimers hold for the SM characters in here....the story is mine though. well, on with the story. The Awakening part 4 by battie ------------------------------------- "Three months?!?! You've got to be kidding me." I stated in confusion. I could have sworn it was only a few hours ago that I got clobbered in the head. "And what happened to Seiya? He was with me when all of this happened. Did that maniac attack him too?" The three women looked at each other, more than likely conversing mentally. Getting pived I tried to concentrate on hearing what they were saying. After a few seconds I was starting to feel slightly foolish when out of the blue a heard their voices blaring in my mind. Wincing and throwing my hands up to my ears, trying desperetly to block out the racket, I started to shout, "Stop talking so loud! Your killing me!" Lady Rei turned around in surprise, looking at me as though I had grown a second head. Blinking a few times and shaking her head she looked at the others quickly before walking over to my bedside. "How did you do that?" She asked in a slightly irratiated tone, she didn't like being caught off guard. "What, do you mean here what you were saying?," after a nod of confirmation I began again,"I just wanted to hear what you were discussing so I tried concentrating really hard. Then all of your voices started blaring in my head. It was very loud." Staring at me for a few more seconds Lady Rei turned around, spoke in low tones to the other two, and walked out of the door. Makoto and Ami stood for a few minutes, trying to decide whether to stay in the room or go after Rei. Leaving finally won out, they took off with muttered words of good-bye. Sitting there I tried to decide what I was going to do. I was stuck with a few odd balls in a hospital room with all kinds of weird tubes stuck to me. Coming to a decision I swung my legs over the side of the bed and proceeded to tear out all of the IV's that were connected to me. Some of the monitors went of so I hurriedly took the plugs out to avoid getting caught. I felt strange, when a wave of dizziness went through me, blurring my vision, I grabbed the nearest stable object, which just happened to be the metal end of the bed. Squeezing hard on the metal to help the dizzyness pass I stood there for a few minutes. When I was finally able to open my eyes again I took my hand off the bed. When I did I heard a something fall to the floor with a metallic bang. Looking down I saw that it was part of the bed, on closer inspection it turned out to be the peice that I had been gripping, it also had my finger inprints on them. 'Okay, is it me or is this bed made out of alumium?' Glancing at the bed again I grabbed another part and squeezed. It was like partially dryed out clay in my hands, not to hard but no too soft. This was definitely getting weird. I looked around for something that looked like it would be made out of a tougher medal. The only other thing was the steel looking door. I walked over to it and placed my hand on the panel that was the equivalent to a door handle. Pushing hard on it I could feel it give away slightly. Concentrating on my muscles I tried to increase the pressure I was putting on it. This time I almost slammed face first on the door when my arm suddenly went through the door handle. I carefully pulled my hand out and stared at it in a detached sort of amazement. This was getting pretty cool. 'Hmm...I wonder if it works the opposite way?' Concentrating again I thought of how it would feel if I was weak. Pushing the door again nothing happened, I felt like I was trying to push a redwood over, I wasn't doing anything to the door. Reverting back I decied to get out of my little locked up room. Placing a hand on each side of the door I pushed as hard as I could, this time I was prepared though, when the door came crashing down I pulled back. Walking out of my new doorway I looked up and down the hall both ways. All was clear. Listening for noise I heard a faint sound of cheering down on the left. Walking towards the sound I went through several hallways before I came to a big entrance door of some sort. Looking down at my outfit before I went in I straightened my plain white gown, this would have to do. Pushing at the door lightly bright white light flooded the hallway. When my eyes adjusted I walked further in and took a look around. It looked like a huge arena, it also looked like I was at the wrong entry. A huge giant of a man looked up, from the victem he was pulverizing, to glare at me. Gulping slightly before I felt my usual fear-nothing attitude come back I walked towards the center of the arena. Looking up I saw thousand of people lining the raised bleachors around me. I had never seen this many people all together at one time before. At the bellow of outrage I looked down again to see the giant brute coming at me at full speed. Widening my eyes I tried to think of something to do so I just reacted instinctivly. Drawing my arm back I gave him an upper cut when he reached me. Only a small measure of my new found power had been behind that punch. I had succeeded in catching the man off guard though and my punch sent him tumbling back on his butt. A look of rage passed over his face when the crowd went wild for her, this was supposed to be his fight, they weren't supposed to cheer for her. Jumping up he started to swing on me. The first punch caught me in the side of the head and sent me into one of the columns that littered the arena floor. 'That's going to cause a headache.' Picking myself off of the floor I shoke my head in an effort to get rid of the fuzzy edges of my vision. Putting my hand on the back of my head I came away with blood. I started to panic slightly when the big brute came at me again, he was at least three times my size and had already showed me that he was fast. Looking above me at one of the columns I saw that it had a small platform about halfway up. Bunching my thigh muscles together to prepare for the jump I sprung up and grabbed ahold of the very edge. Looking down at my attacker I saw in look up in vexation and prepare to climb after me. My grip was starting to slip. Calling up all of my upper body strength I hauled myself onto the platform and stood up. Observing the arena from up here I could see that there was a series of these on random columns with chains in between with which to swing yourself on. 'Hmm....I wonder...' Jumping off of my little safe haven I reached for the nearest chain and swung myself towards the next platform. One this one there was a few weapons, if that's what you would call them. One was a rather large stick that had a big shpere shape on the end. Obviously you were supposed to brain your rival with this and then run like a bat out of hell. That wouldn't do, I was starting to get dizzy and I wouldn't be able to run that fast. The screaming crowd distracted me for a moment, a moment I regreted when I felt a massive paw wrap around my ankle and pull me over the edge. Grabbing the first thing I could I hit the ground with a resounding thud. The wind was knocked out of me, leaving me momentarily helpless to the attack of the sneering oaf above me. A blow to the chin left me feeling dazed, and a kick to the stomach gave me the needed motovation to scramble out of the way of the next hit. Crouching on my knees I looked at the weapon I had picked up, I looked like a gantlet of some sort. This would be useless. What a minute....I slipped the thing on my right arm and felt it lock into place with a metallic click. Putting my arm in the air and pointing it towards the giant I tapped one of the buttons that was stragically placed side. An electric current flew from the palm of my hand, missing the monster of a man and hitting the column behind him. I looked at it briefly in amazement, the whole column had exploded into small peices, one of which had thankfully hit my assailant in the back of the head, leaving him merifully unconsious. Unfolding myself from my crouched position proved hard, right as I stood up I fell back down from the swirling of my head. When I saw the a group of guards running towards me I tried to get up and escape. I actually got as far as the other side of the arena before I looked up into the stands and saw him. It was Seiya. With him were five other people, one of them was the brown haired man who had hit me over the head at my apartment. He must be in trouble, I'll help him, then maybe we can get out of here together. Jumping up I landed on the box seat that he and his compainions were seated in. "Seiya! Come on we gotta get out of here!" Grabbing his hand I tried to pull him from his seat and was met with resistance. "Come on! What's wrong with you?" He looked up at me in resignation and pulled his hand free from mine. Jestering to one of the guards who had just showed up he motioned them toward me. Looking around to the others I saw two were older, probably in their forties, and the other two were young men, with an uncanny resemblance to seiya. Their builds were simalar, not their looks. The tallest had long brown hair, and and intelligent looking, albeit thin face. The other, the shortest, had silver looking hair and blue eyes. "I'm sorry Usagi, I'm not looking to be saved. This is my home." Seiya's melodic voice broke through my thoughts. Looking at him I finally admitted what I had been unable to before. His was the voice I heard before I blacked out. He was the one who said he was sorry. Now I knew why. He had betrayed me. "You brought me hear?" I tried to keep the betrayel from my voice as I spoke, "Why? I thought you were my friend." Looking at him I thought I detected shame in his gaze. This enraged me. Here I had thought that he cared about me, had been nursing a crush on him. And he turns out to be a double crossing ALIEN! When he tried to speak again I lashed out at him. The sound of flesh hitting flesh could be heard echoing through the now silent arena. My hand stung where it made contact with his cheek, and I could see a red welt making its way to the surface on his face. When the guards ran at me I lifted my right arm and let loose a surge of energy from my new toy. It moved through the air like a gust of wind and hit the oncoming guards, blowing them over like so many leaves. Turning to glare at Seiya again I could see that the three women from before, Rei, Ami, and Makoto, had arrived. Rei made a few gestures with her hands and a ball of fire flew at me. Jumping out of the way, breaking my gantlet on the way down, I rolled behind one of the big chairs adorning the platform. Feeling some kind of power well up from within me, I close my eyes and envisioned the power coming up to rest in my hands. Standing up quickly I caught sight of Makoto crossing her arms, little bolts of electricity coming out of her hands, before I put my hands together and threw the ball of energy I made at all three of them. Ami had looked up just in time to see it coming. When the dust from the explosion died away it revealed all three of them to be just fine, standing behind a wall of energy, that proved to be a sheild, coming from Ami. I turned around to jump back down to the ground when I felt something hit me in the back. I had forgotten about the bolt of energy Makoto had been working on. I felt the pain burst in my head like a fireworks display and hit the floor. Looking around weakly, about to faint from the pain surging through me, I saw Seiya looking at me with pity. Giving him my most hate filled glare I promtly passed out. Maybe I'd die and all of the confusion would be over. ---------------------------------------------- okay, all done kiddies! well for this chapter at least. anyway, see ya later. battie8199@aol.com Get your FREE Email at http://mailcity.lycos.com Get your PERSONALIZED START PAGE at http://my.lycos.com
