Hello minna! I'm going to make sure I get everything in, and not forget anything. First of all, and most importantly, I have a new e-mail address. You can now e-mail me at acacia_aben@yahoo.com. My other e-mail is still there, but I would rather you e-mail me here, okay? I'd like to thank a couple of people before I let you go and read the story. I'd like to thank Lady Guinevere, who is one of my good friends that write stories too. You should all go read her story, "Ami's Diaries." It's a refreshing change from most of the usual romantic interests. She has the most unusual couple I've read about, but it works great! I'd like to also thank Bettina for her great notes. I've really enjoyed reading them, and I hope she's enjoyed reading my letters. She's a great friend, and she has a lot of information to give me about Sailor Moon. She even gave me an address to get the Sailor Moon R movie. I'm really grateful to her. Thank you, Bettina! I have been forgetting to thank everyone else that has been writing me, and I'm really sorry. I love getting mail, especially compliments on my writing. I really appreciate your letters, and I love reading them. Disclaimer- I do not own Sailor Moon, except for this plot, and Jennie, Lisa, Lance, and Tommy. Also Rien. Nothing else is mine, and I do not intend to pass it off as mine, because I am not that talented, or as lucky, to own Sailor Moon, and write it. Okay, I think that made a little sense, so now on with the story! See you at the end! ----------------------------------------------------------- Finding Faith- Chapter Two By Acacia Aben ----------------------------------------------------------- Part Two Serena turned the doorknob, and with a breath's pause, pushed the door open. She walked into the room. A girl was sitting in the bed, facing away from her. "Pamela?" She turned, and when she saw Serena, her fierce demeanor wavered. "You're Serena." Serena smiled. "Yes, I am. I am so glad to meet you. I can't believe I have a twin. It's all so strange." Pam smiled, then a frown replaced it. Finally, she relaxed, and smiled lightly. "I know what you mean. It's kind of strange to see someone that looks just like you, don't you think?" Serena giggled, and sat down on the bed next to her. "Oh, yes. Pamela, but your eyes are gray, so no one will get us confused." Pam smiled wickedly, "Are you sure? My eyes can look very close to blue sometimes. Yours look a lot like gray sometimes too, I bet. Most likely a lot of people will get us mixed up. Can I-" She hesitated, then blurted it out. "Can I call you Sere?" Serena smiled. "What can I call you? Everyone calls you Pam, so that won't be special. What would be?" Pam smiled, relieved that she had gotten that over with. "Well, maybe since Pam isn't going to be my name forever, you can call me Lina. My middle name is Angeline. And I like it, so I hope it will stay that way." Serena grinned. "That sounds great. So, what do you like to do?" Pam shrugged. "It doesn't matter. I like playing video games. I like martial arts. They're pretty fun to learn. It doesn't really matter." Serena shrugged, then brightened up. "I can't wait for you to meet my friends. They really want to meet you." Pam smiled at Serena's excited tone. "I don't think they'll like me very much. I like to do strange things, according to some people. Martial arts isn't a very popular thing for a girl to do." Serena laughed delightedly. "I don't think that's going to matter. Lita loves to fight, Mina has been taking martial arts for years, Raye has a temper larger than the Mississippi River, and Amy is so smart that she gets teased about it sometimes. They'll like you, trust me." Pam nodded slowly. "I hope so." Then she smiled brightly. "You know what? Even if I just met you ten minutes ago, I feel like I've known you forever." Serena smiled, "You know what, Lina? I know exactly what you mean. I guess it's because we're twins." Pamela grinned. "I think so, Sere." Her smile wavered for a second. Then it was back in place, with more reservation behind it. "I was thinking, maybe, that I could meet my parents. Our parents." Serena was stunned, then she grinned. "They would love to see you. I know when they told Mom and Dad about you, they were overjoyed. Mom started crying, and Dad almost was." Pamela blinked, then a tremulous smile grew across her face. "Can you get them? And maybe stay in here when I first meet them? I've never had parents, so I don't know what to do." A tear trickled down her cheek. "I don't know how to deal with this." Serena suddenly understood. "And that's why you wouldn't see them?" Pam nodded. "Yeah." Serena smiled, and gave Pamela a huge hug. "Well, you're going to like having parents, despite the fact that Dad sometimes chases boyfriends out of the yard. In fact, he always chases boyfriend out of the yard." Pamela smiled and laughed out loud. "Really?" She asked through her gasps for breath. Serena nodded, "Oh, yes. Darien was afraid to go near him." Pam winked when she heard the name Darien. "And Darien would be. . . " Serena made a face at her sister. "My boyfriend. He's really hot." Pamela laughed. "I promise I won't get any ideas. He's all yours." Serena's eyes brightened. "You've met him. He thought you were me a few days ago. Do you remember?" Pam frowned, then she remembered why the name seemed familiar. "Yes, I do. He is kind of cute, in a darkly handsome way. Not my type, I'm pretty sure." Serena grinned. "What is your type?" Pam smiled, winking again. "Blond and blue eyed." Serena smiled knowingly. "That's what I thought, at least until I met Darien." She reconsidered her words. "Well, actually, when I first met him, we hated each other on sight, but once I realized I loved him, and he loved me, I decided that black hair and dark blue eyes are strictly my type. To be more specific, Darien is exactly my type." Pam grinned. "I sense true love. You can tell me, your sis. What was it like when you two met?" Serena grinned back. "Well. . . " Their long talk went on until Pam got up the nerve to meet her parents for the first time, a half an hour later. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pam took a deep breath. Serena had just walked out the door to get her family. Her family. The words sounded strange to her. She had a family. A real family, not one that took care of her because they had to, because if they didn't, the money that they got from taking care of her would disappear. These people were going to take care of her because they cared about her. Because they. . . might even love her. It was almost to much for Pam. And soon, she would even be leaving that behind. Her name was really Faye. Faye Tsukino. She smiled. "Well, I might as well start going by Faye now, to get used to it." She had been in the hospital, unconscious, for almost twenty four hours. When she had fallen, she had hurt her head pretty badly. She had suffered a concussion, besides, shock had been severe from seeing Sere for the first time. Which reminded her, she had memories of a dream. One that had occurred during her long sleep. It had been a long dream, but the memories of it were vague and unclear. She remembered a girl named Serenity, who had looked like her twin, Serena. Faye had been called Faith. Faye grinned. "I am going to meet them in a few seconds. I'm so nervous." Then she laughed. "I'm even talking to myself!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serena looked anxiously at her parents. "She says that she wants to be known as Faye now, because that is really her name. She doesn't like Pam." Irene nodded, looking towards to door. "Serena, are you going to let us go in?" Serena blushed. "Oh, sure. Oh, and she said that she wants her middle name to stay the way it is, if you don't mind. Angeline. She likes that name." Kenji frowned. "Of course, but Serena, if you don't move now, we will move you out of the way." Sammy rolled his eyes. "Yeah Serena. I thought she wanted to see us. Did you forget?" Serena stuck her tongue out at him, and then they all waited as she opened the door. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Faye looked at the door, her nervousness barely under control, as Serena came in. A woman walked in, followed by a man and a young boy. The woman smiled tightly, her eyes brimming with unreleased emotion. "Faye?" She nodded, then swallowed hard. "You must be my mother. And Dad, and Sammy?" The boy frowned. "Yes, that's me. Serena didn't say anything bad about me, did she? If she did, it's not true." Irene gasped, laughing a little. "Sammy!" Faye exchanged a glance with Serena. She had told Faye that he was a big brat. "No, she didn't say anything." Faye lied, after a long pause. Serena grinned. Kenji took a step forward. "So, how do you feel?" He asked awkwardly. Faye shrugged. "I have a headache, but I'm all right." Irene sat down in the chair beside her bed. She hesitated before speaking. "Faye, I really want you to be happy. But if this is to uncomfortable, you can move slowly. You know, stay at the orphanage until you know us well enough to move to our home. Or, you could just stay there, and we could visit you a lot." Faye looked down at her feet for a moment, and when she looked up, she was shaking her head. "No, I want to get out of that home. I have always wanted a family. It's been my dream. And now I have a family. My family. I might feel uncomfortable at first, but the best way to get to know people is to live with them. And I already feel like I've known Sere my whole life." Serena grinned. "Twin bond. Right, Lina?" Faye nodded firmly. "Right." Irene smiled. "Great! We all want to get to know you." Kenji smiled, and agreed heartily. "We all are so glad that you're with us now." Sammy shook his head hesitantly. He was positive Serena had said something, but being unable to prove it, he didn't say anything. "It's going to be hard, having two Serena's around, but I'll make do." Serena gasped, and cried out, "Sammy, you spore! I'm going to kill you!" She took off at a run and Sammy jumped out of her way. She hit the wall with a thud, and smiled dazedly. Faye giggled. Serena shook her head, and said, "You're going to meet Luna right when we get home. She's my cat, and now she'll be yours too." Faye perked up. "A cat? I've always wanted one, but they nuns never let me have one. I can't wait to meet her." Sammy rolled his eyes. "Luna's a great cat, but she likes Serena best. She's always following her around." Faye's face glowed. She wasn't completely a ease around them yet, but she felt a closeness, something she had never felt before. And she liked it. @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Serena set down Faye's bag with a thud. "This is our room," Serena announced proudly. Bunk beds had been set up, and a picture that had been taken while Faye was still in the hospital, of the whole family, was sitting on the dresser. Faye walked over and picked it up. She looked over to Serena and smiled. It had only been a week, but Faye and Serena's differences were becoming clear for the family. She liked confuse people on her identity. She had already convinced Serena to play her in the hospital bed, and when their parents had come in, they hadn't been able to tell, until Serena lost control and started laughing hysterically. She wasn't any more focused on her schoolwork, that much was clear from the pile of undone schoolwork, but for different reasons. Unlike Serena, who couldn't stay focused on it, she just put it off because she hated getting distracted by the schoolwork itself. Faye wasn't klutzy, she was more graceful, but instead of being incredibly delicate looking, she seemed stronger. It was difficult, because physically, they were identical. Other differences hadn't been determined yet. Irene would laugh every time Sammy treated Faye like Serena, which wasn't often, but when he mistook Faye for Serena, she would respond differently. She didn't lose control like Serena, she calmly grabbed him and threatened to hurt him if he didn't apologize. She did the same thing when he upset Serena, if Serena asked her to. She thought it was great that her sister could catch the rodent easily. Sammy wasn't afraid of his sister, he knew that she wouldn't hurt him, but he was pretty angry when Faye bested him. Faye grinned wickedly. "Think anyone will be able to tell the difference when we go to school tomorrow?" Serena shook her head. "Uh huh. No way. I can't wait for you to meet my friends though. They are really excited about meeting you. Only two of them go to our school, so my best friend Raye invited everyone over to her temple after school." Faye shrugged. "I hope that they'll like me. So far, you're the only person I've met. And that's only because you're my sister. Kind of depressing." Serena winked. "Well, I want to know if you can get them to think you're me. After all, we are twins, and our eyes look a lot alike, even if yours are gray. In the morning, gray looks like blue. But your eyes are gray-blue anyway." Faye smiled her wicked smile again. "I can't imitate you pretty well too. Remember when I played you in the hospital?" Serena laughed hysterically. "Yes! You were great." Then she frowned in renewed memory. "But I think you overdid the klutziness. I have never crashed into five tables within five minutes of another." Faye teased her. "They bought it, didn't they?" Serena frowned. "Only because they were worried about how you were." In a few minutes, alternating cries of laughter and denials filled the house. @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Faye grinned at Serena. "I told you, we look identical." Serena stuck out her tongue. "You were the one worried. I knew that we would look exactly alike. We are twins, after all." Faye retorted quickly. "I'm just surprised you're up on time. From what Mom told me, you're always late for school." Serena turned bright red. "Well, you did a god job of waking me up. Screaming in my ear may have been a little to much though." Faye shook her head knowingly. "Nope. I tried suffocating you, just to wake you up, and you didn't even flinch. I was impressed." Serena puffed up with faked pride. "You should be. And just think, I'm your sister. You could go to all the newspapers, and say, 'my sister doesn't need to breath while she's sleeping.' You would be famous. People from all around the world would say, 'look, isn't it that girl? You know, the one whose sister doesn't need to breath?' You'd have lots of money, and definitely a lot of guys." Faye laughed. "Speaking of guys, when am I going to meet Darien? I mean, officially?" Serena smiled brightly. "He's picking us up from school, along with Amy and Lita, and taking us to Raye's. Then he'll stay for a while over there, until he decided the talk is getting too girlie. Then he leaves." Faye shot a pointed, raised-eyebrow look at her sister. "But not without giving you a good-bye kiss, I assume." Serena giggled. "Of course. If he didn't, he knows I would yell at him." Faye nodded wisely, and made another joke. The girls headed for school, laughing loudly, until they reached the familiar school building. Faye turned to Serena. "Well, Sere, this is it. Remember, you're answering to Faye." Serena nodded. "And Lina, remember, if someone calls you a ditz, you can't attack them. Lita always does that for me." Faye nodded resolutely, and they went in the gate. @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ 'Serena' laughed silently. This was great. Serena had described her friends to her, and she had successfully identified one of them. It had been easy to spot the suppressed laughter in 'Faye's' eyes when she was introduced to Molly, her own real best friend. Molly hadn't been able to tell. Serena insisted that her other friends, Lita and Amy would be able to tell soon after they had started talking to the two of them, if not right away. Faye could sense that Serena was right, so they had revealed the truth to the surprised, but understanding Molly. Her reaction had been funny though. "It's great to meet you Faye," Molly said. "That was a good joke. I couldn't tell the two of you apart!" She looked around as the bell rang. "We've got to go." Serena looked ruefully at Faye "Maybe today will start better than the last time you came to school." Faye laughed. "I don't know, Sere. Last time was pretty good. I got to get out of school, didn't I? And so did you!" Serena considered her twin's words. Then she laughed too. "You're right, Lina! It was a pretty good day." Molly had already taken off for the classroom, and Serena and Faye followed at a run. They barely made it into the room on time. Ms. Haruna looked up as they came in. She looked a little shell-shocked. probably scared at the prospect of two Serena's, but then she smiled. "Which one of you is Faye?" Serena grinned at Faye as she said loudly, "I'm Serena, this is Faye." Faye nodded. "Yeah, I'm Faye. Where should I sit? I would like to sit next to Sere, if it's okay." Ms. Haruna nodded. "You can sit beside her, there's an empty seat there." Faye nodded, and she took her seat. The rest of the class time was a blur, until she fell asleep, and Ms. Haruna woke her up. It was kind of embarrassing, in a weird sort of way. At lunch, Faye met Serena's friends. @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~@ Faye walked slowly out the door. She knew that Lita and Amy had been in her class, but she wasn't sure who hey were, and she hadn't met them yet. Faye smiled at Serena. "I'm nervous, even though I know I shouldn't be." Serena rolled her eyes. "Don't be nervous. They're just as anxious to meet you. I though Mina was going to have a heart attack worrying about what you would think of her. Raye wasn't worried, but Amy and Lita are excited about meeting you." Faye nodded, and felt her carefree attitude come back. They made their way up to the roof. That was where Lita and Amy had decided to meet them. Two girls came into view. Faye smiled at them shyly. One had short blue hair, and a reserved attitude. She smiled courteously at Faye. The other girl had long red-brown hair, up in a ponytail. She smiled widely at Faye. Faye knew instantly that this girl was going to be a good friend. "Hi," Faye stuck out her hand. "I'm Faye Tsukino. Nice to meet both of you." The blue-hair girl smiled again. "I'm Amy Anderson. I'm so glad to finally meet you. Serena has been bombarding us with stories about you. I thought Raye was going to shoot her. I know we were all anxious to meet you." The other girl nodded. "Yeah. I'm Lita Kino. Serena's been really excited the past week. I couldn't wait to meet you." Faye grinned at Serena. "It's weird, having someone who looks exactly like you around, but we're getting used to it, right Sere?" Serena grinned back. "Sure, Lina. I'm just still in shock that I have a twin at all." Amy frowned. "Lina?" Faye smiled, "It's what she calls me. I call her Sere, and she calls me Lina. Twin thing. It's a reference to my middle name, Angelina." Lita nodded. "Makes sense." Serena brightened as she remembered something. "You guys might have noticed it already, but the kinda interesting thing is that Faye and I are nothing alike. She's more like you Lita, in a more subtle way. She plays jokes on people who bother her, but if that doesn't work, she goes after them." Faye rolled her eyes. "Thanks. I think." Lita laughed. "I found an insult in there too." Serena pouted. "I meant it in a good way. Really." Amy smiled gently at Serena. "They were just teasing you, Serena. I think it was funny." Serena pouted for another second, then grinned. "I know, but I don't care." @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Word spread like wildfire in the school, and soon everyone knew about Faye. People came up to the two of them in the hallway, and asked them about it. Faye thought it was fun to joke about it. Serena got in a fight with Faye about that, but soon they had made up. "I still think we should tell people that we get ourselves mixed up. That one girl, Melissa bought it. Her reaction was so funny!" Serena shook her head. "No. Uh-uh. There is no way I'm going to tell people that. Where is Darien? We'd get to the temple faster if we walked." Amy rolled her eyes. "We've been waiting for fifteen seconds, approximately. And we got let out early, Serena. If he doesn't get here for another ten minutes, he'd be early." Lita giggled when both Serena and Faye stuck their tongues out at Amy at exactly the same time, with no planning. The shock on their faces was funny, but then they started to laugh. At the same time. Lita laughed. "You know, it's kind of freaky when you two do that. Raye's going to blow her top if she thinks Faye acts the same way as Serena. You know she will." Serena slowly understood. "You want us to act alike, to make Raye mad?" Faye's eyes lit up, "Yeah! It would be fun. I can act like Serena, I totally have her personality down. It's going to be great!" Amy started to argue, but just then a red car pulled up. Darien's face peered out from the front. "I assume you all are going to get in? Is that Faye?" He asked, nodded to her. Faye nodded, "You must be Darien." She fluttered her eyelashes. "Serena's told me so much about you!" Serena frowned, and punched her sister in the shoulder. "Be nice, Faye. I'm the only one who can insult him. Hi, Muffin, it's about time you got here." Darien smiled as Serena sat in the front seat, and everyone else squeezed in the back. "I'm early. Is everyone in and seated?" Faye called out from the backseat. "I'm not sure if you would call this seated, exactly, more like shoved into place, but I'm good." Amy and Lita muttered their assents less vocally. Darien smiled. "You're not very much like Serena are you? You're louder and mouthier. Very different." Faye grinned. "Yep, we're nothing alike. But don't tell Raye that, kay?" Darien shot Serena a look, and she blushed. "It was Lita's idea. Faye's going to act like me to blow Raye's gasket." Darien laughed, and said through gales of laughter, "Remind me not to ask next time." Serena frowned at her boyfriend's actions, then smiled. "Fine, I'll be sure to remind you. Along with hitting you over the head every time you insult my friend's ideas!" Darien stopped laughing, and turned his mind back to driving. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Faye took a deep breath. She turned to Lita, Amy and Serena. "Cover for me if I make a mistake, okay? I'm going to do this right." Lita grinned. "Sure." Serena smiled, "You'll be great, Lina. It's going to be so fun!" Faye opened the door to the car, and got out. Serena was already out, talking in from the window, and Darien was behind her, tapping his heel, and smiling slightly. Lita and Amy followed. Mina ran down the stairs, waving and smiling. After she reached the bottom, she stared for a few tense seconds at Serena and Faye, her forehead was shrunched up in concentration. Then she smiled. She stepped up to Faye and said brightly, "Hi Faye. My name is Mina. I'm so glad to finally meet you." Faye smiled, and in a great imitation of Serena, she already had the voice, so all she had to do was get the attitude right. "Hi, yep, I'm Faye. Your shirt is so cool! Is there any food around?" Lita snorted, in an attempt to keep back laughter. She had gotten to know Faye pretty well, and it was funny to see her act like Serena. Mina looked at Lita, curiosity on her face. Lita struggled to come up with a reasonable explanation. "I was snorting, like a pig. You know, she likes to eat. Like a pig." Mina nodded, understanding covering her features. The only problem was that her words had created another problem. Serena's lip trembled, and Faye's eyes watered. In a few seconds, the waterworks were on. Double waterworks Raye ran down the steps, anger on her face. "Serena, what's wrong now? Why are you such a baby?" Darien was hit by a sobbing girl a few seconds later. It only took him a few more seconds to calm her down. All he had to do was kiss her, and she got distracted. Serena turned to see the stunned look on Raye's face. It was too much. She burst out laughing. With Serena started, Lita giggled, then began to laugh outright. Amy laughed in a ladylike fashion, mirth in her eyes. Darien smiled, and laughed too. Mina stood with a confused look on her face, but Raye got angry, naturally. "What is wrong with all of you?" The only one to answer was, surprisingly, Faye herself. Wiping away tears, she said grumpily. "Why did you guys have to go and give it away? It's hard keeping up those tears. They both totally bought it." Amy stopped laughing, after a few seconds. "I'm sorry Faye. But it was so funny to see you, of all people, act like that. You wouldn't cry if you broke your leg, would you?" Faye smiled. "I did that once. Never shed a tear." Serena put her hands on her hips. "I resent that. Are you saying that she's better than me because she isn't like me?" Faye shook her head. "Don't be silly. You're better than me because you are like that. If you weren't who you are, than a whole lot of people would be much sadder. You're kind and honest, and innocent. I'm not, and sometimes even I wish I was. So, actually what that means is that because you aren't like me, you're just what everyone needs." That caused everyone to blink. Darien smiled slightly. She had only knew her sister for a few days, and she had already realized what it had taken him and her friends months to realize. But maybe it was because she was her sister. Maybe they had that twin bond that people loved to talk about so much. Raye broke the silence. "What the hell is going on? Why are all of you acting like this?" Serena looked guiltily at her best friend. "We wanted to see how you'd react if you thought Faye was just like me, when in reality she's absolutely nothing like me at all." Raye stood there with her mouth wide open. Mina giggled. Faye smiled, and held out her hand to Raye, "Hi, I'm Faye, in case you haven't figured it out yet. I've heard so much about you." Raye nodded, and her face was turning red. Everyone could tell she was getting ready to lash out at Serena. Then she smiled back at Faye "Yeah, it's nice to meet you too. I was wondering when Meatball Head would get around to letting me meet you. I can tell you every stupid thing she's ever done." Faye's eyes lit up, "Really? I'd love to hear all of them." Raye frowned. "That would take a long, long time. You might die before I can tell you all of them." Serena saw red, and she started yelling, "Raye, why are you so mean?" Raye shrugged, smiling. "I'm not mean, you're just dumb." "I am not dumb!" "Are so!" "Are not!" The fight ended when Raye stuck her tongue out at Serena, and she retaliated for once not by sticking her out, but by pushing Raye over. It was a very long time before anyone could hear anything over the din of Raye's yelling and Serena's shrieks. ---------------------------------------------------------- End of Chapter Two ---------------------------------------------------------- Well, I hope you like it. I'm in the middle of Chapter Three, but at the rate I'm going, it should be done in time to put it up next week. I will not send it to anyone, so don't ask. But if you write and ask me, I'll give you an overview of what's going to happen in Chapter three. Okay everyone? Seeya! ~Acacia
