Hi Everybody!!!! It's part two of "To Lose Love". Well, I put this out as soon as I could, okay??? It's kinda short, I think, but I hope you all forgive me. First of all, I don't own Sailor Moon. None of the other scouts, not even one. So please no one sue me. I have nothing, not one penny. You will get nothing. I do own, however, the plot of the story, and the people I have made up. They are mine, and I will be VERY upset if you take them without asking me first, okay??? And ask me before you take this story to post it. I will most likely say yes, because I am nice, but you have to ask. Okay, now all the people I have to thank. First and most importantly, Lady Guinevere, who was really excited for me when she saw I had posted my story. You all have to go read her story, "Ami's Diaries," as soon as you finish reading this. It is a really great story. I love it. Which reminds me, please post more of it, I can't wait to read the next part!! She helped reassure me when I wasn't sure about what I should do about a part of my story, which will happen in Part Three. THANK YOU, so much!!! I'd also like to thank Bettina, who is a great person. She wrote me and told me that I did a great job. I really appreciate it!!! Keep writing me!!!! And to all of you that gave me such a great response after reading part one!!!! I love all of you. Thank you all so much. Keep writing me please!!! I love getting e-mail. Send everything to bwarner@bright.net, in case you forgot. Please no flames!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To Lose Love- Part Two By Acacia Aben --------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Two Mina was the one chosen to make the call to Darien. She felt guilty, still, so it was very easy to talk her into it. She picked up the phone. After a long hesitation, and a few deep breaths, she dialed a number. On the other end it rang three times before Darien picked up. "Hello?" Mina decided to get it over with. "Darien, this is Mina. I have bad news. Serena's ran away/ I mean it, she's gone. Vanished. Clothes, money, she took everything." Darien said nothing for a second. Then, "Oh god, what have I done?" Mina knew it was a rhetorical question. Knew it, but she couldn't help answering the horrible question, which had a horrible answer. "Perhaps the worst thing in the universe. Come to the temple right away, we need your help trying to find her." "I'll be there." @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Serena stepped off the bus, and looked around with interest. This was going to be her new home. The bus wasn't actually done with it's trip, but since it went through Northton, it had just stopped to let Serena and Lance get their things, instead of making them go another twenty miles to the official stop, and then coming back the way they had just came. It wouldn't have been worth it. "Serena? Here's your suitcase," Lance said from behind her. She turned and took it with a smile. "It's so beautiful here, Lance. I'm going to love it here!" The were surrounded by a flat landscape, but it was so unlike Tokyo, or anywhere Serena had been, that it was breathtaking. A blend of oranges and reds covered the landscape, with and occasional small brown bush. It was hot, but to Serena, never having seen anything like it, it was amazingly beautiful. Lance grinned, and hefted his bags on his shoulders, and grabbed two of Serena's four suitcases. "Good, maybe in time you'll lose that eternally sad expression," he said with raised eyebrows. Serena was startled, just for a second. Then she began to laugh, a sound like beautiful twinkling bells that for the first time since they'd met was given without hesitation or reservation. Then finally, her laughter slowed, and she said very softly, humor still clouding her voice, "I hope so. With you around, who wouldn't?" Lance raised his eyebrows again, smiling at her laughter. :I sense an insult in there somewhere, but until I find it, I'm going to agree." Serena started to laugh again. @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Lance smiled at Serena. They had walked from the bus stop to his house, because they had no ride, and it was a small town. "We're here," Lance announced proudly, and walked up the sidewalk toward the modest-sized house. It was a light tan, and had red clay shingles. She thought it was lovely. Serena followed him up to the door, and he walked in, with her following him. "Mom, Jennie? Tommy? Anyone home? I'm back!" Lance called out loudly. Serena stood behind him, fidgeting uncomfortably. She felt very out of place. What if his mom didn't want her to live here? She would have no where to go! "Lance?" A large plump woman came running into the hall they were standing in. A teenage girl and a young boy came in after her, at a slower pace. The woman gave him a huge bear hug, then pulling back to look at him. She looked delighted to see him. Then she focused on Serena standing behind him. Her eyes twinkled. "And who is this, Lance? She's very pretty!" Lance grinned at Serena's blush. "Mom, this is Serena Tsukino. Serena, this is my family. My mom, Lisa Miller, and my sister, Jennie, who's nineteen, like you. Last comes my little brother, Tommy, who's thirteen. Guy's this is Serena. We met on the plane over here, and she needs a place to stay. I volunteered here. She can stay in the spare bedroom." Serena smiled sweetly, "Pleased to meet all of you. I hope you don't mind, but I don't have anywhere else to go. Is it really okay?" Lisa nodded, smiling hugely. "Of course! Everyone's welcome here! You all come sit down in the living room. You both must be starving. I'll go make something. Jennie and Tommy, you keep them both talking, you hear?" At their nod, she hurried into what Serena assumed must be the kitchen. Lance and Serena were sat in chairs in the living room. Jennie broke the awkward silence. "So, Serena, what brings you tot the US? I don't know your accent." Lance rolled his eyes. "Jennie, she's Japanese. Didn't I just come from Japan?" Jennie blinked. "Really? But she has blond hair and blue eyes!" Serena laughed delightedly at her confused expression. She took pity on her. "It's unusual, but don't you have all kinds of hair colors in the US?" Jennie nodded. "Sorry, I'm just curious, and I say things before I think about it. It usually causes a lot of problems for me. So, what brings you here?" Serena fidgeted, and to her relief, she didn't have to answer the question, because Lisa chose that moment to come back in the room with a platter of finger sandwiches. Her mouth began to water. They looked really good. She grabbed a handful as soon as Lisa sat the plate down on the coffee table, and shoved them in her mouth. Everyone watched in amazement. Lance hid a smile. Tommy said softly, in a voice laced with awe, "Do you always eat like that?" She turned red with embarrassment. "Um, yes. I'm a very hungry girl. @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Darien ran into the temple. "I'm here!" Raye looked at him with amusement. "I never would have guessed, even though you're right in front of us and all." Darien frowned at her, then smiled at the rest of the girls, or tried to, with worry fro Serena on his mind, it was only half a smile. Only the inner scouts were there f course, because the outers had all gone away. Susan was a designer in New York, she had left a year before. Heather, Alex and Michelle were on a world-wide tour. Michelle played her violin, Alex Raced, and Heather cheered them both on. "What have you done to find her?" Luna shook her head. "Everything we could. Amy called her house. Irene found the note, and called the police. The police can't do anything, because Serena left a note telling them what's going on, so she hasn't been kidnapped, and she's not missing, because she left the note, also. Finally, she's old enough to make her own decisions, so they only put a notice out that her parents are looking for her. I checked the airport first, before I even told anyone she was gone. She had been there, I could sense her, but she was long gone. I can't tell what plane she took, and after Amy hacked into the flight records, we know that if she got a ticket, she didn't buy it under her own name, so we've got nothing on that. We know she's not here, but that could mean she's anywhere in the world." Darien's face fell. "I never should have broken up with her. I love her, I always will. I just felt that I was smothering her. I thought I needed a break. It just came out wrong." He held his head in his hands, after sitting down. "I'm so stupid. I knew she was upset. I knew she wouldn't want a break. I was just afraid of commitment. I'm a fool. She'll probably never come back." Mina was the only to comfort him. "It's all right. She'll come back, I know it. She's to close to this city. She loves it here." @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@ Serena looked out the large bay window, a quizzical expression on her face. She smiled suddenly, forcing all her memories away. She was going to forget about her life before. It was to painful. She was in the Miller's house, looking out the window in her room. It was a huge window, for a bedroom, and it was right above her bed. She smiled as she took in the beautiful view. "I love it here." She smiled wider. "I love it here." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of Part Two --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, that's it!!!!
