Adam Allgood pianodrums@aol.com I have noticed that other authors post disclaimers before their stories. Here's one. Sailor Moon, and all related characters belong to Naoko Takeuchi and Kodansha, Bandai, Dic, etc. Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry, and all of it's related characters belong to Paramount Pictures. Any other characters were created by me. Star Trek: Sailor Moon Mutual Dilemma Chapter 10 Commander Riker leveled his phaser, pointing it towards Roshalon's chest. "I'm sorry. I just cannot let you do this." He fired. The phaser emitted a blinding bright red beam. It closed the distance between the commander and Roshalon in nanoseconds. The beam created a cracking noise as it superheated the air surrounding it. It tore through the distance along its linear path that led toward Roshalon's heart. It never arrived. A green electromagnetic field appeared in front of Roshalon; blocking the phaser beam. Roshalon spoke alone once again. "Haven't you realized that we are unstoppable? We are your link to the Borg. We will assist you in your transition." Riker pointed his phaser at an advancing Borg. "I have a transition for you." He fired, and the Borg went down. Immediately after this, the other Starfleet officers laid down a barrage of phaser fire. The advancing soldiers were cut down like grass, their severed life-tubes spewing plasma into the air. The soldiers behind their fallen comrades immediately stepped forward. More phaser fire greeted them. "Sparkling Wide Pressure!" The advancing Borg provoked the scouts into combat. Lightning arcked across the street, destroying several Borg units. They were immediately replaced by others moving behind them. The chances of victory were quite small. "Fire soul!" Sailor Mars unleashed a fireball into the heart of the advancing soldiers. This unnerved many of the Starfleet security personnel. They were unused to the unusual weaponry that the Scouts possessed. However, they continued to fire their meek phaser beams into the blasted Borg. Worf and Riker moved together and started to whisper. Riker tapped his communicator, and began to speak into it. Immediately, the overhead shuttlecraft moved above the fray. "Everyone retreat!" called out Riker. Sailors Mars and Jupiter leapt onto the roofs of the nearby buildings. Starfleet officers cut paths through the sea of Borg that led to the fire escapes. Worf drew his bat'leth, and, grabbing his commander's arm, sliced his own path. The sidewalks were drenched with fluid spilled from tubing on the Borg units. Roshalon and the female continued to stand side by side. Sailors Mercury and Venus rushed forward towards the limp form of Sailor Moon. They both knelt down beside their unconscious friend. Mercury slipped her arms under Sailor Moon's at the same time Venus slipped her arms under Sailor Moon's knees. They lifted her up, and turned to run. "We need a path!" cried Sailor Mercury. Sailor Moon groaned and began to stir. Phaser fire from above suddenly decimated the advancing Borg in front of the trapped scouts. They ran, with Sailor Moon in their arms, into the opening. When they neared the tall office building, they leapt upward, onto the roof. Once the five scouts were reunited, Venus and Mercury laid their leader onto the ground. She moaned again and opened her eyes. From the expression on her face, one might assume that she had expected to see a Borg soldier, but her facial expression softened when she saw her friends. Mina leaned down to embrace her friend. "I thought you were toast!" whispered Venus into Sailor Moon's ear. "I know, me too!" she replied. The reunion was cut short when the platoon of Starfleet security officers reached the roof. As they watched the hovering shuttlecraft in curiosity, the voice of Roshalon floated upwards into the sky. "There is no escape from us! We will be victorious!" The sound of heavy metallic footsteps rang out. The bars on the fire escape ladder began to vibrate. The Borg were climbing! Commander Riker stood unafraid. He pointed his phaser at the stairwell and fired. The entire structure collapsed, taking the climbing soldiers out. "Riker to Onizuki...... now!" The shuttlecraft moved lower. The scouts could hear its engines vibrate as it descended. The voice of Roshalon continued. "Relieve yourselves from needless suffering. Surrender to us now, so that we will not be required to force you to." A whine began to sound over the engines of the shuttle. A red glow formed on its underside. Suddenly, a bright red phaser beam lanced out from the ship. It collided with the ground, creating a tremendous roar. Borg units were vaporized in a large fireball that engulfed the entire street. The pavement was melted away, leaving the rapidly blackening soil that also gave way to a giant pit. The phaser beam terminated. Serena cried out, and attempted to stand. She was restrained by the other Sailors. They tearfully watched the course of the shuttle. The Onizuki turned in a parabolic curve, and made its way towards another section of the city. Suddenly, a large object appeared in the sky. It took on the appearance of a green star, falling to Earth. Sailor Venus gasped. "It's another bomb!" The object continued to fall until something blocked its path; the shuttle. In a sudden deafening pop, the craft was reduced to burning debris that fell to the ground. Everyone was speechless. The shock that followed allowed everyone to hear the sounds of battle rising up from the city. The Borg were all over Tokyo! Captain Picard slammed his fist onto his chair panel. It always hurt him when members of his crew were killed. Everyone was concentrating on the ground battle, so the Borg sphere was ignored. Picard cursed his stupidity. He should have remembered that the Borg sphere was still in orbit; even though the Enterprise had landed on a small island off the coast of Japan. Suddenly, an idea struck him. The Borg wanted the crew to forget about the sphere! That was unusual. With that sphere, the Borg should have enough power to obliterate the Enterprise. Why, then, was the sphere out of the action? Of course! Thought Picard. The Borg have concentrated their collective powers onto the planet! That sphere is weakened! "Ensign, load the torpedo bays." Picard stood up as excitement gripped him. "Sir, May I ask, why sir?" The ensign turned in his seat and offered a puzzled look. The captain looked at the young man sternly. "Ensign, you have your orders, now carry them out!" Captain Picard softened his voice dramatically as the helmsman complied. "I intend to destroy the Borg ship." "We have enough power, sir?" "Yes! All of their energy is concentrated on the planet, so only a couple of quantoms should be necessary." "Aye sir!" The ensign began to load the torpedo bays with quantom warheads. His fingers glided quickly over the panel. "Torpedo bays loaded, sir." "Lock torpedoes on the Borg sphere as it comes overhead." "Aye sir!" The ensign peered into his display screen. "Borg entering range, quantom torpedoes locked on target." The captain returned to his command chair. "Fire!" Blue spheres erupted from orifices on the hull of the Enterprise. They traveled up through the stratosphere, mesosphere, and punched through the ionosphere. "Impact in three, two, one...impact!" The ensign shouted joyfully. Picard clenched his fist in tense excitement. "Viewer on!" The ensign activated the viewscreen. It displayed the image of a great fireball. Pieces of the sphere were thrown into the atmosphere, burning up upon entry. "Got 'em!" cried the ensign. He suddenly looked abashed, self conscious of his sudden paroxysm. "Sorry, sir." Picard smiled. "That's quite all right, ensign. In fact, that's definitely in order! Yesss!" The captain shook his fist in victory. "Woo hoo!" He jumped up. The ensign laughed. The scouts looked up from the roof. There was an explosion in the sky. Debris was exploding in the atmosphere. Riker squinted his eyes. "It's the Borg ship!" He cried out in joy. The scouts, excluding Sailor Moon, cheered. "Is it over?" Asked Sailor Mars. "Not quite." The voice was cold. It surprised the scouts. They whirled around to see Roshalon standing alone on the roof. "You might as well surrender. We now control this city."
