"Serena!" Darien cried in horror over and over again as she screamed
in agony as she was struck by the blast. Darien laid there and
watched helplessly as his true love screamed. Her screams pierced
his heart and he couldn't bear to look at her. Serena began collapsed
to the floor and Darien caught her.

"Serena!" he gently cried to her.

Serena's sky blue eyes opened wearily and looked into Darien's
deep blue eyes she managed to whisper, "Darien..."

"Serena! It will be all right! Don't worry you'll be all right!" Darien
stammered
as Serena seemed to drift away from him.

"No... I won't" Serena whispered weakly

"NO!" Darien cried

"I can't...

"You must!" he urged.

"I love you Darien... and I always will... I'll watch over you ...
and always protect you... I promise... Darien..." Serena whispered.
She lifted her head slowly and gave Darien a beautiful and gentle kiss.
Then her sky blue eyes closed and her breathing stopped.

"Serena! Serena! SERENA!" Darien howled as his eyes flooded with
tears and clutched his true love's dead body.

All the Sailor Scouts began to cry and tried to comfort Darien the
best they could.

"I'm so sorry Darien," Sailor Pluto murmured as she placed her
hand on his shoulder.

"She was my only love..." he whispered

"We know" Raye said.

"I should have told her more often how much I loved her..." Darien sobbed.

"She knew how much you loved her" Lita consoled.

"But I should have..." he murmured again.

"We are so sorry..." Sailor Saturn said.

Then they found themselves back at Raye's temple. It was a bright beautiful
morning yet there was no happiness in the Scouts' hearts. Darien was shocked
to see Serena's body had disappeared but he cried for her even more.

"I should have stayed by her... I could have protected her and none of this
would have ever happened..." he began again.

"There's nothing you could have done about!" Rini cried

"Thanks Rini," Darien muttered then suddenly his head jolted up
and stared at Rini in confusion.

"What?" Rini asked equally confused.

"Rini! Rini! How could you be here?" Darien yelled in shock

"Huh?" Rini asked then her eyes widened in realization.

Then all the Scouts seemed to realize what Darien meant.

"If Rini is still here..." Amy began

"Than that means..." continued Mina.

"Serena is still alive!" exclaimed Darien
