AllyM25@aol.com AN: Hey minna-chan! I thought I would take a break from A New Arrival since it isn't getting much credit.. Well I hope this one is better!! And REMEMBER, I just love comments!!!!!! Notice: I don't own Sailormoon; don't sue me. 'Nuff said. ^_^ Rated: G Another Notice: Read these stories by some of my fav. authors: Sailormoon Emotions by Shikami Yamino, Royal Flush by Alicia Blade, First Truths by Lilac Summers, Within You by Lady Starra, and Prom Night-A Night to Remember by VenusLove. They are all very talented writers! ::claps for them:: Now on with the story! Pain Under Beauty Usagi examined her newly afflicted hand. 'It's amazing... After all these battles I would have at least be able to withdraw some of the pain or something.' Her mind raced for some sort of explanation yet by the time she could think of anything obliging her teammates surrounded her. "Way to fry that sucker Usagi-chan," Jupiter cried. "You certainly are becoming a phenomenal leader!" Sailormoon grinned proudly. Forget the pointless wound, compliments can mend anything. This time the rabbit had something to be proud of: she finished the youma in an incredible time, but not just that, Usagi was all by herself; the other Senshi just arrived. The Senshi of Ice looked at her leader. 'Outstanding,' she thought. 'Usagi is becoming more and more like her destined self. Who would have thought?' Sailormoon turned her back from her friends and quickly put her glove back on. If they saw she gets wounded every time Sailormoon finishes a youma, they would go berserk. Usagi could see it now: "You can't fight if you are hurt," Luna would scold her for being careless. "Where has your mind been all this time? Baka!" "Odango Atama, what are we going to do with you?" Rei would just mock her about being head of the group. Just like her respective talent, Mars had a fiery temper. Ami would be more drawn back, more sullen. "Usagi... why didn't you tell us you got hurt every time you attacked?" Her eyes would flicker between concern and fear. Poor Ami, she was one of the more emotional warrior of the entire group. Then Makoto's protectiveness would kick in. "Why?" was all she would say. Ironic actually. One word could describe every feeling Jupiter would experience. Why? It is a small word yet very dangerous. It's unexplainable actually. Minako would probably be the only one to defend Usagi. "She has a mind of her own guys. The wound most not inflict that much pain; otherwise she wouldn't be fighting youmas day after day. Just leave her alone." 'Yes, that wouldn't be good,' Usagi thought as she made sure nobody could tell that she *was* in pain; nobody. They needed to worry about other things; not fret over her silly, minor, barely noticeable wound. And besides, what wound of hers hasn't healed before? Exactly. Sailormoon sighed. "I'm tired guys; in addition, we have school tomorrow. Lets go home, *please.*" She always pushed everybody to head home after a battle. That way nobody could ask her any details or questions about herself; Usagi knew she couldn't bring herself down to tell a lie about her health. She wouldn't forgive herself and neither would the gang. The friends said their good-byes and headed back home for a new day. *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* Ikuko smiled down on her daughter and laid a hand over her forehead. Usagi stirred slightly at the touch but didn't wake. Ikuko smile grew even wider when she knew the information to tell Usagi when she woke. "Usagi," the rabbit's mom said in a gentle voice only a mother would have. "It's time to get up Usagi-chan." Usagi slowly opened her eyes into a bright room. She had to shield her eyes from the penetrating sunlight that burned her the very core of her eyes. Her mother frowned a bit. "Usagi, daijobu?" "Huh? Oh, I'm okay. Hai, I got my beauty rest." She forced a slight giggle to show that this was the Usagi that her mother knew. "Okay. Are you sure your all right though? You may stay home if you have no tests today." Her mother's hand returned to Usagi's forehead to see if she had the slightest temperature. Usagi sighed. "Arigato momma, but I have two tests today." The future queen groaned. 'Why me? I don't ask for two fights last night. God, I can't keep this up... I'm always to exhausted to go on with the day.' Tsukino Ikuko knew something was wrong with her daughter. It all depends if she can pry it out. "Usagi..." The odango-headed girl gulped. Her mom never used this tone of voice unless she wants something. "Usagi, your hiding something from me? Well spit it out." Stamping her foot, Ikuko put on a annoyed look. Usagi eyed her feline friend out of the corner of her eye nervously. 'What am I suppose to say? I'm tired of lying... So tired of making excuses for the bruises and rings under my eyes............... Why can't I just be a normal teenager!?!' Tears sprouted from the girl as she tried to tell her mom the story. "Am I suppose to believe that?" Ikuko asked. "Studying till two o'clock? USAGI...." "Gomen.. I was just trying to see if you thought I was joking..... Obviously you know me better than I thought." she tried to tease her mom, showing that she didn't have to stay up till four in order to protect Tokyo's citizens' peace. Her mother was getting frustrated. "You *are* my daughter; I would think I knew you better than the back of my own hand." Usagi's rabbit alarm clock went off. 'Saved! Thank you!' "Gotta go mom. Can't be late for school!" And with that, Usagi dressed, ate, and grabbed her school items as if the house was on fire. It took a few minutes after Usagi dashed out of her house for Ikuko to come around. She blinked several times and then laughed feverishly. "Kenji-hun! Something is up with our daughter and I'm *going* to find out!" A throaty laughter could be heard downstairs. "Only in a million years dear!" Tsukino Kenji called back. Ikuko wailed in her daughter's room. "I even forgot to tell her I made her a special lunch!" *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* Usagi was in a rotten mood after she finished detention. Nothing was going her way today. NOTHING. "Odango Atama! What a *pleasant* surprise!" Chiba Mamoru hurried up to his odango-head girl. To almost every girl this would be a fantasy: a college hunk messing around with you till no ends. Of course Usagi is not almost every girl. The blond clenched her teeth to keep her back from saying anything to rotten. All she did was ask, "What do you want Chiba?" She meant it to sound ugly, and it certainly did. Fear mixed with concern in Mamoru's eyes. This wasn't like her. She should be sticking her tongue out at him saying, "My name is Usagi. U-S- A-G-I. Usagi: one word. Odango Atama: two words. Your suppose to be in college Mamoru-san, so please tell me you don't get it." Of course this is what she said, but Mamoru wouldn't know how she felt under. He wouldn't know that she had all her memories and he hadn't a clue. This certainly wouldn't brighten Usagi's already God forsaken day. "Daijobu?" asked Mamoru in a soft voice. And for a split second two sky blue eyes became misty when staring into an deep ocean blue, but only to become hard again. This scared Mamoru. Something was defiantly wrong with his Usagi. "Can't you see I'm not in the mood Mamoru! Just leave me alone!!" Usagi was on her feet running, but not without a quick Mamoru on her heels. *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* End of part one. Hoped you like reading all 1216 words! hehehe.. I know you did! Peace, Allison ^ ~ "God Bless You All."
