Title: The Holiday Spirit Chapter Lita Author: Amazingirl E-mail: AmazLngirl@aol.com Rating: PG Hey guys! I hope that you like the first two stories. I had always thought that it wasn't fair for Serena to be the Moon Princess, Sailor Moon, Neo Queen Serenity, and have a protector. (Just thought I'd tell you where in the world I was coming from). By the way please don't get mad at me for not following the regular SM story line, and please Enjoy! All Disclaimers apply, these ain't my characters I'm just borrowing them for a while. The Cherry Hill Temple had become a little cramped with all the new members appearing, so they decided to go to the park instead. It was a beautiful day for February nice and warm, and Lita had brought a picnic basket full of her excellent cuisine, and they had all settled down in the warm grass to chow down. "You know I was thinking, and umm?" Lita began feeling a little foolish, but knowing that her cause was important. "It seems that everyone here has a protector except for me and Mina here, and I was just wondering if you thought that well? we would get one soon." She finished looking at the happy couples almost bursting with love for each other. "You know I think that Lita is definitely right." Amy spoke up. "We all have protectors it's just that you have to find them." "Exactly," Ray said looking directly at Chad. "Your true love could be right under your nose and you'd never even know." She finished the sentence with a kiss and Lita could feel her blood almost boil. 'Why can't I have a boyfriend just for Valentines day? Some one who would make them jealous of me?' Lita thought, she felt a little guilty afterwards, but she wanted to act all lovey-dovey too! "We have to get down to business you guys!" Artimas said looking around to see if anyone was actually watching him. "Yes," Luna agreed, "we know that there are two more scouts out there, and we must find them. Beryl is getting too powerful for us to defeat her ourselves. We need as much help as we can get." Mina and Lita just looked at the ground, they had to find them! Night had finally fallen, and the park was now almost completely empty. Lita was lugging the heavy basket back to her apartment when some rustling in the bushes made her jump, and she dropped everything onto the ground! After seeing that it was only a squirrel and healing her wounded ego she started to pick up the dishes and leftover food that scattered the ground. She started swearing lightly under her breath, scolding herself for being so jumpy. Just as she was picking up the deviled eggs, a second pair of hands started to help her. Lita slowly looked up, and saw into the eyes of a gorgeous guy. "Thanks, but you don't have to help," Lita stuttered thinking how great it was that there was still some humanity left in the world. "That's ok, I'm not in any hurry." The stranger said. After everything was picked up, and put neatly away, Lita definitely wanted to know more about this mysterious stranger. "So what did you say your name was?" Lita asked. "Actually I didn't say, but it's Ken," he said. "Really, that's funny?" Lita started, but then suddenly stopped. "Oh, I'm sorry my names Lita. This might be a little forward, but would you like to come over for a bite of pie?" She asked, hoping that he didn't have a girlfriend. "I would love to, but how do you know that I'm not a sleaze-ball?" Ken asked. "Trust me," Lita replied. "I can take care of myself." Afterwards she thought about the irony of the statement. "Well then lets go." The evening was one truly out of a story book. Once they were home Lita took a pie she had made earlier, and heated it up in the oven. (A microwave would totally destroy the home baked crust). She made two Caramel Macchiattos (Starbucks and they are really, really yummy incase you were wondering.) They sat in the cozy couch, and a fire was lit, making the room dance in the flames. "I just met him, but I think that I'm falling in love." Lita thought. "How could I be so stupid?" her thoughts suddenly ended as she looked into Ken's dark brown eyes. Oh my gosh, he was so fine! His jaw was strong and well defined, and he was very, very muscular. His hair was brown, parted in the middle, and combed with gel. He was actually taller then Lita that was very unusually, but she loved it. Ken was looking right back into Lita's eyes, and she was thinking how much he would love to take her in his arms, and kiss her, but no, Lita was too good for that. She was like an aged wine, and could not be taken in one great big gulp. Besides, he wanted to be old-fashioned, it fit everything else that had happened that night. After a few moments of the very comfortable silence, Ken made his way to the door. "I have to see you again Lita." He said once he reached his destination. "Meet me at the park tomorrow, around 10." He said, and then walked into the darkness of the hall, looking like Humphery Bogart in an old black and white film. Lita spent the rest of the night dreaming about what tomorrow would hold. For Lita 10 could not come fast enough. She sat at the breakfast table eating about everything that she could think of to make. Today was Valentines, and the gods worked in very strange ways. Finally she was forced to stop, her stomach was about to burst, and she had to make sure she looked absolutely perfect. Ken walked to the park as fast as he could, the cold weather was back in the city, and his breath showed in the crisp morning air. It had been so magical last night. he had never felt a connection that strong with anyone, he was not going to let her get away not after what? "Ken!" a voice came interrupting his thoughts. He turned around looking into her eyes. 'God, she's beautiful' he thought as Lita came towards him. "Hey! Fancy meeting a girl like you in a place like this." He said flashing her a gorgeous smile that made her knees weak. "Hey yourself," she replied. She quickly caught up with him, and to her surprise he wrapped an arm around her. She relished the feeling, wondering at how perfectly her body molded into his. "So," he said giving her shoulder in a playful way. "What do you want to do today?" He laughed at the ending knowing exactly what Lita was going to say. "I thought that you were going to decided." "Well You see you just get a choice," he said. "Do you want to go boating, or to the arcade, or talk in a quiet caf鬠or to the movies, or we could just make out under the tree where we met?" the last statement was met with a playful slap. "I've got an idea?" Lita said, "follow me." Ken wrapped his arm around Lita again, and they started to walk out of the park, Lita telling the way. They had finally made it! "Gold's Gym?" Ken asked a little amazed that Lita would spend any of her time here. (Although when looking at her he had to admit she had a great body.) "Hey Tony!" Lita greeted the man behind the front desk. "Go right it ma'am," he said if you want anything just call. To Ken's surprise Lita walked into the door marked VIP lounge, and he followed obediently. As they walked through the doors the sound of a tropical rain forest surrounded them, the air was thick and misty, and plants lined the walls. "Feel like a friendly spar?" Lita asked Ken. After a nod from the other followed by a knowing smile Ken headed toward the men's changing room. Ken was a little stunned, Lita lived in a moderate apartment that was nice, but nowhere near what a VIP would live in. At this time he didn't know that Lita's parents had died when she was 15, and left her a large fortune. She didn't like the fabulous life the her two rock-star, Hollywood parents lived, and quickly changed her way of life. The only connection that she had left behind was the membership to the gym, she loved the royal look and excellent training that she got here. Lita stepped out of the locker room and into the sparring room, that had the traditional paneling, and lighting. She loved it here. Ken stepped out presently and god did he look good. The loose white pants hung around his waist, and he wasn't wearing a shirt, which really accented his rounded muscles, and tanned skin. Lita had to stop herself from fainting, as their eyes met across the room. Lita didn't look that bad herself. In a traditional karate robes, that had shortened sleeves, and a black belt wrapped around her small waist closing the baggy shirt. "Shall we?" Ken asked braking the intense gaze. "Of course," Lita answered. The match begun, and both circled around looking for the open spot in the other's defense. Ken made the first move putting a high kick toward her face, but she was too quick and smoothly blocked it knocking Ken to the ground. Ken swiftly bounded back up, and waited for Lita's assault. It came faster then he had expected, coming as a quick blow to the stomach, which sent them both to hurtling toward the padded floor. Lita landed on top of Ken knocking the air out of both of them. As Lita caught her breath Ken looked Adoringly into her eyes. He lifted his head slightly, just as she lowered hers, and their lips met in a passionate kiss. Finally it ended, and Lita gazed into her loves eyes. "I've found him," she thought. "Happy valentines day!" She lowered her head to indulge herself in another kiss. *********************************************************** Hey guys! I hope that this makes up for kinda iffy story about Amy.
