Different
Part 5

It was early morning in Morioko. Sebastian was on his way to the
hospital. Each day was the same as previous. Working hard till
midnight. Returning home only to sleep till it was time to go
back to the hospital again.  He was used to it. He was only 24.
An excellent student and a good perspective doctor. But somehow
his life was empty.

Something was missing. His parents were living in other town and
he saw them only few times a year. He was the only child
and he always wished to have a sister or a brother. A person
who he can share his thoughts and dreams with.
Someone to protect and someone to relay on. But his parents had
troubles to raise even one child, so having another one - no,
that was out of the question. They were yelling at him everyday,
grounding him for every little mistake. When he graduated the
college he was happy to move to another town. Finally he was free.
But still he was lonely.

His friends were always telling him to go out more, to meet
girls, to have some fun and forget about that hospital and
parents. But it was soo boring for Seb to sit somewhere in
the smoked club and talk about nothing for hours. 'I guess
I?ll stay alone for the rest of my days' Seb thought walking
through the park.

It was his usual trip through the park. He knew each corner,
tree and bushes. He enjoyed spending time here after the
tireful day. Watching the trees and the lake and the flowers.
It always brought peace to his soul.

A strange sound made Seb stop. It was like a human?s moan.
Nope.. silence. 'I begin to hear things' Seb grinned to himself.
He was still unsure if it was his imagination or not,
when he noticed something strange few meters away from the road.
'Something white.. a man? That early? that?s weird...  maybe
some drunk?' Thinking like that Seb approached the strange
white object. Looking closer he gasped from what he saw.

On the ground was laying a girl in white cloths. First he
thought she was sleeping, but then he noticed that she was
not breathing. He touched her wrist and neck to check for the
pulse. It was there, but very weak. Taking his hand away from
girl's wrist he felt something strange. Looking down at his hand
he almost screamed. His hand was drenched in blood. Only then
he saw that on the white cloth there were bloodstains.  This
girl was hurt badly. 'I need to get her to the hospital.'

Voices...  She was still too weak to open her eyes. Laying on
something soft and warm she heard someone talking. She didn?t
cared what they were talking about. For the first time she didn?t
feel any pain. Though she felt her back aching still, she?s never
felt better. She relaxed and tried to remember what had happened
to her before she discovered herself in this warm and
comfortable bed.

## Flashback ##

She was still in the cell lying on the floor. Himur has just
left her bleeding and beaten again. He was never as angry and mad
as the last few times he?d visited her. Some time ago he decided to
find out everything about her friends afterall. Or maybe he just
enjoyed playing with her? He expected her to give up her friends a
long time ago. But she was stubborn. It took a long time for Himur
to make her cry and plead to stop torturing her like that. But the
only answer she received was to forget her earth life and stay with
him willingly. She refused. She glared up at him with hate in
her eyes, but refused. That made Himur really mad. After that every
day was a nightmare in the worst meaning of it.

Sometimes Usagi wished Himur would get so mad that he eventually
would kill her. But he was much cleverer than that. One day he told
her, that he could easily brainwash her and even use her against the
senshi. But much more than that he enjoyed watching her suffer like
that, alone, forgotten by everyone. The knowledge that she was going
to stay with him forever was enough for him.

Usagi never felt so weak before. Even the day Himur had taken the
crystal. The Imperium Silver Crystal, the Ginzuishou entrusted to
her by Moon Queen. A single tear escaped from her eye. Thank God,
Pluto was there with her. If it wasn?t for her, she would be insane
for now. Pluto visited her few other times. Not too often, but even
a thought that somewhere there was a person who cared for her, was
enough. Each time Pluto started the same talk about telling the
senshi, but Usagi stopped her. She was not worth it, she thought
sadly. 'They can live peacefully now,' she tried to convince herself
fighting the tears.

?Maybe today I?ll finally die? Usagi felt as strength was leaving her.
Finally there would be no pain, no tears, no nightmares. She welcomed
the strange feeling of peace. Strange warm energy appeared in the
cell. Usagi looked up and saw some shining thing in the air in front
of her. She made an effort to reach it with her hand. Surprisingly
the object moved to her itself and she felt something slid on her
middle finger on the right hand.

Strange and forgotten feeling of comfort was pulsating in her body.
?Home... I want to get away from here? was the only wish in Usagi?s
mind. She closed her eyes and let the strange power take her from
the cell.

## End of flashback ##

She finally managed to open her eyes. Someone was standing near her
bed. A man... A fear rose in her, but his soft voice made her calm
down. "Hello, sleeping beauty.. How do you feel?" The doctor tried
to sound optimistic, though his eyes showed worry and sorrow for
that girl. She was unconscious for three days now. No one knew who
and where from she was. It was as she appeared in this
town from nowhere.

"Where I .. where am I?" she managed to ask.

"You are in Morioko Central Hospital. My name is Alexander Maren,
but everyone here call me Alex." Usagi sighed with relieve ?Good,
at least I am in Japan. But....?

"What day it is today?" she knew that was the strange question and
she was already afraid of the answer she would receive.

Doctor was surprised, but he tried to hide it and told her the day
and the month. 14 of September "The year, I mean what year it..."
she stopped, watching doc?s eyebrow raised in surprise. ?Maybe she has
some kind of amnesia. The main thing is not to frighten her now.?
He looked at her suspiciously, but told her the year.

Usagi paled. ?It can?t be. Oh, God, no. I was there 3 years 2 months
and... and 14 days. It can?t be true!? Though it was true. She saw
it in doctor?s eyes, he wouldn't joke with such things.
He looked very worried now.

"You were found without any documents. What is your name? Where are
you from? What happened to you?" The doctor was asking these simple
questions as Usagi?s mind was working quickly. ?I can?t tell him my
real name, he will probably contact the police and there will be too
much questions. I.... I need time. I don?t want anyone to know.
Not now.? She realised that doctor was waiting for an answer.

"I want to rest now..." she looked at him pleadingly. ?Please leave
me alone now!? she asked silently. 'Please!'

"Alright... Have some sleep now. After the blood transfusion you need
some good sleep. I?ll talk with you later." Saying that he left her
alone with her thoughts.

Closing the door he shook his head. ?Really strange girl. After Seb
had brought her here, I thought she?d never make it. I never saw
anyone with so terrible wounds. It looks like someone tortured her
for weeks. And that strange question about the year? He remembered
her pale face when she heard the answer. ?Better wait till Seb will
return from this conference in Tokyo. At least I can talk to him
about it.?

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of emergency. Few nurses
explained him in a hurry something about a woman with serious
injuries. ?Well.. what do you expect?? he ask himself ?it is your
work, better hurry, a new patient is waiting.? He was one of the
best surgeon in this hospital, all responsibility was on him and
Sebastian. But Seb was away now, so... He quickened on his way
to the surgery room.

Seb was on his way back to Morioko. The conference was very
interesting, but this time it was difficult to concentrate on
these medical topics. All his thoughts were in the Morioko hospital
where that strange girl was laying now. ?How is she now? I don?t
even know is she is alive now. Maybe.. no, please let her live...?
It was strange for him to think that way. He was a doctor. He had
to get used to the death of his patients. ?No, I'll never get used
to that! I want her to live. I ...? He shook his head, ?better calm
down, in few hours you?ll know everything? he tried to convince
himself.

He remembered how he?d taken that wounded girl to the hospital.
After Alex and he made some analyses, it became clear that she
suffered from a great loss of blood. Her condition was so dangerous,
that it was strange she was still alive. She had a rare type of
blood and they hadn?t had it in the hospital. There was always
problem with that. When Seb suggested himself to help, Alex said
he was crazy. "Do you understand that you need to be tomorrow
in Tokyo?" he yelled at him trying to change his mind. But Seb
felt strange about that girl from the first time he touched her.
It was like he was chosen to help her, to protect her. He never
had had that feeling before.

During all operation he felt strange vibes. It was like something
was knocking to his memory, demanding him to remember. Every time
he went to sleep after that, he remembered this pale face, fragile
features. And all these dreams about strange kingdom during the
nights... ?I am becoming paranoid. I should talk to some psychiatrist
in our hospital? he chuckled. In few hours he?d be home. For the
first time he felt he was happy returning home.

Well... Three parts this week :) Are you happy? ^_^;
Do you want to know what will happen next? Well.. everything now
depends on... not me, not even you, but one good girl named Katelyn
(or Sailor Alderaan). She is helping me with checking my mistekes
(Thanx again, dear ^^), but.. you know, she is busy. I don't
blame her. I KNOW what 'busy' means! But... I am preparing you
for waiting longer than one week. Please, don't be upset, oki?
I wrote a lot already, and it is getting more personal with each
page. So I am going to finish it for sure.

Btw, happy easter to everyone, in case I won't post anything
next week!!! ^^)
