A Star in the Distance - Part 5 By: AntCyc2 and Usagi Chiba Rated: G -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Malachite barely flinched as the mass of attacks passed through him, the same evil look in his eye, and the same evil smile on his face. Laughing, he said, "You Sailor fools are too weak....you don't stand a chance against me!" His eyes flared and he hurled his energy sphere down towards the ground, still laughing madly and chanting his incantation under his breath. In the seconds that it took for the sailor scouts to realize the oncoming danger, they held hands, their planet insignias lighting upon each of their foreheads, colorful auras enfolding each. The mass of power continued to near, dangerously close to the ground, a deathly loud noise already beginning to occur in their ears. All of a sudden, five bright auras of energy flashed above the earth, colliding into Malachite's attack. The crash took place, an earthshattering sound, weakening only the five protecting scouts. "What?!" Malachite questioned, his eyes widening and fright starting to take it's place within him. Were the Sailor Scouts really this powerful? Was it possible? He dismissed these unpleasant matters and continued his persistent effort. "Zoi...give me your strength...I *will* defeat them...no matter what!" He thought, then aloud, he yelled, "Sailor Moon, you're history!" After his little "pep talk", Malachite could almost feel the lent energy running through him, and he felt completely refreshed, capable of doing anything. Still hovering high in the sky, his wicked laugh rang through the entire city. Looking back at the Sailor Scouts, he saw that they were already preparing their attacks and charging, Sailor Moon covering their backs. "Hmmm...this is my chance." He thought, heaving a big sigh and then with all his might, throwing his two, purple beams, with dead shot aim at Sailor Moon. Serena barely realized what was happening until her view was blurred with purple, and she felt searing pain throughout her body. Instantly, she knelt, doubled over in pain. In the next moment, Malachite made his final move, another strong blast of energy. In a second, Serena's eyes widened, but she was unable to move, frozen on the spot. She could feel all of her memories flashing through her eyes, her life passing through an instant, barely noticing the black blur in front of her... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What did you think?
