[Japanese one week, German the next. What's it gonna be next time? Polish!?] Here is the next part! Aren't you proud of me? =================================================================== ---------------Soulmate Express by Aquamarine Angel---------------- =================================================================== ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Part One ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Usagi leaned back in her seat. She was on a plane ride to her new life. No more being Sailor Moon. No more putting up with Luna's constant nagging. No more fighting with Rei. No more dealing that meddling little brat, Chibi-Usa. No more Mamoru. Usagi had never felt so free in her entire life! When she had first arranged this trip to the United States, she had been a little afraid of the experiences that were to come in the near future. Fear of the unknown, you might call it. After a few days, though, the initial fear faded away and all that remained was excitement and nervousness. She couldn't wait to get to America! All the new foods, new sounds, new everything made her heart pound with anticipation. This was a chance to make a new start for herself. She hadn't exactly lied to Miss Haruna about wanting a clean slate. Usagi had the chance to make something of herself and she wasn't going to screw it up! *I'll make everyone proud of me! I'll mold myself into the princess that everyone wants me to be. I won't fail you scouts!* Usagi flinched. The scouts. She hadn't even told them that she was leaving. Not even Luna knew. She'd convinced her parents to sign the permission slip while Luna was out patrolling the area with Artemis. Then she'd made her parents promise not to tell anyone where she'd gone. Ever. If the scouts had noticed her sudden secretiveness, they had put it down as an emotional reaction to the breakup with Mamoru. They had been very considerate, after they found out what had happened, and avoided the subject of Mamoru completely. Usagi was very grateful to them for that and was sorry for leaving them in the dark. She didn't want to hurt them. She merely wanted some time to think things through. She needed to know exactly what it was about the Usagi of the present that disgusted her dear Mamo-chan so much. Until Usagi was sure of what was so horrifying about herself and managed to change it, she had no intention of returning. She had every intention of keeping in touch with her family and friends while she was making her way through high school. She would send postcards so that they couldn't find her exact location. Usagi was absolutely positive that her friends would track her down and drag her back to Tokyo if the could. If they had an address they wouldn't hesitate at the chance to fly to New York after her. *I really am sorry that I'm leaving you all deal with the new enemy. You probably better off without Sailor Moon anyway. I'm a weak and irresponsible leader.* Usagi was directing her thoughts back towards Tokyo. She willed them to understand her point of view. She couldn't help but worry about her inner court. *Mina did well as Sailor V. I'm sure she'll make a great replacement leader.* "Buckle your seat belts, and brace yourself for landing. We have arrived at our destination," a male voice said over a loudspeaker. Usagi quickly adjusted her seat belt and clutched the arms of her seat so hard that her knuckles turned white. *I _hate_ flying!* Ten minutes later Usagi found herself in a very crowded airport searching for a her host family. Just as she was beginning to get worried, she spotted a sign off to the right of her, past baggage, that read TSUKINO USAGI across. A wave of relief swept over her as she made her was toward the person holding the sign. She couldn't see the people with the sign very clearly. It was quite obviously a young man, but his face was hidden behind the sign since he was holding it directly in front of his face. It was easy to tell that the man and woman that were standing beside him were with him since they were standing so close and trying to include him in the conversation. Most likely his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart. Mr. Lockhart was a tall man, in his late thirties. His dark hair complimented his fair complexion on dark green eyes. He looked fairly attractive for someone his age. *He must have been a handsome youth,* Usagi thought. Much like her husband, Mrs. Lockhart was a pretty, dark haired woman. Her eyes, however, were an unusual shade of hazel and she was fairly short. The power behind her gaze more than made up for her lack of height. *These are the people I'll be living with until I graduate from high school. I had better make a good impression... Good thing English was my best subject!* After a moments hesitation, Usagi decided to make her move. "Hello. I am called Usagi. Are you the Lockharts?" she asked timidly. The man and woman nodded. Mr. Lockhart stuck out his hand for a welcoming handshake. Remembering the gesture, Usagi shyly placed her hand in his. "I am Henry Lockhart and this," Mr. Lockhart indicated the lady beside him, "is my wife, Katherine-" "I'm glad you could make it!" Mrs. Lockhart exclaimed. Usagi took an immediate liking to her. *This woman is so friendly. I think I'll like staying under the same roof as her!* "-and our son, Jason," Mr. Lockhart finished. At the mention of their son, Usagi turned her attention toward the young man who had been holding up the sign. She froze in place. She knew him. His handsome facial features, mischievous blue eyes and golden blond hair revealed all. It was none other than Jadeite; the Negaverse fiend! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ END OF PART ONE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Part two is on the way!
