Hello, everyone!

First things first, if you haven't read the REVISED chapter 1, I suggest you
do so now. I changed some of the things, a few, and I think you might want
to read it. But, it isn't absolutely necessary. I suggest it, that's all. 
But, if you're too lazy to reread chapter 1, then let me say the major
changes I made. I decided to use the English names, instead of Japanese, 
which will go with the storyline better. And Serena is twenty, and Darien is
twenty-two. Um, I moved the scene to Crossroads, instead of Tokyo. Darien's
nickname for Serena is Sere, and Serena's nickname for Darien is Darry. I
think that's all!

Anyways, hope you enjoy the chapter!

Oh, wait, also, I'm having a case of writer's block. Anyone have ideas?

He caught her gaze. 'Is that...?'

He could recognize those blue eyes anywhere.

"Darien Young...?" the girl questioned.

His eyes widened. "It IS you!"

"Darien!" The girl gave him a hug.

"Mina!" (AN: HA! Bet you guys thought it was SERENA, didn't ya? HA! A big
clue was that the girl stranger didn't call him "Darry".) Darien hugged her
back. "What a surprise to see you!"

"Likewise!" Mina said. "I didn't know you returned!"

"Oh, I'm just here for the summer." Darien grinned. "What about you?"

"I've been traveling around the world. France, India, China, Austria, Spain,
and it was amazing! I'm going to be starting school this year, though. I
came to visit Andrew, also."

"Me, too." Darien grinned. "So, you saw that Andrew was on the phone, eh?"

"Yeah," Mina sighed. "He looked really excited, so I just thought I'd wait
for him to be done."

Darien looked up. "Which he is now."

Mina turned around, finding Andrew off of the phone. They both quickly rose
from their seats.

"Andrew!" Darien called.

Andrew looked up at the sound of his name (again). He saw Mina and Darien,
then jogged over to them, grinning like a madman.

"Hey, guys, what are you doing here?"

"I'm back!" Mina said, giving him a hug.

"And I have summer vacation." Darien said, giving Andrew a friendly hug. 
"Geez, man, how are you?"

"Fine, fine. My dad left me the place, and it's a great business. And my wife
helps out-"

"Wife?" Mina and Darien broke in.

Andrew sighed, and called to the doors again, "RITA!"

Rita came out, looking slightly disgruntled. "WHAT, Andy? You make it sound
like I'm your slave or something."

"Meet my friends, Mina Freedon, and Darien Young."

They all smiled at eachother.

Rita turned to Andrew. "Andy, I'm going to go back to the kitchens now. If 
you need something, COME to the kitchen and SAY it, OK?"

With that, she turned and entered the kitchen again.

Mina blinked. "Huh?"

Andrew chuckled. "Never mind. So, what can I get ya?" he asked, whipping out
a pad of paper and pen.

"Um, I'm not sure. Darien and I were deciding when we saw you off of the
phone." Mina said.

"Oh, then go look at the menu on the counter." Andrew shot a glance to the
counter, and an amused look came over his face. "Oh, you guys, come here for
a second, there's someone I want you to meet..."

He led them to someone who was on the far right side of the counter. He 
tapped on her shoulder. She turned around.

"Yes, Andrew?"

Andrew pointed at Mina and Darien.

Serena looked at them. And looked again. "Mina?" she croaked.

"SERENA!" Mina shrieked excitedly. She enveloped her in a tight hug. "Oh my
gosh, how are you? We haven't seen eachother for two years! I've missed you
so much! What are you doing here? How is everything? Oh, I've MISSED you!"

Mina released her, and Serena swayed a little, then turned to Darien. They
both felt something jolt inside of them as they looked in eachothers' eyes.
(AN: Corny, but true.)

'Ooh, Darry is even cuter than before.'

'Damn, Serena is hot!'

"Darry...?" she asked in a small voice.

Darien smiled broadly at her. "Sere..."

He hugged her tight. Serena hugged him back, then stepped back to look at 
him. 

"I haven't seen you for four years!" she cried. "Why didn't you keep in touch
with me?"

Darien shrugged. "I tried, but I'm not a letter person."

"Darry..." she hugged him again.

"Sere, why didn't YOU keep in touch with ME?" Darien asked expectantly.

Serena shrugged. "I didn't know your address."

"Oh." Darien said stupidly.

"Oh, Darry, I missed you so much..." She hugged him again.

"I missed you too, Sere. It's been a long time."

"OH!" Mina choked. "Group hug!" She joined the embrace, pulling Andrew with
her.

Darien and Serena laughed, exchanging glances again. When Mina had finally
let them go, Serena asked him, "You here because of summer holiday?"

"Yes. You?"

"Yeah."

"When did you get here?"

"Yesterday. What about you?"

"Yesterday."

Silence. 

"Er..."

"Oh, Sere, would you like to maybe come over for dinner tonight? My mother 
and father would probably love to have you, and your family. We can catch up
on what's happening with eachother."

Serena grinned. "Oh, great! Just like old times!"

Darien shot her a warm smile. Serena suddenly felt faint. "Yeah," Darien
said. "Just like the old times. Oh, hey, do you have any spare time on your
hands right now?"

"Er... No, sorry, I have plans with Sammy, you know-"

"Your brother." Darien supplied.

Serena looked surprised. "You remember."

Darien grinned. "Of course, Sere. How could I forget my best friend?"

Serena blushed. "Well, then, I'll see you later tonight. I'm positive that
Mom, Dad, and Sammy would love to come."

"OK," said Darien. 

"What should we bring?" Serena questioned.

"Oh, no, you don't have to bring anything!"

"No, I insist!"

"Bring... your pretty, little smile."

Serena blushed again, and Darien smiled. "Well, I'll see you all later, 
then." She waved good-bye to everyone, and rushed out the door, so not to be
late with Sammy.

"Bye!" Andrew called cheerfully.

Mina hit Darien hard on the arm.

"Ow! Hey, what was that for?"

Mina gave him a sly look. "Darien, you dog, you... (AN: 102 Dalmations! ^^) 
You've got the hots for Serena!"

Darien's eyes widened, and a faint pink tint came to his face. "Mina, I don't
know what you're talking about!"

"Oh, come ON," Mina said dramatically. "You were flirting with her, pure and
simple!"

"ME?! Flirt with SERE?!" Darien asked incredulously. "You're joking, right?"

"I'm serious! You were flirting!" Mina turned to Andrew. "Wasn't he 
flirting?!"

Andrew crossed his arms, and shrugged. "Well, I don't know much about this 
kind of stuff, but it sure looked like flirting to me."

"What?!" Darien sputtered outrageously. "Not you, too, Andrew!"

Mina snickered.

"Well, for your information, in case you guys have forgotten about our 
history, Sere and I have been friends, and only friends!"

"Oh, really?" Mina said. "Then, you wouldn't mind if I told a friend about 
her. He's looking for a girlfriend."

A spurt of emotion burst inside him, but Darien ignored it and said, "Sure. 
Fine with me. As long as this guy's decent. Sere deserves only the best."

"Mm hmm." Mina said unbelievingly. "Well, at least admit that she was hot."

Darien rolled his eyes. "Oh, brother. I don't have to put up with this." He
turned to leave.

"Denial, denial, denial!" Mina said loudly.

"Whatever."

"So, you don't even think she's pretty?"

"No comment."

"Oh?" Mina said smugly. "I hope I don't accidently let that SLIP OUT, because
a girl's ego is almost as big as guy's ego... And it might hurt her 
feelings..."

At that, Darien threw his hands up in exasperation. "OK, OK, she's hot!"

"Aha!" Mina cried. "I KNEW YOU LIKED HER!"

Muttering to himself, he left quickly.

"BY THE WAY, AREN'T ANDREW AND I INVITED TO DINNER?!" she yelled.

They heard a light "NO!!!". Mina glared at the innocent door, then turned to
find Andrew staring at her.

"What?"

"YOU think Serena and Darien are a good couple also?" Andrew asked.

"I've thought that ever since I knew boys and girls were supposed to go 
together!"

"Hmm... Lit's coming this summer..." Andrew's eyes glinted deviously. "I 
think we have a plan going here..."

"Sammy!" Serena called breathlessly. 

"There you are!" Sammy said. 

"Sorry I'm so late. I went to visit Andrew at the arcade. Guess who else I
ran into? Mina-"

"Oh yeah." Sammy said distractedly. "That cute blonde girl, right? Kind of an
airhead, and a flake."

"Hey, Mina's not an airhead or a flake!" Serena said defensively. "Sheesh, 
too bad Azabu University doesn't teach you manners."

"Well, Azabu's great. I still can't believe you got into Princeton."

"Yeah, I AM the family scholar!"

"Uh huh..."

"Well," Serena said. "I also ran into- you won't believe this, Darien!"

"No, really?" Sammy asked. "I always liked him. You guys are good together."

"Yeah, we are best friends."

Sammy gave her a confused look. "I didn't mean..."

"What?"

"Er- nothing."

"What did you mean?"

"How's the study of clothes designing?" Sammy made a face, changing the
subject.

"GREAT!" Serena said enthusiastically. "It's so fascinating, and I've been 
doing a whole bunch of sketches."

"Mm..."

"So, how's Mika?"

"Er... She's fine." Sammy said in an unusually high voice. 

"Still seeing her?"

"Yeah..."

"I heard that you gave up going to Duke to go to Azabu with her."

"Yes..."

"Aww..." Serena said. "How cute! I didn't know you were a romantic, Sammy."

"Serena!" Sammy hissed, blushing furiously.

"Pretty serious?"

"I guess... She's really great."

"I've GOT to meet with her!" Serena cried. "I need to tell her all your 
faults, like snoring, talking to yourself..."

"Again?" Sammy said tiredly.

"Yes, got to make sure she hasn't forgotten any..."

"Se~RENA..."

Kind of short. I think I have writer's block or something. I don't know what
