Title: Locker Love Chapter 5 Author: Azn Angel Email: sakura_angel@excite.com Rated: PG Hey minna! I'm here with chapter 5! Special, ne? *silence* Well, fine, neglect me! See if I care! *goes off into little corner* *comes back* Well, I'm gonna continue this chapter anyway, even if you people don't want it! *sticks out tongue* OK, remember my little rule! I'm still stickin' with it! *small sob* My inbox ran away today. It held up this little sign (picture Ranma 1/2, the panda holding up a sign) saying, "Yu rite bad chapterz! I haven't gotten any emailz! I'm leaving!" (Yup, it's an inbox with messages from so many people who CAN spell, yet it can't spell itself.) So, in other words, my inbox is furious with me for writing such bad chapters to result to few messages. *sigh, shrug* I try. But, hey, it should be happy since you nice folk who actually bother to email me write such nice messages. ^_^ Thankies to all! Hope you guys got your replies from me! I answered 'em all! Oh, yes, I have gotten a couple of emails asking what Azn means. Well, it doesn't really matter, but if it's so life-or-death important to you, I'll tell, OK? It means Asian. As in, ya know, Asia? *bonk self on head with SM manga* (talking to self) They know that! On with this dreadfully scary chapter. *silence* Grr... Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon. I know, ye devastated people, that it's a terrible shock, but alas, Ms. Takeuchi has claimed all rights. *sob* Heartbreaking, isn't it? *sweatdrop* (MAMO-CHAN! WHERE ARE YOU!) ~*~*~*~* "Ayi! I'm late!" I cried, pulling on a sock, with a rice ball in my mouth. I had stayed up late last night, with that youma attack, and I slept through my alarm. (Not that it happens EVERYDAY, mind you.) I was rushing to get to school on time. By the time I got to my locker in the halls of Juuban Middle, everyone was in their classes. I grabbed my books and raced to Yamasamu's room. I burst in, and quickly ran to my seat, trying to be quiet. "Ms. Tsukino, late today, hmm?" Yamasamu-sensei said from his desk. I straightened up. "Hai, gomen nasai, Yamasamu-sensei. It won't happen again." "It better not. Take your seat." I sat down, not missing Mamoru's smirk. He whispered under his breath, "Are you late on occasion, Odango? Or is it everyday?" "Shut up. And don't call me that." I mumbled. "OK, class, get in your groups. Today we're going to take the whole class time to work on our reports. Get with your partner." Yamasamu said. Mamoru moved into the seat next to mine. "So, PARTNER, did you fill out those slips?" Oops. Heh heh, so THAT's was what Luna was tearing up yesterday when she was angry. "Uh, Mamoru, I think my cat got a hold of them." He slapped his forehead. "Great, Odango!" He sighed. "Ah, oh, well. We might as well do the real research on eachother." "Yeah, and I'm going over to your place today, ne?" His face tightened slightly, but he replied, "Yeah, sure, meet me at the sakura tree again." "OK." I agreed. "In the meantime, let's start our research." "Fine with me," he said casually. "So, Odango, where DID you get that hairstyle?" "Uhh..." I said nervously. "Well, I don't know, I've just had it." I answered, shrugging, not wanting him to know about my mother's hair. "Really?" he murmured, with a look in his eyes. It wasn't scary, or intimidating, it was almost... tender. I mentally shook myself. 'Yeah, Usagi, like the baka could be tender.' I thought. But a voice inside of me scolded, 'You shouldn't make such quick judgements!' "Well, have you any interests?" he asked. "I... I enjoy ice-skating. And I like reading manga." He raised an eyebrow. "That's it?" "Um, I like the moon and stars." "Ahh..." he drawled, leaning back in his chair. "Something worthwhile. Astronomy." "Hey!" I protested quickly. "Ice-skating is a sport, and manga is an... an... a material of entertainment!" I finished. Inside, though, I was shaking. 'Astronomy?' I thought. 'Wasn't that part of my dream? ...Naah, must be a coincedence. Lots of people like astronomy.' (AN: I do!) But, still, I was kind of stunned. "Uh huh." He said. "Right. Manga. You kidding me? Comics are for children." "Well, you're the same age as me, Mamoru!" I retorted. "But the same intelligence level?" He snickered. I made a hurt look. "Geez, why are you so mean, Mamoru?" I muttered under my breath. "Nani?" My eyes widened. It wasn't meant to be heard! "Uh... nothing." He gave me a look, but went right on asking me questions. "Where did you move from?" I looked at him suspiciously. "How do you know I moved here?" "Well, yesterday, you said that you were new here, so I figured you moved here too." "Oh." He smirked. "And besides, if you hadn't just moved here, you would've known who I was." I glared at him. "Well, you sure think you have the place of popularity, ne?" He shrugged. "I don't think." He winked at me. I blushed. "I know." "OHHHH, you pathetic baka!" I punched him lightly on the arm. He laughed. "Owww..." he said sarcastically. "That hurt, Usaaaaa." I blushed furiously at the nickname he gave me. "..." "Oh, come on. Speechless at the pet name, Usa?" he teased. I mentally slapped myself and rolled my eyes. "Yeah, right, Mamoru. Like you could get me speechless." He pretended to think about it. "Hmm, maybe you're right. After all, it must take a miracle to shut that big mouth of yours." "OOOOH!" I seethed, waving my arms around. "You jerk!" "Now, now, Usa, is that the best pet name you can give me?" "AYYYYYY!" He merely chuckled, and looked at the clock. "Anyway, back to business, Usa. You distract me with your beauty and charm." I blushed yet again. I should stop him from making those kinds of comments. When I blush, I'm as red as a tomato. "Whatever. Ask away." "OK, but you didn't answer my question. Where'd you move from?" "Oh, Kamatode." I replied airily, waving my hand. "It's pretty far from here." "Hai, I've heard of it." He said. "Well, why do you like the moon so much?" WHAT is with this guy? First he asks about my hair, which leads to thoughts of my mother, then he asks about moons, which leads to me as Sailor Moon. Gee, it's like he knows all this stuff about me already! "Well, the moon is really pretty and so dreamy and romantic..." I looked into the sky with a faraway look, wishing it was night. "Romantic, eh?" He wrote that down. "I've got to remember that, in case I ever take you out on a date." he teased. I blushed again, my heart pumping. "Yeah, THAT will be the day!" I retorted. (AN: *slaps Usagi on head* Girl, wake up! Haven't you read your own manga?!) He grinned boyishly at me. "We'll see, won't we?" Now what's THAT supposed to mean?! "Heh heh, yeah, we'll see..." I trailed off, confused at his meaning. "So, do you have a boyfriend?" I gave him a sharp look. "Well, well, getting pretty personal, ne, Mamoru?" "Well, I don't see why I can't ask that question, considering I've already called you Usa and you've told me what is romantic to you." "NANI?!" I gasped. "YOU asked ME!" "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure." he said with a wave of his hand. "Well, answer the question." I was silent (and blushing) until I replied, "Iie, I don't." "Eh? Really?" he said, jotting that down in his spiral, his head bent down. Was that a smile on his face? He looked up. "Well, what about a crush?" "MAMORU!" I cried. "This is my PERSONAL life you're talking about here!" "It's a question, isn't it?" "Somehow, I don't think you'd ever include that in your report on me." I shot back. He sighed. "Just answer." I crossed my arms, refusing to speak. He laughed. "C'mon, Usa, it's just a question." "..." "Usa, you can't ignore me forever." "..." (I can try though, can't I?) "Usa, we only have a few more seconds 'til the bell." I immediately started packing up my stuff. "Well, fine, then, Usa, but you're still coming with me after school to my place. You can't ignore me there." RIIIINGGGG! Ah! Saved by the bell! (AN: Hai, I know that's old, but what else could I put?) ~*~*~*~* YES! The school day was half over! I was sitting at a lunch table, waiting for Ami and Mako to come, when I heard some girl and her friend were chatting about the baka, so I decided to tune in. "Did you hear what happened today in first period?" A girl, I think her name is Kamishi, said. "Iie," her friend, um, Anikema, said excitedly. "What?" "Well, I was sitting near Mamoru and his partner, Tsukino Usagi-" 'That's me!' I thought. (AN: Duh!) "And I guess Mamoru must have a crush on this girl, because he was asking her things like if she had a boyfriend or if she had a crush and asking her what she thought was romantic in case they ever went out on a date!" "NO WAY!" Anikema squealed. "But get this!" Kamishi cried. "He said she had beauty and charm!" Anikema's mouth dropped open. "Kami, I'd kill for him to say that to me!" "That isn't all! He also called her... Usa!" "KAMI-SAMA!" Anikema exclaimed. "They must be a couple or something!" I opened my mouth, ready to correct them, when Kamishi jumped in. "But I heard Mamoru tell his friend in third period that that this Usagi was the perfect girl! He said that he was determined to go out with her if it was the last thing he did!" "Ohhhh..." Anikema sighed dreamily, her hands clasped together. "That is so romantic!" I was shocked, to say the least. I turned back around to my sushi lunch. It WAS romantic, I couldn't argue with that. I knew he was flirting with me earlier today, but did he really have feelings for me? And only after the second day we met? It was impossible! "Konnichiwa, Usagi-chan!" Ami said softly in a cheerful voice. "How are you?" "Surprised." was my only reply. Ami gave me a strange look. "Surprised? Nani?" I shook my head. "I'll tell you when Mako gets here." "Tell her what when I get here?" Makoto asked as she slid across from me. "I... I..." I stuttered, not knowing where to start. "You... You..." Makoto teased, opening her kawaii lunchbox. She pulled out some chopsticks with a rose design on them. "Usagi, tell!" I filled them in on what had happened and what I had heard, which took quite a while. "And now, I'm completely confused." I finished, sitting back in my chair. Ami wiped her mouth with a napkin. "Well, to me it looks like-" "It looks like you're getting pretty popular with the boys, Moonie!" Makoto interrupted, throwing down her chopsticks on the table. I blushed. "It's just one guy, Mako!" (AN: Henra-chan... does that sound familiar to you? Hmm? ^_^) "Ah, yes, it starts out as one guy, then it ends up with a waiting list." "MAKO!" I cried, blushing to the tip of my roots. "Onegai, don't say that!" "Why not? It's the truth!" "Mako, don't tease Usagi right now. She's trying to recover from what she just heard." Ami said. "Arigato, Ami-chan!" I said, looking at her gratefully. She grinned deviously. "You can tease her AFTERWARDS!" I sweatdropped, and bonked my head on the table while Makoto high-fived Ami. "You go girl!" She said. "I taught you well!" "Geez, you guys are ganging up against me! No fair!" I said, pouting. Ami laughed. "Ah, Usagi-chan, don't worry, we're just having some fun." "Some fun!" I muttered darkly, cleaning up my trash as the lunch bell rang. I stalked off to my fifth period class, leaving my giggling friends behind. ~*~*~*~* I was walking to the sakura tree at a nice, easy pace. I had gotten out of my last class earlier than usaul, so this time, I wasn't going to be late. *sweatdrop* That, and because I didn't want to face Mamoru. The rest of the day, I had pretty much avoided Mamoru. Fortunately he thought I was still steamed about what he said this morning, so he wasn't questioning. As I neared the meeting spot, I saw Mamoru talking to someone up ahead. When I was close enough, I saw he was very close to whoever he was speaking with. I suddenly braked. He was leaning against the tree. The person was leaning against him. The person was Anikema. ~*~*~*~* *smiles* Nice place to stop, ne? WHAT?! Don't glare at me like that! Hey, consider yourself lucky, since the last two chapters weren't cliffhangers! Please send me feedback! I really appreciate it! ~*~Azn Angel~*~ 100% Azn, 90% Angel
