Then a huge hole was blown through the ceiling, causing Jupiter to shield her eyes. She looked up in time to see a huge piece of the ceiling falling towards her. She rolled out of the way, then ran toward the door. She stood just inside the corridor and looked back in. The ceiling was not glowing as intensely anymore, and a large portion of it in the center was gone. Through the hole, she saw what looked like a circular metal door in another metal ceiling. A few seconds later the door opened, and the stone ceiling started to glow brightly again, making the room warmer. Jupiter then walked under the door, and looked up, clutching her Lightning Strike Hammer. Inside, Captain Csifra and Grihle were talking to each other, while Sresly was working on some displays. "Do you really think," Csifra asked Grihle, "she'll be stupid enough to enter our ship?" "I don't know," he replied, "but it's worth a shot." They were both looking at a large screen that showed Jupiter almost like she was looking up at them. They froze in anticipation, not making a single noise. After what seemed like an eternity for them, Jupiter jumped up. "She took it!" Csifra shouted as he turned around, "Grihle, Sresly! Get down there and capture that girl. She has to know where the silver is." "What girl?" Sresly asked. "The girl inside the ship, stupid!" Grihle shouted. "Oh . . . okay," he responded. Grihle then grabbed Sresly by the arm and practically threw him out the door, and he followed behind. Jupiter was looking at a long metal corridor leading to a door. Right behind her, there was a rack with various alien looking rifles. Hanging on hooks on the walls of the corridor were various silvery colored body suits. Then, with a hiss, the hole behind her closed. Jupiter paid no attention to it, as she was too deep in thought as to where she was. 'This . . . doesn't SEEM like Jovian construction. But it WAS right above the ceiling. Maybe a non-traditional architect built it. Hell, this whole place is non-traditional. Wait . . . these suits. They're not made for Jovians. The hands and feet are too small,' she then turned one of the suits over, 'and there aren't any holes for the wings,' but when she looked at one of the smaller suits, she saw it did have holes for wings. "Hmm," she said out loud, "This one does. Weird." Then she heard the sound of distant footsteps, and looked at the door. She then looked back at the closed floor and cursed. Not wanting to be the one caught by surprise, she quietly ran toward the big door and leaned back against the wall next to it. She held her breath in anticipation, hoping that whoever was approaching wouldn't see her until she could strike first. Suddenly, the lights in the corridor dimmed to near darkness, and Jupiter could barely see. She clutched her Hammer tighter, waiting to ambush whoever came in. "Hey!" a familiar voice said. "Ahhhh!" Jupiter shouted as she nearly dropped her Hammer. Then she recognized the voice as her running partner. She kicked herself for being able to be taken by surprise so easily. "You? How did you get here? Where are we? Did you do this? How-" "Whoa! Slow down! One at a time." "Wait. Shhh, shhh. There's someone coming." "I know. That's why I turned off the lights. They can't see well in the dark. In fact, they hate it." "How do you know that?" "I overheard them." "How did you do that?" "I got in through their air ducts, and passed them from overhead. I also disabled all but the backup lights from there." "Kewl. So . . . this thing isn't from around here." "Nope. Never seen anything like it. And our friends apparently don't want you here." Then they heard two voices coming closer, and Jupiter tensed up. Her partner mimicked her and took his place on the other wall. The steps came closer as Jupiter held her breath, knowing this was for real. Then, the steps stopped just outside the door. This lasted for an eternity to Jupiter, and she began to sweat like never before. 'What are they doing?' she thought. She was becoming hotter as she waited for nothing. Time froze as she stared into the darkness, and she soon became a little woozy. She started to sweat more now, and her Hammer nearly slipped out of her hands. Then she realized something. 'It ain't me! It's the room!' "They're trying to flush us out," she whispered to her partner. But she immediately realized that was a mistake when she felt the wall behind her vanish with a blood-chilling sound, and she felt something grab her by the collar and throw her hard against a wall. She dropped her Hammer as she was punched in the stomach so hard, she spat out blood. Then her attacker gave her a left hook, and she was out. "Heh-heh," Sresly said to Grihle, "Easy. Always easy." "Yeah, right. She could probably beat you in a fair fight." "No! No beat! Me too strong!" And Sresly punched a hole in the wall. "Okay, okay! Sure. Too strong. Right. Wait. Weren't there two?" Then the door opened behind Grihle, and he felt an arm wrap around his neck, and begin to choke him. "You okay, Grihle?" Sresly asked. "Argh! Get . . . him . . . off!" "But Cap'n didn't say nuttin' about no guy." "NOW!" "OK. But if Cap'n get mad, your fault." Sresly walked toward Grihle and tried a high roundhouse kick. Jupiter's partner let go of Grihle and the kick hit him instead, and he went flying. But the trip was short as he hit a wall, and lost consciousness. "Uh-oh. That bad," Sresly said. Then Jupiter's partner threw a punch at his stomach, and found him as hard as a rock. "Uh-oh. That's bad," he said. "Hey. I say that." Sresly tried to bring his fist down on his head, but he rolled away towards Jupiter. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder, and looked over his shoulder to see her trying to get up. Her face was twisted with anger, and a small trickle of blood out of the corner of her mouth was a good touch. Sresly started to run towards them, but Jupiter stood up and swung her Hammer as hard as she could at Sresly. The impact sent him across the entire corridor, and he rolled on the ground for only a meter before he hit the opposing wall. But Sresly got up almost as if nothing happened. "Whoa. I felt that," he said. "You're going to do more," Jupiter said to him, "than just feel this one! JUPITER . . ." Jupiter held her Hammer vertically in front of her chest as the lightning rod in her tiara appeared. The head of the Hammer began to glow as a stream of electricity began to visibly flow from the head, to the rod, and then upwards. ". . . ROOTING . . ." She slowly pointed the Hammer downward and created a small pool of electricity under her feet. ". . . . . . . SENSATION!" And finally, she quickly swung her Hammer up until it was right over her head, and, with a translucent image of a tree behind her, the pool of electricity erupted in dozens of root-like tendrils of electricity that spread out from under her towards her enemy. Grihle was waking up just in time to see the roots coming towards him, before he was consumed, and, without so much as a scream, became ash. Sresly got it worse as the roots only went up to his knees. He screamed as the rest of him was electrocuted slowly. His charred corpse fell to the ground, and Jupiter's power spread into the ship and blew out the remaining lights. "C'mon. Let's go find the ringleader," Jupiter said. "Why?" her partner asked, "Can't we just leave? There's nothing for us here." "Are you kidding? I wanna see what these guys are all about!" She then punched the palm of her hand as she continued, "I need some action. And they might know how to get me home." "Okay, I guess. They WERE rather intrusive." "That's the spirit! Let's show these creeps what happens when you mess with Jovians!" Jupiter's partner got up, and they began to run down the length of the corridor. Jupiter was bashing down every door she came to with her hammer, but was finding nothing. At the end of the corridor, she found that the last door wasn't going to go without a fight. She pounded it for a minute before she even began to dent it. Her partner began to punch the door along with her, and she was surprised at his effectiveness. But it was the Scout who broke through first. A pair of hands grabbed her arms and threw her hard against what was, in her opinion, one of the hardest walls in the universe. "Who the-" Jupiter's escort began to say before he felt searing hot energy hit him in the chest. It propelled him over ten meters away before it detonated as he hit a wall. The explosion rocked the ship, knocking their attacker off balance. Jupiter shook off the pain, and charged him. But he took advantage of his fall, stood on his hands, twirled around with his legs outstretched, and kicked Jupiter twice in the head before he got back on his feet. Jupiter staggered back a little, but recovered in time to see a pipe being swung her way. She ducked it with a leg sweep, and she heard a THUNK and a CLANG behind her as she pounced at her Hammer. But it soon wouldn't do any good as she heard Csifra shout: "COMPUTER! FOUR LOCK!" When Jupiter reached her Hammer, four beams of energy came out of the wall, then bent around her wrists and ankles. They then pinned her to the wall just as the lights came on. Csifra was in front of Jupiter, dusting off his uniform. "I was almost impressed by that," he told her, "but I have seen much better attacks in the academy. Now-" But he was interrupted by a loud scream from behind. He turned to see Jupiter's escort running at him, but not soon enough so he could move out of the way. Jupiter's heart skipped a beat when she finally saw her escort. He was made of stone, and he had a huge crack where the energy beam hit him. He was a statue. He grabbed Csifra in a bear hug, an slammed him against a tall cylindrical machine. He then outstretched his giant, bat-like wings, and shouted: "I never even knew your name!" "It's Lita! Princess of Jupiter!" They both knew he would not live through this. "Give me power, oh great Jupiter!" Then the two were surrounded by an incredible amount of electricity, and explosions started to fill the ship within seconds. Jupiter's bonds were released, and she started to run toward her escort, but he was already gone, along with Csifra. She knew she could not save him, so she ran out, picking up her Hammer along the way. She ran down the corridor, trying to remember which door lead out. She was gone within moments, but realized there was no way she could go out the way she came in through. Then she remembered that the ship came in through the roof, and she could go out the same way. She found an uncovered hole, and jumped up as hard as she could. She barely reached it, and within moments, she was outside. She jumped off the edge of the island just as the ship exploded. The winds carried her to a nearby island where she saw the entire island she just left explode. With a loud exhale, she lay down on her back, overjoyed it was over. The she thought about her escort. 'He was the last of my people, statue or no. He didn't even have a name. Yet he died with honor. But was he truly the last?' She then heard a noise behind her, and she turned around. But she saw nothing but an ancient castle. But when she paid close attention, she saw the castle was still in good condition, and that light was shining through some of the windows. She then saw a black silhouette walking past a window just as she was surrounded by glimmering energy . . .
