Hauntings Lady of the Black Rose Ladynorose@hotmail.com ~*~*~*~*~*~ Part 9. Heyyas! Here's part nine! Woo, this is a long series, huh? Sailor Moon ain't mine, and neither is *sniff sniff* Seiya! WaAAaaAaAaAaAaAAAAaaaaaa!!! BUt if you wanna sell, I got $4.47!! ~*~*~*~*~*~ "Okay, there it is. The big, the bad, and the ugly. All shoved in the blender and we have this *lovely* product." Sailor Thunder motioned to the youma who was prowling around the park, looking for someone to drain. "Ya know, it'd be funner if we waited until he attacked someone." Aqua said, and was answered by Pyro smakking her unside the head. "IT WOULD!!" She protested. "Um, how bout I go back and hide under the couch? I mean, there's so *many* of us, you don't need lil' ol' me!" Sailor Moon pleaded. Mars rolled her eyes. "Okay, minna. We're doing Plan F, with a double wammy. Got it?" Mercury asked. Everyone nodded. The inner senshi had changed all the plans around to accomidate the extra senshi, and had explained each one. "NOW!" Aqua and Pyro went up in the trees. Thunder and Melody went left. Mercury and Venus went back. Mars and Moon went right. Jupiter was behind the bushes. She, Aqua, Pyro, and Venus were back-up. The cats hid. Good plan, huh? "You know, I think that if we went to that tree right beside *it*, maybe we'd be better 'back-up'." Pyro suggested. Aqua shrugged and began moving through the trees. They positioned themselves carefully in the tree that was to the left of the youma, preparing to drop in, anytime. "Hey! Freak-face! Over here!" Thunder yelled. "Ya, me! In the ridiculous costume!" "OVER HERE!" Mars yelled. The youma was whirling from side to side to look at the senshi. "Behind you, pretty boy!" Venus called. It spun around. "Lookie here!" Jupiter stood up. The monster had to be dizzy! "RAAAAA!" It roared, and began to fire small ice shrands that were very sharp. The reason we know this is because one went through the tree that Aqua and Pyro were in. "Hey hey hey! You're supposed to submit quietly while we kill you! WAAAAaaaaAAAAAaaaaA!!" Sailor Moon whined. "SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!" Jupiter yelled, trying out her new attack. The youma avoided it, but that put it right in Melody's sights! "RINGING HARMONY!!!" Another miss. "Dammit! Die! CRYTALLINE THUNDERBOLTS!" Tunder chanted as the youma nearly fell on top of her. She got a point blank hit, and the youma screamed in agony. It threw it's ioce thingies in a rage. Two of them ebedded themselves in Thunder's arm. Blood began to flow freely. "BURNING MANDALA!" "SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!" "VENUS LOVE ME CHAIN!" "HURRICANE INFERNO! !" "FIRE RAIN!!" The atacks were released simotaniously. The youma was left, just clinging to life. Sailor Moon began to power up. "MOON PRINCESS HALUTION!" She shouted, and the youma didn't scream like the others. It just melted into dust. Meanwhile, Thunder had lost a lot of blood.Aqua jumped down from the tree and walked over to her. Jumbled emotions shone in her eyes. Mercury knelt beside her, while Artemis mumbled about tempers. "Are you okay, Michelle?" Pyro asked. "Who, me? I'm fine. Did you see that hit?" Thunder smiled weakly. "Point Blank Range." "Move aside." Aqua said, after looking at the pool of blood Thunder lost. They all looked at her strangely. "Huh?" Mars asked. "Just do it!" Aqua sighed. They inched away from Thunder, who had a look of surprise and just a tad of fear on her face. She knelt on her knees beside Thunder. Both her hands hovered over the wounds. "Whacha doin?" Thunder asked. "Something." Aqua mumbled, and concentrated on her energy. A slight blue light glowed from her hands. The senshi watched in shock as the ice shrand fell from the cuts and the cuts closed, wthout any trace of a wound. Thunder stared at her arm like it was an alien. "Gee, thanx." She whispered. Aqua stood up, her legs a little shaky. Healing takes energy, ya know! "There goes that secret." Aqua muttered and powered down. She turned to look at her audiance. "WHAT?!" "Um, er, Iris? How--?" Pyro asked. "I taught her. I hope you don't mind, Vulcan. Nor you, Iris. But I think it's time they knew about me." The all too familar black figure stepped out of thin air. As usual, her face was concealed by the hood. "Mystic!" Iris gasped. Pyro got a jealous look on her face, and turned away. Only Venus and Jupiter noticed this, however. The others were busy starng at Mystic. "Who the hell are you?" Thunder demanded. "Still have such a temper, Michelle. You'd think you'd learn after a while. but at least you are not as bad as Uranus. Now that's trouble. With a capital T." A soft peal of laughter came from the girl. "H-how do you know her name? And who are you?" Mercury asked. Mars held an anti-evil charm behind her back, slowing chanting, under her breath. She threw the charm at the girl. Black was a sign of evil to her. Mystic held up a gloved hand. The charm stopped and dropped in mid air. A gasp came from Mars. "Geez, Rei. Give me a chance to tell you who I am before you start flinging those annoying pieces of paper. Just because I like black! Geesh!" "You can trust her." Iris said. "Who are you?" Luna asked. Sailor Moon glared at her from her hding place behind Jupiter. "My name is Mystic. I am one of the few original survivors-- hell, it's just me and Pluto. And the occasional baddie." Mystic said. Venus was behind her, slowing moving up. Mars rolled her eyes. Melody was studying her, like she knew her. "Original?" Artemis asked. "And Venus, stop that. You look like a fool." Venus shot him a dirty look. "Geez. What do I have to do? Spell it out? Come on, Vulcan. YOU remember who the leader of the Celestial Senshi was, right?" Mystic asked. Iris could almost imagine her rolling her eyes. "Sailor Ice." Vulcan replied. "BINGO! Give the kitty a prize, Jonny!" Mystic yelled. Thunder reached up, and before Iris or Mystic could react, she tugged on the black hood. It fell down, revealing a cascade of long white hair with a bluish tinge. A face that was pale and doll-like. Big light blue eyes, silver almost. A mark was in the center of her forehead, a silver snowflake. "You're Sailor Ice?" Jupiter asked. "Mystic?" Iris asked. "Dammit, Thunder! You never could stand suspense!" Mystic turned and glared at Thunder, who shrank away under her cold glare. "Wow." Pyro muttered. This was her leader? But Mystic looked like a china doll. Fragile. But then again, look at Sailor Moon. No one would expect she was the most powerful being in the Universe. "By the Goddess Selene." Luna murmured. "Try the spirit of Ice! ICE STAR POWER MAKE UP!" Mystic called. She transformed, and her fuku was different. Her skirt was purple, and her bows were white. She had no tiara. The snowflake remained just as it was, and she had a staff, like a sorceress's, in her hand. They all stared at her for a minute, until Thunder broke the silence. "Geez, girl. Why didn't you want me to pull that hood down? You're gorgeous!" Everyone laughed at that. Sailor Moon hugged her, and everyone stepped forward to learn more about Ice. ~*~*~*~*~*~ "Ya know, I just realized somethin. We don't know anythin about Iris OR Mystic." Usagi comented. Iris, Michelle, and Mystic and gone to talk about something. They had been very mysterious about it, with Michelle looing confused as they dragged her off. The remaining senshi and cats were lounging around Iris's apartment. "I don't know anything either!" Daphne defended herself as everyone turned to look at each other. "We know everything about one another. Becca, Michelle, and you have been very open about your lives and pasts. But Iris hasn't said anything. And we just met Mystic, although Iris seems to know her. So..." Makoto said, looking at Daphne. "I met Iris the same day we discovered we were senshi! She hasn't said anything! Geesh." Daphne shrugged. Her expression changed. "Whenever I asked her about her family, she just clammed up and walked away. Maybe she just has a few skeletons in the closet." "We Sailor Senshi must know everything about one another so we can guess how they will react. If you haven't noticed, Sailor Aqua has a very different fighting style. She fights ... different. Like no one else is there. It's just her. She imagining something else in place of the youma. And she seems to hate that person." Ami said. "I've been watching all of you fight. Defense and observation are my main things. The rest of you, and us, see the youma. We attack the youma. But she-- somethings wrong with the way she fights. Like she's been used to fighting." "So maybe they took Karate." Minako suggested. "No. Ami's right. I can tell any of you here how you would most likely react in a crisis. But everytime, Iris doesn't hesitate, but she doesn't go head on into battle." Rebecca replied. "What's that supposed to mean? She beats up people?" Rei asked. "No, it's not that kind of aggressive fighting." Ami threw up her arms. "I dunno!" "I sorta see what you mean. Like I fought, when I first joined up with you guys." Minako said. "No, it's different. You fought with the experience of a senshi. She fights with the experience of a person. Of a hurt person." Ami explained, gesturing. "She knows who she wants to hurt, and the youma isn't it. Haven't you seen her face when she realizes it's *just* a youma? She's disappointed. Whoever she places with the youma-- let's just say, I would want to be him." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Okay, sup?" Michelle asked. Iris and Mystic, once again clothed in the black robes, only without the hood, had dragged her through some type of black portal, and know she was walking around in some kind of void. "Sailor Thunder, you are a different senshi. Like I am with wizardry, and like Iris is with healing. You hold a telepathic power." Mytsic said. Iris was sitting down, looking at Michelle carefully. "Tele-what? Are you crazy?" Michelle laughed. "Oh yeah? Okay, do me a favor. You see that rock over there?" Mystic asked. Michelle looked around. "What rock?" "That one." Iris pointed to a rock that Michelle could have sworn wasn't there before. "Okay, try to move it. No no, don't touch with your hands. Close your eyes and concetrate. Picture the rock moving." Mystic said. Michelle shrugged and closed her eyes. After a few seconds, the rock began to fidgit. It picked itself up and zoomed towards Iris, who just barely had time to duck. She growled. The rock dropped as Michelle opened her eyes. "What the hell didja aim it at *me* for?!" Iris demanded. Mystic had a hand over her mouth, concealing a grin, and a giggle. "You mean it didn't hit you? Damn." Michelle laughed. "Why you little--" "Iris! Michelle, if she wasn't expecting that it really coulda hurt." Mystic chided. "Ha! She deserved it!" Michelle mumbled. "Oh yeah? And just *what* have I done to you? Huh?" Iris challenged. "You and what's-her-name dragged me down here!" "Number one, it's UP here, and number two, it's for your own good!" "You airhead!" "Ditz!" "Baka!" "Konoyaro-- dude, we've been around Rei and Usagi WAAAAAAY too long." Iris broke up laughing. Michelle stared at her for a minute before joining in. "Geez! You two never change! Come on, Michelle. Let's try this again. And next time, if you try anything funny, I'll throw you in the time warp." "What's that?" "Trust me, girl, and I speak from experience, you don't wanna know." ~*~*~*~*~*~ No cliffhanger today. Yeah, I know how much you guys luv em! ~*~*~*~*~*~
