Title: Something Unexpected Chapter 7 Author: Blue Ice E-mail: qysm@hotmail.com Rated: G Hi everybody. What's up?!! First of all I'd like to thank a few people for writing me. Nicole and Melly Marsh. Sorry guys I couldn't sent you any chapters. But by the time you read this, chapter 2 is well in the past. And also P-120 for your encouraging message. (yes, this is definitely a Darien/Serena romance. No doubt about it.) Anyway, thank you so much. And thank you Violet Ice for your wonderful compliments. It really helped me a lot!!!!!! And also Morris H. Wilson. (the first person who e-mailed me!!!) Thank you so very much. I hope all of you continue to read more of my fanfics later on. The plot I had in mind for this story totally turned around. As I wrote each chapter, I keep on changing a lot of things. Mainly because it sounded much better than I had originally planned. But, I had no idea that this fanfic was going to be 7 chapters. I had only wanted 4 in the beginning. Then it's like "Oh! well this is a good idea, why don't I put it in." So it went on to 5 chapters.... ...6.....you get the point. All in all, I'm so excited about hearing from all of you out there who's reading this. I can never say Thank you enough. Well, once again I have to say this. Sailor Moon does not belong to me. Darn it!!!! Alright on with it........... Streaks of sunlight peeped into the dark room casting everything in stripes. No one would have ever guessed that the couple laying together in bed weren't actually married. And anyone who saw them together would automatically assumed that they were indeed taken and are deeply in love. Only if the loving couple would confess each other's feelings before it was too late. ---------------------------------------------*-*--- --------------------------------------------------- "ahh....." Serena yawned as she stretched her arms above her head. Outside, the snow has stopped falling and birds chirped happily. Not fully awake yet, she turned towards the warm body next to her and continued to sleep peacefully. One arm wrapped around her waist again like it had been always waiting to do that. Opening his eyes slowly, Darien stared straight up at the high ceiling. For some reason, he had the feeling that a boulder has been lifted from his shoulders. He felt something breathing against his chest. Turning his head sideways, he smiled as he saw the sight of her. Serena had her arms in front of her and her head was pressed against Darien's chest. One of her legs was draped over his. Liking the feeling of just being together, he laid there unmoving for a moment, until Serena stirred in her sleep and almost rolled half of her entire body over his. Not that he mind or anything, but he had to go to the bathroom badly. Carefully sliding below Serena, Darien stood up and drew the covers up to her chin. She was still sound asleep like a baby. Darien stood beside the bed and drank in the sight of her. 'She is really something.' he smiled and went into the bathroom down the hall. Serena was awakened by the smell of toast and waffles. She reached her arm over and couldn't feel Darien's body. Getting up sleepily, she trudged outside to the living room. Rubbing her eyes groggily, she spotted Darien making waffles in an apron. The sight of him standing there made her giggle. "Well, looks who's finally up, sleepy head." Darien smiled at her appearance. Her Meatball's were down, and her long blonde hair had been put into a bun in the back that was starting to fall. Walking over to Darien casually, she wrapped an arm around his waist from behind. Not knowing what she was mumbling, she struggled to say something. "Dar....Darien, you look so cute like that." She turned him around to face her. One strand of hair fell over his eyes making him look extremely sexy. Standing up on tiptoes, she brushed the piece of hair away and kissed him lightly on the cheek. "I'll be back in a jiffy alright Muffin?" "Uhh, whatever you say." 'Muffin huh?' Darien thought amused by the nick name Serena has chosen for him. 'I could get used to that.' he turned to make some beacon, laughing at how Serena had just acted. She had been in one of those romantic dream moods again still not fully awake yet. "Oh my gosh!!!!!" Darien whipped around to see what Serena was freaking out about in the bathroom. She ran out to the kitchen and stood before him shyly. "Is something wrong?" Darien asked a bit confused. "Well, ya. You see what I just said. I mean a minute ago....um I wasn't really awake yet....." Darien's face fell for a moment. 'Guess I'm not really her Muffin anymore.' "I noticed." Serena seemed relieved for a moment until she saw his downcast face. "Why so gloomy all of a sudden?" Serena walked over to him, wondering if it was about his parents like last night. Darien struggled to speak for a moment a little embarrassed about the nick name she doesn't remember giving him. "You really didn't mean anything you just said?" he asked hopefully. "Well, some....and...and....oh the beacon's is burning!!!!!" Turning around, Darien's face met the smoke and coughed loudly. "Ok, I got it!" He quickly turned off the stove and dumped the pan in the sink. Serena couldn't help but laughed hysterically at Darien's black face. "Why don't you get your face cleaned up and I'll cook the rest." Serena suggested still laughing and holding her stomach. "Gee, I don't really trust you with fire...." "Oh you." she hit him playfully in the arm and sent him to the bathroom. A couple of minutes later, Darien returned to find the table all set up and the food prepared, not one single item burnt. "I'm impressed Serena, maybe you should do this everyday?" The statement lingered for a moment as Serena tried to figure out what he meant by that. "Well, I'd have to live here, wouldn't I Mister Smart Guy." They both laughed at the stupid conversation. "Alright, dig in." Serena didn't even wait and piles everything into her plate. Darien gawked at her purposely pretending to be shocked. "I'm hungry." she defended but ended up giggling. The rest of the morning went by the same way. They would talk and all of a sudden crack up on something funny. "I better take you home now. I bet your parents are waiting for you." It was around noon now as they just finished eating and was watching a cartoon show on TV. Surprisingly Serena didn't want to leave. "Oh alright, let me change back to my dress." she walked a slowly to the bedroom dragging her feet in the carpet. Minutes later, Serena emerged in her gown again. "Here is your....." Darien forgot what he was saying completely as he stared at her, his mouth half open. "Is something wrong with the gown?" Serena turned around to check if there were a hole or something. "No.." Darien closed his mouth and his gaze became blurry. "You look beautiful." "Oh." was all Serena could say. Shaking his head, Darien handed Serena her purse. "Shall we mademoiselle?" "We shall masseur." they walked arm in arm out of the flat. "Thank you." Serena said as the car stopped in front of her house. "You have been such a gentleman Darien. I saw a side of you I never thought existed. Stay that way would you?" Darien smiled. "I'll try for you." He reached up a hand to caress her cheek and traced her jaw line tenderly with his finger. Serena leaned her head sideways at the felling of his large hand cupping her face. She turned in her seat to face Darien. Running his finger over her lips lightly, he moved his head closer to hers in an agonizing pace. 'Oh, he's so close.' Serena thought as she closed her eyes and leaned forward. She had wanted him to kiss her for so long, but every time something would stop them. "Serena..." Darien breathed out huskily inches above her aching lips. Putting a hand on the back of Darien's neck, she pressed his head towards hers. He barely brushed his lips over her rosy ones with a butterfly kiss. Darien suddenly pulled away not knowing if she wanted him to continue. "Darien?' Serena whimpered and opened her heavy eyelids. "I...I.." Darien started to say, but Serena stopped him by putting two fingers over his lips. "shhhh." she whispered softly sending electricity through Darien's veins. Not able to resist anymore, Darien's mouth came over hers with a possessive kiss. He held one hand behind her head to support her as the other one rubbed her back slowly making her straighten up at his touch. Wrapping both arms around Darien's neck, Serena kissed him back with everything she had. 'My first kiss.' she thought. 'with the most wonderful man!' Serena has never been kissed before in her entire life. She felt like her whole body turned jello as she melted in the delicious feeling. Darien coaxed Serena to go farther and she ran her hands through his silky black mane making it all tousled. A groaned escaped Serena's mouth as she felt Darien's lips on her neck. It stayed there as Darien tasted her sweet skin over and over again. The trail of tiny wet kisses went up to her lips as she almost begged for him to kiss her again. To her disappointment, he didn't. Instead he kissed her little nose and her left cheek, then the right one, then a sweet one right at the corner of mouth. Finally Darien crushed his lips to her already bruised ones making her arch her body to his in ecstasy. Suddenly, Serena felt Darien urge her mouth open and his tongue entered her mouth. She has seen people kiss like this on TV, but never thought how good it would feel. Soon she caught on and with as much passion, her tongue darted into Darien's mouth liking the way he was coaxing her. Their tongues danced and twirled together, tasting each other's honey. At last Darien broke away in need of air. They both breathed heavily still holding each other like lovers would. Darien leaned his forehead on Serena's and gave her a lopsided grin. She in return kissed him lightly on the nose. "I'm sorry, for kissing you like that." Darien said looking into her beautiful blue eyes. There was a roller coaster of emotions that was going in different directions all jumbled up. "I should have held myself, but I couldn't resist those sweet tempting lips." He swooped down to capture her lips in another deep kiss that sent shivers all the way down to her toes. "I have to see you again Serena." Serena could not comprehend what Darien was saying. "You do care about me!" Serena wrapped her arms around Darien and kissed him full on the lips for at as long as she could hold her breath. "I care about you more than anything else." Darien said sincerely. "You're the light of my soul. Without you I'm just a pathetic man with a haunting past. But now that you're a part of my life, I feel as though my wounds had been healed. And all my pain had been taken away." Darien touched her face longingly. "Darien, that's so sweet. I.....I don't know what to say." Serena choked between sobs. She was so deliriously happy. Darien looked at the timer in the car. "It's already 1 o'clock. Maybe you should go in before your father comes out here with a shotgun." Serena looked out of the car window and squinted her eyes from snow. The sun was high in the sky, making the white snow blinding. "I suppose." She turned herself around and reached for the door. "No wait." Darien said suddenly. "Let me." He got out of the car, and went to the passenger side. With one arm directed towards her house, he opened the door with the other one. He bowed playfully. "At your service Miss Tsukino." Serena giggled and accepted his hand. Together they walked up to her front steps like the night before. "When can I see you again?" Darien asked as he held Serena by the waist. "Maybe tonight?" "I'd like that." he said as he kissed her. Serena wrapped her arms around Darien as he dipped her back slightly because of his height. "Whoa, TOTAL MAKE OUT SESSION !!!!!!" Someone screamed from a window above them and laughed. "Huh...." Darien stopped kissing Serena and turned his head to the direction of the annoying voice. "Sammy!!!! I'm going to kill you!!!!" Serena yelled angrily. "Not if dad kills you first!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!!" He shut the window and ran down stairs. "Oh no," Serena groaned and laid her head on Darien chest. "Looks like we've got a eavesdropper." Darien laughed. "I better go. I'll see you tonight at 7 then? At my place?" Darien asked as he played with Serena's pigtails. "Ok." Serena answered and giggled. "Good bye Muffin." she blew Darien a kiss and he pretended to catch it and put it right on his lips. Smiling he turned to walk away. When he was half way to his car, Serena burst out the door. "Darien wait!!!" he turned around only to catch a breathless Serena in his arms. He laughed and picked her up slightly where their faces met together. "I have two seconds before my dad comes out of the bathroom." She said. "Oh really?" Darien arched an eye brow. "What do you umppphh....." Before he could finished, Serena kissed him passionately making him fall back against his car. "ahh, I gotta go!" Serena got out of his grasp suddenly. With one last soul searing kiss, she ran to her house and disappeared behind the door. Still dazed from the kiss, Darien walked right into a light pole. "Oh my nose." he yelped in pain but couldn't help cracking up as he drove away not to see his beloved Meatball Head for 6 more hours. "Mmmm, Darien. He's so dreamy." Serena touched her bruised lips remembering the kiss they had just shared. She sat on her bed with Luna in her lap. Luna meowed loudly demanding attention. She was rewarded by Serena scratching her under her chin. "Serena honey, there was a note for you at the door." Mrs. Tsukino walked in and handed her daughter the note. "Oh, thanks mom." "You're welcome." Irene nodded her head and shut the door on her way out. "A note for me? Who could it be from?" Serena mumble to herself as she flipped the envelope over. There wasn't a name or address. It only said "To Serena." opening it carefully, there was a card in it. Serena took out the card and read it to herself. Dear Serena, It's 5 p.m. right now and I have a meeting with a client at 5:25. I have dinner reservations for us tonight at the Grande Royal Tower. Yes it's the big revolving restaurant on Cherry Street. My driver Sean will be picking you up around 6:15 because it would take me an hour to get to your house from my office with all the traffic. He will drop you off at my flat first and we'll go from there to the restaurant. I'm looking forward to seeing you. Sincerely, Darien Sighing dreamily, Serena put down the card. "Oh,I have to find something nice to wear since we're going somewhere expensive." She rushed downstairs. "Mom, Mom, where are you. I need help!!!!" "Good grief Serena, don't blow the house down." Irene came out of the kitchen with a spatula in her hand. "Mom, I'm going out tonight for dinner....and." "Dinner....out tonight....with who?" Serena's dad asked a little suspicious. "Uh, um...hee, hee...um....you don't know him dad." Serena stuttered. "Him.....it's a boy??!!!!!! My daughter.......going out with a boy???!!!" Ken Tsukino screamed and jumped up to his feet from the recliner, the Sunday paper all wrinkled up in his hand. "Sit down dear, before you have a heart attack." Irene said calmly, knowing how her husband would react. "Before??!! I'd say he's having a major breakdown right now!!" Sammy said ducking behind the sofa just incase. "Honey, please calm down. It's perfectly fine that Serena's dating a boy. Now sit down!!" she commanded. Ken sat down reluctantly and mumbled under his breath. "Come on dear, I'm sure we'll find something for you." Serena and her mom went upstairs to look for a dress. "What about this one? It's pretty." Irene held up a dress in front of Serena. "I don't know, it's too dull. I want something light." Serena said giving up as dresses laid scattered on the floor. "Oh look. This is perfect!!" Serena got up to see this perfect dress that her mom was so excited about. "Ohh mom, it's beautiful. I love it!" Serena exclaimed and touched the material. It was a light pink spaghetti strapped dress that had a even lighter shade of pink embroidered flower patterns. The dress was made of fine silk and tiny pink beats adorned the rims. "This is the one I've been looking for." "Well, hurry and put it on. It's almost 5:45." Serena rushed into the bathroom to try on the dress. She raised her arms as the cool material of the dress slid down her body and ended right below her ankles. There was a short slit n the left side, and a seam with beads right below her bosom. The top came down pretty low barely showing her bust. Satisfied with her appearance, she walked back into her room. "Oh, you look lovely." Irene exclaimed. "Come on lets work on you hair." Serena sat down in front of her dresser, as her mom put her hair in various positions. "I want something different this time." Serena said as she looked at her reflection. "How about this?" Irene asked finally. She had trimmed Serena's hair a little bit in the front, cutting it right below her face. She then layered it all the way to the back, but leaving the back uncut like before. Then she curled the ends of her hair and bangs. For the finishing touch, she stranded some pink beads into a strand of hair and pinned a pink flower made of beads right behind her left ear. "Oh mom. How did you do that?" "Well two years in beauty school finally paid off." Serena stood up and walked to the full length mirror. She spins around and around giggling happily. "This is so wonderful. Everything is perfect." "Come on sis. Are you still in that mushy mood?" "Sammy? How come you don't ever knock before you just barge in someone's room?" Sammy grinned lazily. "I don't know, I only do that to annoy you." Serena smiled. "Not even you can get to me tonight. I'm going to have dinner with the most wonderful man...hmm." Sammy spun around like Serena and said in a high pitched voice. "Oh, you're so handsome. Kiss me....hahaha!!!!" Sammy laughed holding his stomach. Mrs. Tsukino couldn't help but at her son's hilarious performance. "Alright that's enough Sammy. Go get wash up for dinner and leave your sister alone." "Oh alright." He turned to Serena and said a little unsure. "Just be careful sis. I don't want anything to happen to you." Serena walked over to Sammy and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you Sammy. I knew you cared about me." Sammy made a disgusted face. "Ya right. I'm just saying that because ...because....eh, I think I hear dad calling me." He ran down the stairs. "I love him so much, even though he can be so annoying sometimes." Serena said to Irene who smiled. It was exactly 6:15 when the door bell ringed. Serena jumped up from the couch and went to get the door. "You must be Ms. Tsukino." A man well around his 50's in a black driver's outfit bowed politely. "Oh, yes I am. And are you Sean?" Serena asked also bowing respectfully. "Um hum. I guess that Mr. Chiba has already informed you." He said as held up a cell phone. "Oh, yes he did." Serena smiled. "Well, we better get going, before we get stuck in traffic." "Alright, let me get my coat." Serena left to the closet. "Bye mom, dad. See ya Sammy." Serena waved. "Good night sweetheart. Have fun!" Irene winked. "fun....hum!" Ken huffed and swallowed a piece of chicken. Serena walked out into the cold to find Sean waiting beside the limo. "Thank you." she said as he opened the door for her. She giggled slightly. The interior of the limo was all black leather with a mini bar and a TV. A phone was set on a little stand between the seats. It was actually made for 8 people. Serena sat still, not wanting to break anything. Her heart beating fast imagining what Darien had planned for tonight. The limo came to a stop in front of Darien's flat. Again her door was opened by Sean. "Thank you." she bowed. "I hope you have a good time tonight Ms. Tsukino." Sean smiled friendly. "Oh thank you I will. And please call me Serena." Serena reached out to shake his hand. "Very well Serena. I hope to see you again." giggling Serena let go of his hand. "You too." Waving one last time, Serena stepped into the building. 'Everything is formal when it comes to Darien.' She laughed a little to herself. Taking the elevator to the sixth floor, Serena walked down the well lit and decorated hallway, excited to see Darien. Putting her hand over her chest to calm her racing heart, she knocked gently. No one answered. "That's strange. I'm sure this is the right one." Suddenly she heard a strong feminine giggling from across the hallway. The door was slightly opened. Walking over slowly, she had decided to ask if she had the right door number. "Hello?" Serena asked and peeked into the room. "Oh, no wonder, this is Darien's flat." pushing the door slightly, Serena poked her head in. The giggling had came from Darien's kitchen. 'What's going on?' Serena wondered and walked in. She froze at the sight that greeted her. 'What? I don't understand?' "Yes I know....uh huh....right." It was Melissa's voice that Serena heard from the hallway. She had been standing there her back turned to Serena leaning against the counter talking on the phone. Serena could not believe what she was hearing and seeing. Melissa continued to talk like she were the only person in the room. "I know you're going to be my maid of honor when Darien and I get married. Oh of course, he just proposed today." Melissa raised her hand and a gorgeous diamond ring glittered in the light. "And you've got to see this ring. It's so beautiful." Melissa continued to chat. Serena gasped and both hands came up to over her mouth in shock. Tears had already began to fall unchecked down her cheeks. "We're going out to dinner in a minute. He's taking a shower right now. I think I might just join him....hahaha....since he is my fianc饮" By now Serena was shaking her head. She had wanted to run and never come back, but for some reason her legs turned jelly and she felt like fainting. Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened and out stepped Darien with nothing on except a towel wrapped around his waist. He was drying his hair with another. "Darien!!" Serena gasped. Everything Melissa had just been confirmed. "Serena? You're early." Darien took the towel off of his head and smiled warmly at her, but frowned when he realized that she was crying. "What's wrong?" he walked over. Then sudden Melissa came out of the kitchen and ran over to Darien embracing him. "Oh honey, you're done taking a shower? I was thinking about joining you." She said seductively while running her hand over his chest and looked over at Serena. "Oh it's you. What are you doing here?" Darien couldn't believe his eyes. "What the hell is going on?'' He asked confused. "How could you?" Serena sobbed and ran out the door. "Wait Serena!" Darien yelled, but only the slam of the door answered him. "What are you doing here Melissa?" He pushed her back. "Why I'm here to see you. I was worried when you didn't even call last night." she said faking hurt. Darien was beyond mad. "Who gave you the key to my flat?" He asked ready to fire somebody for letting her in unannounced. "Bernard did. I'm your girlfriend after all." She said and snatched the towel away from Darien's waist. "Have you thought about the proposal?" Grabbing the towel back from her, Darien glared at her angrily. "What did you say to her?" "Oh nothing really. She just heard my conversation with Jennifer. I was merely telling her about our wedding. It's her fault for eavesdropping." "What?" Darien asked shocked. How can he ever face Serena again. He was planning to tell her himself tonight. Now Darien was enraged. He has lost Serena, just like that. And it was because he hadn't been honest with her. 'How can I live without her? I have ruined everything.' "Leave now." Darien said coldly and clenched his fist. "You must be kidding?" Melissa stood back a little frightened by Darien's look. "I don't ever want to see you again. And take your pathetic money with you. It isn't worth half as much as Serena." Melissa's face was burning. 'How dare he say I'm worthless.' "Are you saying it's over between us?" she asked. "It has been over long time ago" "No one dumps me, Darien! You hear!!?" She yelled angrily and marched out the door. "You'll crawl back to me Darien and you'll be begging me for forgiveness." "Don't count on it." Darien said coldly and slammed the door in her face. Serena ran and ran, not really knowing where she was going? The cold wind slicing at her face like a thousand knives. She stopped to catch her breath as tears rolled down her cheeks. Her entire body was numb as she shakily touched her face. "Darien, how could you?" she said into the night air. Feeling miserably and cheated, she ran blindly down the street. Suddenly somebody grabbed her waist from behind and held her still against him. "Let me go!!" she screamed and turned around to face her attacker. "Please Serena, let me explain." Darien put a hand over her mouth to quiet her down. "Let me go....please let me go." She cried and hit him in the chest. "Serena, what you saw....." Darien tried to explain but was interrupted by Serena. "No, don't. I know everything. The proposal, the ring, you never cared about me?" Serena sobbed uncontrollably, her whole body shook as she backed away from Darien. "How could you lead me on like that? I....I was a fool." "No Serena it wasn't like that." Darien rushed forward to catch her as she felt light headed all of a sudden. "Please give me a chance." Darien said holding Serena tightly against him. "I don't want to lose you." Darien whispered into her ear. Serena stayed in his embrace for just a second storing the incredible feeling. Pushing him away, Serena stood back away from him. "You lied to me didn't you? From the beginning. I heard what Melissa said. It was clear to me. I was just one of those one time deals wasn't I. Well, if you were going to ask her to marry you, then why did you drag me into you life like that?" Serena cried out in pain. She felt like her heart was ripped into two pieces. "You really hurt me Darien. Just leave me be!" She shouted and ran away again. "Serena!!!" Darien called after her. "Marry Melissa? What?" He didn't know what she had meant by that, but he had a feeling it was all Melissa's doing. Darien stared at her retreating back. All of a sudden, she accidentally slipped on the ice and landed right on her bottom. Not even wailing about it, she got up and continued running. Darien's heart broke. "Serena, I'm sorry..." He ran after her in the night. Serena did not notice Darien following her all the way to the temple. "Rei!! Please open up!!" Serena cried and banged on the door. "Coming, I'm coming. Gees who the he... Serena!!??" As soon as Rei opened the door, Serena burst in and clung to Rei sobbing. "What's wrong?" Rei asked knowing it had something to do with Darien. "He....he's engaged....and...I..." Rei couldn't make out what Serena was trying to say. She led Serena to her room and shut the door incase Grandpa, or Chad happens to walk by. "Sit down first and try to calm down." Rei said soothingly. "I was....I was going over to Darien's <> all dressed up for dinner <> and I saw her....her....." "and... and then I just ran straight here. I didn't have anywhere else to go." Serena told Rei the whole story while sobbing helplessly. "Oh Serena. I'm sure there was a really good explanation." 'That jerk, if he did this intentionally, he's going to get it bad.' Rei thought as she clenched her fists. "First thing in the morning, I'll stop by his flat and get some answers out of him....and then..." "No." Serena interrupted her. "It's no use. I just want to forget that anything ever happened between us." Serena put her head in her hands and moaned. "Serena, if there's something special between you two, then you shouldn't just throw it away. You're only running away from your problems." Rei said sternly but passionately. "Like you and Chad?" "Yes, like me and Cha....what?" Rei blushed. "Where did you get a silly idea like that?" Rei laughed nervously. Meanwhile outside..... "Ding dong.....ding dong.." The door bell ringed endlessly. "Hold on." Someone from inside yelled. "Who is it this time?" Opening the door, standing on the front steps of the temple was Darien bent over breathlessly trying to say something. Chad was surprised. "Darien?? Oh for crying out loud, you could have just waited a little longer." Darien walked up to Chad who was playing a guitar in his hands. "I need to see Serena now." Darien said seriously. "Ok incase you didn't know. This is Rei's house. Serena doesn't live here." Chad said looking at Darien with a funny expression. "No, you don't understand, Serena is inside with Rei. She ran here after she left me..." Before Darien finished explaining, Chad smiled. "So you two are an item now??" Darien sighed. "No, we're not. Please just let me in so I can speak to her." he almost begged. "Dude, I don't know. I mean Rei would kill me." Darien grabbed both of his shoulders and looked him straight in the eye. "Is might be the only chance I have. I might lose her. Please, just let me in." Chad saw the sadness in his eyes. "Alright, turn left at the end of the hallway, her door is the third one on the right." Darien let out a breath of relief. "Thank you." he walked inside immediately. Shaking his head, Chad went back to rehearsing his so called songs. Darien stopped before Rei's bedroom door. He could see Rei and Serena through the traditional Japanese shrine doors that were made of paper. (I don't really know if that's true., but I know the doors are supposed to be see through. well bare with me here.) Combing his hair back with his hand, he took a deep breath. Suddenly he wasn't so sure anymore. 'What if she rejects me and shuts me out of her life.' Sweat beaded his forehead. For at least 5 minutes, Darien stood outside the door contemplating whether to go in or not. Hope was starting to cease. Finally getting enough courage and with determination to win her heart back, he lightly pushed the door open. "Serena?" he said softly, but no one answered. Looking pass the room, he saw the two girls talking outside on the balcony. Walking over to the door, he suddenly heard Serena mention his name. "I just don't understand why he wanted to see me again, if he was going to marry Melissa." Serena said exasperatedly. "He's such a confusing man." "Serena, be patient. I know everything will be ok. Trust me." Rei felt someone watching them, but dismissed it as Serena started to sob quietly. "I miss him already." Serena whimpered, loud enough for Darien to hear. "It's ok Serena. Just cry." Serena couldn't help but feel abandoned and alone. "He had been so kind taking care of me. And the way he held me just melted my worries and fears away. And....and when he kissed me, it was so soft, but passionate...." Serena trailed off remembering the sweet memories just a couple of hours ago. "How can I live without him." Rei rubbed her back comfortingly. "Why is it that you cling onto him so." Rei asked. "Because." Serena answered heartbrokenedly. "I love him." 'She loves me!' Darien's eyes widened in surprise. The end....JUST JOKING!!!!! Don't worry. I won't leave it unfinished. Anyway, this is the last chapter. The epilogue is coming soon. I might start working on it right after I save this. Ok, I'd like to say a few things right now. Thank you to all the readers out there most importantly. I don't know what I'd do without all your wonderful comments. And second of all, I'm glad I found this website. I have no idea how I came across it one day when I was actually looking for Sailor Moon pictures. It might have been one of those Links pages or something. Well, that's all I guess. Keep an eye out for another fanfic I'm writing after this called, "The Fire From Within." Oh ya...E-MAIL me please!!!!!
