Disclaimer = Me no own Sailor Moon. Me no own other stuff belong to other guy. ************************************************************************ * 23 days left * ************************************************************************ Usagi arrived at the Brazilian airport the following day. She walked down the terminal toward gate 34B to Venice Italy. Sitting down in the small waiting room that was next to the boarding gate, she put her head on her arms and thought back to the events of yesterday. After returning back from Makoto?s grave, she found the village to be destroyed. All the villagers had been drained of blood and their corpses littered the Amazon floor. Usagi, completely devoid of feeling, sank down to her knees and let out a long low scream. ?Last call for flight 5386 to Venice, Italy. All passengers must board at this time.? A voice over the intercom said. Usagi perked her head up at the sound, and gathering her bags, she entered the ramp and got on the plane. ~ Goodbye, Mako-chan. ~ ************************************************************************ ?You sure this is the gate?? Asked a slim blond figure. ?Yes, love, this is the gate.? replied a petite, sea green haired woman. ?All right. As long as you are sure.? conceded the blonde woman, turning back to look at the gate door. After a few minutes, the passengers of the plane started to exit into the terminal, Usagi was one of them. ?Haruka! Michiru!? She cried out when she saw them. ?How did you know I was coming?? ?We have our ways, Usa-chan.? Michiru replied, her face a mask of composed grace. ?So how have you been, Usa-chan?? Haruka asked, with a lopsided smile. ?Oh, Haruka! It?s just so horrible!? ?What is, Usa-chan?? Haruka asked, concern filling her face. ?He?s gone! He?s gone, and she took him!? ?Who is gone, Usa-chan?? ?Mamoru, my love. My mother took him.? ?You mean to tell me the prophesy is true?? Haruka asked, surprised. ?Yes, it is true. I found my one true love, the one meant for my mother to have, and then she took him back.? Usagi said, beginning to cry again. ?Come, Usa-chan, Haruka. We can talk about this at the palazzo. Lets go get your bags and be on our way.? Michiru said, leading the sobbing Usagi toward the baggage claim. ************************************************************************ Venice was decked out in all its finery that day, as if it knew someone important would be visiting. The waters of the canal were clear and blue, the buildings sparkled like great jewels, and the sun shone brightly. The gondolas were draped in red, blue, and green velvet, and the gondoilers sang marvelous songs that carried over the water, blending beautifully. Haruka and Michiru?s car drove to the very begining of the waterfront, and then stopped, allowing the passengers to exit. Haruka got out of the back, followed by a sullen Usagi, and finally a worried Michiru, and then brought the luggage over and hailed a gondolier. One made its way over, and they got in. ?Take us to the Palazzo Musico.? With a nod, the gondolier was driving his boat down the canal towards the palazzo. If Usagi had looked around while going down the canal, she would have seen some of the most beautiful archetecture. The palazzos with their stone steps and high french windows were beautifully made, not to mention picture windows and high balconies. All these buildings left over fron the decadent time of the courtesan were richly decorated with flowers and draped with velvete and satin, a truly lovely sight. All too soon, howerver, they arrived at the palazzo musico. Haruka handed the gondoier a few bills, and with a smile and tip of his hat, he was on his way. ?Come Usa-chan. Lets get you inside so you can rest and tell us what happened.? Haruka said, leading her inside of the palazzo. ************************************************************************ * Queen?s H.Q. * ************************************************************************ Mamoru struggled vainly in the dark room. He was tightly tied to a metal chair and a peice of strong black leather was gagging his mouth. As he moved, he made slight sounds of struggle, but it was all to no avail. The door to the room opened, casting light into the darkness, and blinding Mamoru. A figure appeared in the doorway, a female figure, and then entered the room, walking directly toward Mamoru. ?Well, Mamoru. Have you given up yet?? The figure asked, slowly coming into focus as Mamoru gained his vision. His gag was pulled off, and he took in large amounts of air. The queen was dressed just as before, except she was dressed in pure white, making her midnight blue hair look lighter from the contrast. Her normally dark blue eyes had taken on a golden hue to them, making them a lapis lazuli color. ?Never! Why would I ever love a sadistic b*tch like you? You, who keep me locked up here like an animal, and you expect me to love you? Never!? ?Well, well. The little prince gets awfullly pushy and rude, doesn?t he? Maybe this is a favor to my daughter, this taking of you. Saves her the problems of dealing with a rude little toad like you. What a mistake I made when I created you!? ?Why do you want me anyway? You knew the prophesy didnt? you?? The queen gave him a small smile, but then slapped him hard on the face. ?Of course I knew of the prophesy, how could I forget it, when everyone was spouting off about it. Yes I know, I was prophesied to create you, and then I would be dinied to love you would give my daughter. I created you to love me, not her!? She screamed out. ?I am not sorry you made me. If it weren?t for Usako, I don?t think I would have wanted to live. I had no hope before your sister gave it to me. She gave me Usako, and for that, I am eternally grateful to her.? ?Enough!! Maybe a few more days in here without food or light will make you change your mind.? The queen said, then turned and stormedout in a huff, slamming the door behind her. Mamoru could hear the door being locked behind her, and he lowered his head in defeat. ~ Usako, wherever you are, remember I love you. ~ ************************************************************************ * Palazzo Musico * ************************************************************************ Usagi had just finished re-telling her story to Haruka and Michiru, crying softly the entire time. ?So Rei and Makoto are dead?? Haruka asked. ?Yes, they died, they died because of me.? Usagi sobbed out. ?But you realize, Usa-chan, that it isn?t really your fault. It was their duty to protect you.? ?But I......I didn?t want them to die for me!? Usagi said, emotion filling her voice. ?Shh, Usa-chan. It wasn?t your fault. They did what they had to, and they died for a good cause. Don?t make their sacrifices vain.? Michiru said, laying a comforting hand on Usagi?s shoulder. ?Usa-chan,? Haruka began slowly, ?I think you need rest. When you wake up, I bet you?ll feel better.? Usagi smiled sadlly, and nodded. Haruka and Michiru smiled at her and Michiru led her to the guest bedroom. They entered, and Michiru went to the closet and pulled out a night gown for Usagi to wear, and setting it down on the bed, left the room with a farewell, and shut the door behind her softly. Usagi sat on the bed and started to undress. She then took the offered night gown and slipped it on, relishing in the softness of it.. She slowly stood up, and pulling back the covers, slipped under them, layed down her head, and fell into a deep sleep. Elswhere, Mamoru was entering the land of dreams. ************************************************************************ * Dreamscape * ************************************************************************ Usagi found herself in a shadowy, yet bright land fullof things she couldn?t begin to name. She was in the nightgown she had worn to bed, and was thoroughly confused. She walked along a path she happened to be standing on, and after a while, she was standing in front of a cottage. It was quite large, with a darkened wood door and greek marble colums on the porch. Suddenly, the door opened as if beckoning her inside. She began walking toward the open door, when Mamoru appeared before it. ?Mamoru! How can you......Why are you.........? ?I don?t know, Usako. I can only guess that we?re in the land of the dreamscape.? ?Dreamscape?? ?Yes, the world of dreams, the only place, as of now, that we can be together.? ?Any place is better than none.? Usagi said, looking inot his eyes. ?I am just glad to be here with you now.? Mamoru replied. Usagi choked back a sob and launched herself into his arms, he immediatly held her tight against him. Usagi buried her head into his chest, breathing in his scent while he stroked her hair comfortingly. ?Just remember one thing Usako. Remember I love you, and never doubt that love.? Usagi looked up at him, and before she could reply, his lips found hers and the two joined in a marvelous kiss. ~ Oh, Mamo-chan! How I missed you! ~ ~ I missed you too, Usako. ~ After the kiss was broken, they held eachother, enjoying the silence. * Bong, Bong * ?What was that?? Usagi asked. * Bong, Bong, Bong * ?It means that time for us now is over, Usako.? * Bong, Bong, Bong, Bong * ?NO! Its too early! I don?t want to leave!? * Bong, Bong, Bong, Bong, Bong * ?Good bye, Usako. Till next time.? Mamoru said, as he began to fade away. ?No! Mamoru!? * Bong, Bong, Bong, Bong, Bong, Bong * ************************************************************************ * 4 days later, 19 days left. * ************************************************************************ Usagi awoke with a start. Sweat clung to her form, her hair hung in limp strands. ~ But at least I got to see him. ~ She thought to herself as she climed out of bed. ~ I guess I just need a shower now. Actually, that doesn?t sound too bad. ~ Usai grabbed a spare set of clothes and entered the bathroom. About half and hour later, she emerged from the bathroom, clean, dry and clothed once again. She were a navy blue fitted t-shirt with a pair of black jeans, and black tennis shoes. Her hair had been left down, and fell in waves down to her waist, shining like liquid gold. Her eyes, however, were shrouded in sadness, yet still remained beautiful. SHe opened the door to her room and stepped out, trying to recount her steps to the livingroom, fortunatly she ran into Haruka in the hallway. ?How are you feeling, Usa-chan?? ?Much better, Haruka. Sleep was definatly what I needed. How long was I asleep for?? ?About four days.? Haruka said. ?Four days?!? I must have been really tired.? ?You were out like a light, but I am glad you feel better now. Are you hungry?? ?I?m starved. I haven?t eaten in four days.? Haruka chuckled a bit, and smiled widely. ?Well, in that case, follow me, and we?ll go eat with Michiru.? Usagi nodded, and Haruka began leading her toward the solarium. ************************************************************************
