Ok. Now for the standard disclaimer and author ramblings and such. SailorMoon isn't mine. It never will be. Until I'm reborn as the Moon Princess in my next life & then Sailor Moon will be mine because I'll actually have money to buy the Rights! Yeah!!! *Smile* I like this idea. However...Mamo-chan & Hotohori ARE mine!!! *Grin* Standard disclaimer...ect...ect...you know the routine so let's just skip it since I'm making no money off any of this anyways. Notes: Ok I realize this story might be a little confusing so here it is. Remember the dreams Mamo-chan suffered from in the anime? Well he left Tokyo to finish his schooling in America, hence, he stays away from Usagi. Usagi was so torn apart from rejection that she tried to commit suicide therefore her family decided to go on vacation, however they were killed in a car accident leaving Usagi & Chibi-Usa to live with her Uncle. If you read the story you'd know all his!! Anyways Chibi-Usa is still stuck in Tokyo, still trying to get back to the future. Now that that's taken care of...On with the story! Afterall chapter 2 DarkElf usabunny@moonkingdom.com http://clik.to/darkelf19/ Rated: PG Usako. Makoto paced along the wood floor, the Senshi watching her uneasily. "Kill...kill...Mamoru...kil l...Chiba...back...kill..." she chanted in a detached voice. It was Usagi who fianlly confronted her. "Makoto." she stated firmly stepping into the path of the pacing girl. Makoto stopped, staring at the stocking covered feet before her. "Makoto you will NOT harm Chiba Mamoru in any way got it?!" "But..." Makoto pleaded, her head snapping up to face Usagi's. "Furthermore," Usagi continued, her speech now directed to all the Senshi," should ANY of you harm Chiba the consequences will be great. As your leader, Sailor Moon, and Princess I guarentee that!" Silence. "Ummm. Usagi?" Minako ventured nervously. "Hai?" "What did Mamoru-san have to say?" Usagi blushed furiously. Placing both of her hands behind her back she replied in a rather mouse-like voice, "He missed me." "He..." "Missed..." "You..." "THAT'S GREAT!" Minako declared flinging herself at Usagi, toppling them both in the process. Proping her head upon her hands she continued, showing little concern for the awkward position she was in. "Now you two can get back together, but first you have to make him suffer but just a little. Wouldn't want to scare him away now would we? Of course not!" Clasping her hands together in a prayer-like manner she continued, little hearts now dancing in her eyes. "And then you can finally marry him and live..." "Happily ever after." Usagi finished sadly. "Usagi?!" Minako looked worridly down at her friend who managed a weak smile through the pain of Minako's knee in her gut. "I still love him. I always will. But I don't trust him. I can't." A tear rolled down her face. "I'm afraid he'll break my heart again; that I won't know how to live without him again. I have Chibi-Usa now. I can't afford to be weak and love is a weakness. I know that now." *A weakness! Oh Usagi...* the Senshi of love stiffled a cry. "Ummm, Minako-chan?" "Hai?" "Could you get off me now? You're kind of heavy." *Heavy!* Minako smiled cruely. "Of course Usagi-chan." "Thanks Minak...oph!" Craddling her newly injured stomach Usagi rolled onto her side. "Love you too V-Baby." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'San' used as a term of respect when refering to someone older than you or to someone you're not familiar with. High school students take this prefix onto their name as a sign of maturity. 'Chan' used for younger children (usually girls) or also as a sign of affection or endearment. Ex: Mamo-chan Note: In manga Usagi commonly refers to Minako as 'V-Baby' even though she hates it. Much like the hated 'Odango Atama'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Usako. Flinging his exhausted body onto the couch Mamoru sighed. It'd been a long day. First he had missed his flight to Tokyo, then failed to get a taxi and ended up walking halfway across Tokyo to get to work just in time for his supervisor to chew him out, only to have his first patient die in surgery two hours later! And to top it off he'd run into Usagi, and she hated him! Mamoru sat upright at that thought. *Hates me? She hates me? She...hates...me. She hates me.* A gasp escaped his throat as a tear forced itself from his eyes. Curiously he touched it, watching as it dripped from his fingers to become lost in the fabric of his shirt. *Hates me.* Another tear rolled down his pale cheek. *Usako hates me.* The damn broke and 19 yeasrs of agony came flooding out. Usako. "Did you have fun today, Sweetheart?" "Hai!" Chibi-Usa declared happily, swinging her legs as she finished her bedtime snack. Usagi smiled, watching her from the corner of her eye. Sometimes it seemed as if she really WAS his daughter. Shaking her head slightly she laughed at herself. *Usagi my dear you really ARE an Odango Atama!* She winced suddenly at rememberance of the hated nickname. *Oh...Mamoru...* Closing her eyes she allowed herself the luxery of memories of a happier time. When things had been simpiler. Before Mamoru had left. Before she'd been sadled with the responsibilities of parenthood. Before they had died. "Papa..." Suddenly her eyes snapped open, the weight of unshed tears thick in her eyes. Smiling weakly she turned to her daughter. "Time for bed Small Lady." Wide-eyed Chibi-Usa followed Usagi upstairs. *How did she know Mommy'snickname for me?! I never told her! Maybe...* "Okka-san?" "Hai?" "Do you miss Mamoru?" Usagi paused, looking at her adopted daughter with shock. "Nani?!" Blushing Chibi-Usa dropped her head. "It's just that I've missed him and..." *He looks so much like daddy.* Smiling Usagi finished tucking the child into bed before gently kissing her goodnight. Pausing at the doorway, she turned back to her daughter. "Hai Chibi-Usa. I've missed him too. Goodnight Sweetheart." "Oyasumi nasai." Smiling Chibi-Usa snuggled deeper into her sheets, her mind spinning with new hope. *Mommy...Daddy...I Love You.* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hai means 'Yes' while Iil means 'No' Okka-san = 'mother' Nani! = What! Oyasumi nasai = goodnight, said when going to bed Daijobu = what is it? Doshite = Why? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The blond man looked up at the jinggling of the bells. Two surprised eyes locked upon the face. "Mam...Mamoru?!" "Konnichi-wa Mokoti-san." Mamoru smiled, greeting his old friend. A smile spread across his face as he hugged his old friend. "So how was America?" "Um...intresting. So...ya seen..." "Usagi?" Mokoti supplied. *Some things never change.* Mamoru's eyes glazed over momentarily. "Yeah. Usako." Mokoti looked uncertainly at his friend, a knot growing in his stomach. "Well I ran into her this morning..." Mokoti trailed off noting Mamoru's distant expression. Sighing he continued. "She doesn't come in here much anymore. Usually too busy with Chibi-Usa." Mamoru brightened at the sound of the child's name. "Hmmm. So how's the munkin? Driving Kenji mad yet?" Mokoti stiffened visiably. Mamoru looked on with concern. "Daijobu?" "Mamoru...we need to talk." "Doshite? What's wrong? Mokoti!" Mamoru demanded an unknown fear clenching his heart. "Mamoru, the reason I don't see Usagi much is because she's busy raising Chibi-Usa." "Nani? But Ikuko wouldn't..." "Mamoru, she's dead. They all are." Mamoru paled, his eyes locked on Mokoti as the world spun wildly around him. His hand jerked, grasping the booth as he sunk into the chair. "How? When?" He looked to Mokoti with tear-filled eyes. "When Mokoti!" "About a month after you left. Usagi had detention, her family was on their way to pick her up then go on vacation when a truck ran a stoplight. They were killed instantly." Mamoru's head dropped. "She and Chibi-Usa lived with their uncle for two years until he went bankrupt and they were sent to the orphanage. A year later Usagi got a job at a new company, Diamond Enterprises, and once settled adopted Chibi-Usa." "She adopted her?" Mamoru asked surprised yet somehow he knew Usagi wouldn't have done otherwise. Mokoti nodded grimly. *Usako you've suffered so much!* "Where are they?" Mamoru kneeled before the graves, grief clutching at his heart, as he placed a single perfect red rose on each grave of the Tsukino family. Tears gathered in his eyes as he thought of everything his precious Usako had suffered. * I should have been here for you. Usako I'm sorry. This shouldn't have happened.* A tear broke from his eye, and rolled down his face. Sobbing silently he dropped his head to rest on his knee. Usagi paused realizing someone was at their graves. *Who?* Taking a step closer to the sobbing figure she gasped. *Mamo-chan!* "Mommy?!" His head snapped up. *That sounded like...* Turning he saw the pink haired child running towards a shadowed figure. *Chibi-Usa!* A sudden need to protect her rose within in him as he remembered his earlier days with the child. Once again his eyes drifted to the shadow. *Who?* Sighing Usagi stepped from the shadows to embrace her daughter. *Well, this should be intresting.* The figure moved gracefully from the shadows, long blond hair flowing behind her. *Usako!* His heart sang. He smiled at the tender embrace between them. *I always knew you'd make a great mother, Usako.* Suddenly he felt out of place. Shuffling his feet akwardly he wrestled with his heart whether to stay or go now before his heart was broken again. "Mamo-chan?!" He stayed. "Prince Demando?" "Esmeraude! I told you never to address me formally here. What would they think if..." "I'm sorry My Prince." Sighing Demando returned to his seat. "How goes our battle in Crystal Toyko?" Esmeraude cringed hoping to have advoided the subject completely. "Not well My Prince." Demando returned his gaze to her, his eyes burning with anger. "Not well?" He growled. "What do you mean? Did you attack the Crystal Fortress as ordered?!" "Yes, but we encountered resistance. A strong energy field. We could not penetrate it." Demando stood from his desk and briskly walked to the window watching Tokyo absently. "My Prince?" Esmeraude took a step closer, gently reaching out a hand to comfort her prince. Coming to stand behind him, she wrapped her skinny arms around his built torso, feeling the weigth of muscles through his thin silk shirt. "My Prince...if there's anything I can do..." she purred her hands rolling over the tight muscles in appreciation. Slowly her hands began to work their way under the fabric, her nails lightly scratching the smooth skin beneath it. Sighing he pushed her hands away. "Return to Crystal Tokyo. Find a way to destroy the resistance. Report back in one week with any updates. Dismissed." She hesitated, a faint blush creaping to her fair skin. "Y...yes My Prince. As you wish." He didn't budge from his position at the window. A few moments later he heard the clicking of her high heels against the marble floor. Glancing once more at the Tokyo horizon he grinned. Soon everything would fall into place and Crystal Tokyo would be his. He grinned even wider. *And so will you my Goddess. Then I will see you kneel before me.* Still smiling at that thought he stepped onto the busy sidewalked outside his business heading for his car when something bumped into him sending him toppling to the pavement painfully. Agrivated he pushed himself up preparing to teach the clumbsy Earthing some manners when he was met with two of the bluest eyes he'd ever seen, causing his words to catch in his throat. It was only then that he heard the apology she'd been sputtering for the last few minutes. Smiling his looked back at this Angel before him. "It's alright," he interupped, his smooth voice cutting her short."It's not everyday one meets an Angel." *Got her.* She looked up startled, blond hair flowing around her. Shock settled in as their eyes locked. *She looks like the Neo-Queen!* She watched him curiously as he extended a hand, helping her to her feet. "Arigato." He forced the surprised look from his face and smiled once more as the Angel proceeded to dust herself off. *Beautiful. Almost identical to Neo-Queen Serenity. Perhaps....* His mind started to wander as her looked her over again, noting her soft curves and slender figure. His mind began to imagine what it would be like to feel that soft skin against his, covered in the sweat of lust, her blond hair strewn around them....He jerked himself from his thoughts. *Soon enough.* he promised himself. *But first...* "Excuse me..." She looked up once more, his eyes locked on hers, burning into them with an intense lust. "but I never got your name." "Uh...Usagi. Tsukino Usagi." She shifted her feet wairly. He wasn't going to fire her was he? She prayed he wouldn't. She needed this job long enought to get through college and to take care for herself and Chibi-Usa, not to mention bills, food, and..." "So Saturday good?" She returned her attention to him. "Wha...what?" Had he really just asked her out? Her?! He smiled knowing he had her. "A dinner date. Saturday. I'll pick you up at seven." "Seven?! Saturday?!" She looked up in confusion, her heart hammering rapidly in her chest. Leaning down he kissed her gently on her lips, savoring the sweet softness of them. "Good-bye my Angel." Usagi stared as he drove away, her blond hair dancing around her, her fingers pressed softly to her lips. "Saturday," she whispered her heart still hammering in her chest when she heard someone move behind her. Turning she saw Mamoru staring at her with watery eyes, a look of heart shattering pain on his face. "Usako." **************************************** Whew! Finally done! Well that's part 2 folks.
