(Screen goes black and opening credits roll as a song, "I will Always Be There," plays. Then the screen goes back to black and the episode is introduced: Missing in Action: Explinations) At the Shrine . . . . "Have you found anything?" Luna asked the dark-haired priestess. "Yes," Raye replied with a perplexed look on her face, "But I don't understand what it is." "What do you mean?" Luna asked worriedly. "Luna, I see a circular room with a lot of shelves on the walls. On these shelves are crystal cat statues," she didn't notice Luna's startled look and continued on oblivious, "and in the center of the room is a short pillar with a large chunk of Topaz, with something in it, sitting on it." "Crystal cats . . ." Luna whispered with a look of shock on her face. "Luna, what's wrong?" Raye asked, concerned. "Raye," Luna said softly, "There is only one place taht fits that description. I'm not suprised that you don't recognize it." "Where is it?" Luna ignored the question and went on, "I think we'd better get the Scouts together for this. And Darien." "Darien? Why Darien?" Raye asked suprised. "Because this concerns him, too," Luna replied. "Luna, does this have something to do with his nightmare?" "What nightmare?" Luna asked startled. Raye blushed, embarrised that she had let his secret out, "It's just something he came to ask me about." "Tell me about it," Luna requested. After Raye had finished, Luna nodded, "Yes, it does have somthing to do with it." "What?" "Just get everyone here. I'd rather explain it to everyone at once," Luna stated then dashed out the door before Raye could stop her. In a deserted alley . . . Artimes was talking with a dark colored cat. Luna stopped for a moment in suprise at the sound of his voice. " . . . . and she won't tell me anything!" he complained. As she entered the alley, she saw him sitting next to a dark colored cat. Just as Artimes was about to go on, the cat saw her. It, no she froze for a moment, her silver eyes boring into Luna's. The, she raced deeper into the alley and disapered. Artimes straightened in suprise and turned to see what had caused her to run off. He blushed when he saw Luna standing there looking stunned. "Uh, hi Luna," he said when she remained silent. "Artimes, who was that?" she asked. "Oh, her. Just a friend I picked up," Artimes replied dismissidly. "What's up?" he added changing the subject. "Artimes," she hesitated causing Artimes to look at her in concern, "The Guardians are awakining and I think I know were the first one is." Artimes looked as if someone had hit him in the back of the head with a board. "Wha . . . Wha . . . What?" he managed to get out. Luna slowly told him about the nightmares, Raye's fire reading, and that she had asked Raye to gather everyone at the shrine. She was silent for a moment, then sighed, "You realize that the only place that can be is the Tomb?" "I do recognize it," he told her sounding slightly offended. The silence between them streatched out for several moments until artimes broke it. "Come on, they're waiting." Back at the Shrine . . . "What's going on, Raye?" Serena demanded. "Yes, Raye. Why the emergancy meeting?" Amy added. Raye shook her had, "I'm not really sure. Luna just asked me to call everyone here." Just then Darien came around the corner with a puzzled look on his face. "I got your message, Raye. What's up?" He noticed the other girls and looked even more confused. "Darien, what are you doing here?" Mina asked in suprise. "I'm not sure," he replied, "Raye left a message on my answering machine to come over." Raye sighed and gestured toward an unclaimed cusion. "Why don't you take a seat, Darien? Luna said she'd be back soon." "Luna?" he asked as he sat down with Serena. Lita answered, "Apparently, Luna called this meeting, then left to find Atrimes." "I hope your all comfortable," a voice from the doorway said before anyone could repond. Everyone turned in toward it and saw Luna and Artimes standing there. "Sure, Luna," Darien replied, rcovering first. "Good," she said as she entered the room followed by Artimes. She had the same calm look on her face she always did, but Artimes looked worried. That was enough to make the Scouts realize that this was important. After all, Artimes was NEVER completely serious. "OK, what's up Luna?" Serena asked impatiently. Luna glared at her, then began, "For the last few weeks, I've been tormented by a reacuring nightmare. Finally, I went to Raye for help yesterday," she noticed that Darien was paying close attention, "I hoped she would tell me that it was caused by nothing more than an overactive imagination. It wasn't," Luna hesitated for a moment, then plunged on, "I couldn't understand why I was the only one having this nightmare. Then Raye slipped and I found out I wasn't." She looked at Darien significantly. "Raye . . ." he said softly with an edge of anger in his voice. "Sorry, Darien," she replied looking embarrised. He sighed, "It's alright." "What nightmares?" Mina asked. While Luna told them about the nightmares, Artimes remained quiet and watched her. He noticed that she seemed to be selecting her words with great care. "Then after she told me about what she saw in her fire reading, I realized that it's time we told you about the Guardians." "The who?" Serena asked sounding confused. "The Guardians," Artimes supplied, "There used to be a Guardian for each planet and one for the moon." "Who are the Guardians and what does this have to do with my nightmare?" Darien asked puzzled. Luna looked to Artimes for help. Artimes knew that this was hard for her so he took over. "Because," he said softly, looking directly at Darien, "the one who is sending the nightmares is the Guardian of the Earth and you Companion, Devin." If you like it, please write.
