Author: GKnight 4 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Sailor Moon: In Search of A Star Title: Energy is What Makes the World Go Round (It's another nice, peaceful morning in the city of Tokyo. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, all is well except for a girl named Serena who struggles to get to class on time.) Serena (running with a piece of toast in her mouth and holding her school and lunch bags): Oh.....I'm going late again! I can't be late! I just can't be! (Serena runs through the streets, dodging other pedestrians. By the time she reaches her school, the students were already beginning to enter. Serena, being the klutz she is, rounded a corner and ran headfirst into Molly. Both girls fell to the ground and their books and other items are scattered all over.) Serena (dazed): Hi Molly. Molly (also dazed): Hey Serena. (After picking up their stuff they head inside. The students ahead of the girls walk straight for the assembly hall and not the class rooms.) Serena: Hey, Molly, where are we going? Molly: We were told to go to the assembly hall first thing. It probably has something to do with the men in the suits that showed up earlier. (The girls and the other students crammed into the assembly hall. It was noisy, until the principal, Mr. Mishin, came in and tapped on a microphone on the podium. Mishin looked quite strange and confused. He talked trying not to stumble over his words.) Mr. Mishin: I have arranged this assembly in order to inform you that.....Cross Roads Junior High School will be torn down at the end of the school year. (The crowd gasps.) Mr. Mishin: I know it comes as a suprise, students, and I myself was as stunned as you are, but I had no say in this matter or else things would be different. The school council has decided to sell this land to Akira Condominiums. I know some of you have questions so Mr. Akira is here to answer some of them. (Then a tall, clean-cut man in a business suit comes in. He was not applauded but booed and was pelted with paper balls and erasers. The man walked over to the podium and started talking.) Toji: This school will be the first of a giant string of Akira Condominiums that will stretch all across Japan, so you can feel lucky that your school will be the first! Now, any questions? (Someone in the background raises a hand. Toji points to the hand and up stands a furious Amy.) Toji: What is it little girl? Amy (furious): First, don't call me a little girl. Second, I want to know why are you doing this to us? Toji: Now, as some of you know, right behind this school is a construction site. It’s the future for Akira Condominiums. But I need more land and your school is in the perfect spot. (Questions went on for about another five minutes. A relentless Amy continues to ask questions.) Toji: Alright, final question from you. Amy (still furious): Don't you have the heart to stop this? Listen to your heart, your putting away lots of kids futures. (Kids cheered for Amy. Toji was furious.) Toji: No more questions!! (Mr. Akira then leaves the hall with his businessmen. Mr. Mishin goes on the mike again.) Mr. Mishin: Alright, everyone get to their classes! (Then everyone walks out of the hall and goes to their classes. In Ms. Haruna's classroom Serena and Amy begin to talk.) Serena: Amy, that was amazing. You put that corporation stooge in his place. Amy: Thanks, Serena. I’m not that concerned about us, but the other students that will have to find another school next year. Serena: I guess you’re right. Amy: Well, anyway, want to check up on Lita after school? Everyone else is coming. Serena: Yeah, I was planning on it anyway. (Ms. Haruna comes in and puts her briefcase down and everyone sat down in their seats. At the Negaverse, in Castle Heryko's west wing was a large facility. This section was the base for the Negaverse Intelligence Division. Jerlp and Kinet walked down a hallway to a pair of metal doors. They stopped in front of the doors and Kinet slid a card through a detector and there was a beep and the door slid open. The room on the other side of the doors was huge. There were desks and computers everywhere. Intelligence agents rushed about performing all sorts of jobs and typing away at their computers or talked at desks. On one wall was a giant video screen over thirty feet long and twenty feet high that showed locations on Earth or had information on energy. The room had no guards, but there were cameras scattered about the room and each agent was capable of handling himself. When Jerlp and Kinet walked in everyone stopped what they were doing and saluted both.) Jerlp: At ease. (Everyone went back to their own jobs.) Kinet: This really is a marvelous facility. Must have cost us a fortune, though. Jerlp. The cost is irrelevant. This facility can track down almost anyone on Earth or the Negaverse and have a full analysis and readout on them within an hour. That is just one of this area’s hundreds of uses. Now we must meet the head of the Negaverse Intelligence Division, Superintendent Libra. She is a crafty woman and knows what she doing and how to get out of a sticky situation. Not someone you’d want for an enemy, but she can be handled. (Then Jerlp and Kinet walked to a door with a small keypad and Jerlp pressed a couple keys. A second passed and a beep was heard. The door slid to the right and the two went inside the room. Inside was a small typical office, a desk, two filing cabinets, three chairs, one leather chair behind the desk which was now backwards and two normal office chairs. A clock, a surveillance camera, and a hidden laser gun taped under the desk. Jerlp and Kinet sat down and the leather chair swung to meet them. An attractive woman in a suit and tie and a skirt, with short blonde hair and dark green eyes. She held in her hands a folder.) Libra (very casual but with a hint of seriousness): Ahh.....my excellency. It has been a while since we met. Jerlp: Right you are. I suspect everything has been well? Libra: Of course. Jerlp: Yes, and what is it that you wanted to show me? (Libra then takes out of her folder a picture of some sort of “spring” overflowing with energy and note with some garbled text. Jerlp takes the folder and inspects it. When he is done with it he hands it to Kinet who also studies it.) Jerlp: An energy spring? On Earth? That's impossible. Libra: Techically, yes, but strange things have been happening lately and I wasn’t suprised when we found out about it. We just receive word about it yesterday, so I arranged this meeting with you as soon as possible. This isn’t an exact picture, but the spring would look like this. Jerlp: Good work. Libra: But there is a set back....we don't know where on Earth it is. Kinet: Hmm... (Back at Cross Road's Junior High School, the boiler room was going haywire. A janitor was down there hitting it with a wrench. The boiler was squeeling and smoke was spraying everywhere. The janitor kept banging until KA-BOOM! The boiler exploded and the janitor flew across the room. When the smoke cleared the janitor got up and swept the dust off his arms. Then, several teachers came down to see what was the matter. Where the boiler was, was a magical spring of blue energy spraying up from the ground.) Janitor: Gadzooks! What is it? Teacher 1: I don't know. (The principal then comes down the stairs and takes a look at the spring.) Mr. Mishin: I think what we are dealing here is something out of the ordinary. Teachers, go back to your classes and tell the students that school is out for the day...possibly the week. We’ll call the police and have them check it out later. Teachers: Right! (Back at the Negaverse, Kinet, Jerlp and Libra were still talking in the office when there was a knock at the door. Libra spoke into an intercom microphone.) Libra: Yes. Man: Superintendent Libra, we have found the location of the energy spring! Libra: Come in. (Libra then pushed a button on her desk, the door opened and the man came in. All three kept their eyes on the man.) Man: It says here that the Energy Spring is at.... (Back at Serena's house...) Man on tv: Cross Road's Junior High School is closed for the day. This is one of two problems for the junior high school. The other one is that its going to be closed down at the end of the school year. We had comments from the buyer, the owner of Akira Condominiums, Toji Akira. All he had to say is, "It is going to be the start of a new chain of Akira Condominiums". (Serena's mother then turns off the tv. Serena, Amy, and Luna are walking down the streets towards the hospital.) Serena: Hey, you guys wanna make a quick stop at the arcade before we go? I heard they got this....... (Amy and Luna look at Serena and that tells enough.) Amy: I wonder how she's doing. Serena: I'm sure she'll be just fine. Luna: Let's hope she's not in this coma for long, we really need her to help fight these new forces from the Negaverse. (The group then continues walking to hospital. When they get there they go up the elevator and check in. They then proceed to Lita's room. The guy next to Lita is still gone. The curtain is drawn and there is a faint humming. Serena, Amy, and Luna look at each other. The curtain is pulled away and out comes a vibrant Lita. There was Lita dressed up in some regular clothes with her hair back in a pony tail.) Lita: Hello! Serena (overjoyed): Lita, you're back! Lita: You're right. Amy (also very happy): Lita, this is great! Lita: Well for one thing let's drop the slack-jawed expressions and get back to business! We still got those Negatoads to worry about. Luna: Right! Well, when you were out they somehow made a "clone" of Sailor Jupiter and she's just as powerful as you are, if not stronger. (The girls then tell her about the skeletons and everything else that happened except for the school.) Lita: Well then, the next time that clone shows her ugly face I'm gonna teach her a thing or two about being Sailor Jupiter. Amy: Lita, there's also something else we didn't mention that you should know.... Lita: What? Amy: It's sad to say but Mr. Akira, the wealthy businessman, is buying our school. In two hours they'll be starting the negotiations in the cafeteria, and if all goes to Akira's side, the school is going to be shut down and being made into condominiums. Serena: Did you say two hours, in the cafeteria, Amy? Amy: That's right. Serena (grinning deviously): Well then.....I'll be back in a couple of hours! Lita: Serena, where are you going? Serena: I'll be back! I just got a great idea! Luna: Serena wait! I'm coming too! (Serena then leaves and bumps into Darien who just entered the room. Serena say "hello" and then goes to the elevator.) Darien: Where is she going? Amy: I don't know. (Serena then runs out of the hospital and to the school. The halls are deserted and she seems to be the only one there. She then pulls out her old device, the Luna Pen. A breathless Luna catches up with her and gives her the old "It's only for Sailor business" bit.) Luna (panting): Serena, what are you doing? Serena: You heard about the school going down right? Now I'm going to save it. I'm sorry about misusing the pen but it’s for the benefit of everyone that goes here and will go here! Luna: Hmm.....I still don't know. The Luna Pen is only for Sailor Business. Serena (holding the Luna Pen in her hand): DISGUISE POWER! CHANGE ME INTO A BUSINESS LAWYER!!! (Serena changes right into a business lawyer. She takes a look at her clothing. Happy with herself she walks into the school. Inside the school, Serena immediately heads for the principal's office. On the principal's desk, Serena finds the business card of Mr. Akira. She looks at it and then dials the number on the phone. After a couple rings, an answer. It was a secretary of Mr. Akira.) Secretary: Mr. Akira's office how may I help you? Serena: Hi, I am the lawyer for Cross Road's Junior High School. I have an urgent message for Mr. Akira. Secretary: Alright. Serena: The only time we have for a meeting is in about thirty minutes or less in the Principle's office. Secretary: Alright, he doesn't have much planned so, I'll tell him. Bye! (Then Mr. Akira comes out of his office. His secretary rushes to him.) Toji: I know. I heard it on my extension. It'll be good. I'll get more time for my golf lessons. (Mr. Akira walks out of office. Back at Crossroads, Serena is on the phone with the chairman of the school board.) Serena: Yes, that's right, Mr. Chairman, Mr. Akira says he wants a 25% cut off the original deal..... (Angry noises coming from the phone.) Serena: OK, bye. (Mr. Akira walks in.) Serena: Ah.....the school board has just informed me that they want more for the school. Toji: What? Why? Serena: Well, you see, you paid for the school itself, but you forgot the school grounds....outside. Toji: Well then, how much is it going to cost me? Serena: 45% more. Toji: What! That's outrageous! 30%. Serena: 25%. Toji: Deal. (Then all of the sudden, the chairman of the school board comes in.) Chairman: What? YOU! I DON'T WANT SCUM LIKE YOU AROUND HERE! Toji (standing up and screaming): BE QUIET! YOU GREEDY PIG!! I THOUGHT WE HAD A DEAL! (Serena leaves the room while the two continue to argue.) Serena (whispering to herself): This is awesome! Those toads will argue so much they'll call the whole deal off! (Serena keeps walking down the hall and towards the exit but she bumps right into the principal.) Mr. Mishin: Serena? Is that you? What are you doing here? (Mr. Akira and the chairman come out of the office.) Mr. Mishin: I thought I told the students that school was out for the day. Toji: Student? Chairman: Student? Toji: This student almost swindled us out of the deal, Mr. Chairman. Chairman: So, you never wanted to pay less? Toji: No. And you never wanted me to pay more? Chairman: No. Looks like the deal's back on. Mr. Mishin: Serena, you'll have lots of time to think about what you've done while in detention...FOR A WEEK! (A loud crash is heard and Myre and several of his troopers rushed onto the scene.) Mr. Mishin: What the...who are you? (Myre picks Mr. Mishin up by his jacket and slams him against the wall.) Myre: I would greatly appreciate it if you escorted me to the room with the spring.....NOW! Mr. Mishin: But why.... Myre: This place is going to be the new headquarters of....nevermind. The spring? Toji: That's it, deals off Mr. Chairman! I can't have people attacking my condominiums! (Toji and the chairman then race away.) (Myre was beginning to grow angry when a trooper went flying against the wall. Myre looks around and sees Sailor Moon fighting his troops.) Myre: Sailor Moon! Get her! (The troopers rushed at Sailor Moon but something came from the side and tackled them, it was Sailor Jupiter.) Myre: Ah, Sailor Jupiter. I will get rid of you once and for all. Sailor Jupiter: Try your luck. (All of the sudden, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, and Tuxedo Mask came in. Myre looked around him and at his fallen troops.) Myre: I like the odds..... (Myre then takes out his sword and it begins to glow. A brilliant flash of light explodes from the sword and the Scouts and Tuxedo Mask scream as the light blinds them. While they are blinded Myre clenches his fist and the Scouts and Tuxedo Mask are wrapped up in bands of dark energy. They try to free themselves but it’s useless.) Sailor Moon: So that’s what all the commotion was about in the boiler room! Myre: Boiler room, eh? Thanks. Sailor Moon: Nega-creep. (Myre and his troops head towards the boiler room. All of a sudden Sailor Mars appears through the crack in the wall.) Sailor Venus: Mars! Get us out of here! (Sailor Mars tried to pull at the dark energy bands but it was useless.) Sailor Mars: Eh....! It won't open! Come on! Tuxedo Mask: That man is powerful! Sailor Jupiter: More powerful then Malachite or anyone else we’ve fought! Sailor Mars: Where are they? Sailor Jupiter: Down in the basement. (Down in the basement, Myre and his troops are inspecting the spring.) Trooper 1: What a gold mine! Myre: This is excellent......... (The troopers then begin constructing a device around the spring.) Sailor Mars: MARS CELSTIAL FIRE SURROUND! (The fireballs hits several of the troops and they burst into flame.) Myre: Get her! (The troopers quickly grab Sailor Mars. She struggles to free herself but fails.) A voice: MOON ARROW STARFIRE!! (Suddenly, out of nowhere, a volley of blazing white arrows speed toward the troopers and Myre. Myre easily evades them, but his troops are burnt to cinders. Sailor Mars runs to the steps. At the steps are the five knights from the attack at the construction site before. The white-cloaked knight with the bow, the red-cloaked knight with the axe, the blue-cloaked knight with the spear, the black-cloaked knight with the shortswords, and the green-cloaked knight with the broadsword.) Green Knight: Good shooting, White Knight. White Knight: Thanks. Blue Knight: Prepare yourself, Myre. (Myre pulls out his sword and rushes at the knights.) Myre: DIE! Red Knight: I’ll handle this. (Myre and the Red Knight begin to fight. Sailor Mars runs back upstairs to check on the others. Red Knight catches Myre off guard and slashes him across the chest. Myre becomes enraged, knocks the axe from Red Knight’s hand and kicks him against the wall. The other Knights rush at Myre but he picks Red Knight up by the throat.) Myre: Ah, ah, ah.....move and he dies. (The Knights step back.) Myre: Good, now I want you to... (A black portal appears in the background and Jerlp and Kinet appear.) Jerlp: Myre...ah, the Knights of the Solar System! How good it is to see you! Kinet (rubbing the scar on his throat): Yes. We still have unfinished business, eh Blue Knight? Blue Knight: Yeah. I should’ve followed through on that swipe. Kinet (enraged): Well since we’re all here..... Jerlp: You can finish this later, Kinet, we have more pressing matters. Myre, let’s go. (Myre flings Red Knight to the ground and the three then disappear into the portal.) Green Knight: You okay, Red Knight? Red Knight: Yeah, let’s go check on the others. (The knights then walk up the steps. In the background of the boiler room, the energy spring sputters and goes out. Up in the hall the Scouts and Tuxedo Mask are getting to their feet.) Sailor Moon (holding up her fists): Alright, where are those creeps! Green Knight: They left and I doubt they’ll come back. The spring is depleted. Sailor Venus: While you knights are here, do you think you could do a little explaining about yourselves? Green Knight (vanishing): Soon.... (The knights vanish and leave the Scouts and Tuxedo Mask there.) Sailor Moon: I guess we should be getting used to that by now. Sailor Jupiter: Well at least the school’s not going under. Sailor Mercury: Yeah. Tuxedo Mask: That’s not what I’m worried about. Sailor Venus: If it’s not that, then what is it? Tuxedo Mask: When “soon” will be. (At the Negaverse Jerlp, Kinet, Myre, Libra and Ginea are in the throne room.) Jerlp: Well, the Knights are back. That definately changes our plans. Libra: The spring is depleted. Kinet: A loss that must be accepted. Jerlp: How is the work on the creatures going, Ginea? Ginea: They are ready. Jerlp: Excellent. Myre: Those Knights will be dealt with.....soon.
