Ok, this is my first time writing a fanfic.  Please be gentle.  
This is just how I thought the scene where Serena and Darien are 
together and where the Crystal is revealed.  I guess, I’m just a 
hopeless romantic.

The Garden Of Love
Scene:
	A courtyard full of roses in the park

	Serena stood smelling a red rose.  She was partially bent over.  
Her hair, out of its buns, fell down over the front of her shoulders.  
As the sun glistened over her hair, it shimmered like spun gold.  As she 
smelled the rose her lips gently brushed the petals.  Over whelmed with 
the smell of the rose she gently kissed it.  This sent shivers up her 
spine.
	Off in the distance Darien’s  icy blue eyes, took in every inch of 
her.  He could not believe how beautiful she was.  He had never seen her 
as anything  more than just a  clumsy, school girl, but now she has 
grown into an attractive woman.  He watched her as she gently caressed 
the rose.  He felt as if she was doing this to every part of him.  Every 
touch she gave the rose made him warm and increased in intensity with 
every stroke.  He almost collapsed when he saw her kiss the rose’s 
petals.  He envisioned those lucious lips kissing every inch of his 
body, the way she was kissing that rose.  God, he wanted her.  He 
thought of  how badly he had treated her.  ‘God, I was a fool!’ he 
thought.  ‘I hope that I haven’t messed up my chances with her’ he 
thought.  
	For the longest time he observed he unnoticed.  Serena, feeling 
like someone was watching her, she looked out of the corner of her eye.  
Only to find Darien.  ‘Its Darien’ she exclaimed mentally.  ‘He is so 
gorgious, but he is so mean to me.’  ‘I wonder why he is watching me’ 
she thought.  ‘He’s probably trying to think of an insult to call me.’  
‘Well, at least he can’t call me ‘meat-ball-head’, I took my hair down 
for a while.’
	When she took another look, he was gone.  So she just brushed it 
off and contributed it to  his usual minus zero attitude. 
	Darien quickly snuck out before he drew her attention.  Walking to 
his apartment, he just couldn’t get the image of her caressing the rose 
out of his mind.  When he saw her lightly kiss the petals, it took all 
that he had to keep from going over to her and kissing every part of 
her.  When he got to his apartment, it had seemed like an eternity had 
passed.  Finally he was home.  He went into his apartment, and laid on 
the bed and tried to think of something other than her.  It was no  use.
	As he drifted off to sleep, he could see nothing but her lush 
lips.  Oh god how he wanted to explore every corner of her mouth.
Dreaming:….
	“Tuxedo Mask, you must find the Crystal.  Please, help me to be 
free” the mystical princess called.  “How can I find it?”  He asked.  
“Only a pure heart and an unwaining love can make the Crystal reveal 
itself.”  She answered.  “Why can’t you give me a straight answer, you 
always speak in riddles!” He said.  “Love is not always clear, you must 
look in the most unlikely places to find what you seek.”  She said.  
“What does that mean?”  he called to her.  “Let the rose be your guide.” 
She said and with that she faded away.
	Darien woke up with a start and sat up in his bed.  ‘My god that 
was a strange dream’ he thought.  ‘What could it mean?’  He thought.  
Just as he was about to get up, his hand was poked by something.  He 
looked down to see a rose laying beside him.  He picked it up and he 
heard the princesses voice, ‘Let the rose be your guide’ she said.  “Let 
it be my guide, what is she talking about, that doesn’t make sense.”  He 
said talking to himself.
	“Well, I’ll have to put that thought on the back burner, right now 
I need to figure out how to get closer to Serena.” He said to himself.  
He walked over to the balcony, still holding the rose, to think.  ‘I’ve 
got it’ he exclaimed mentally.  ‘I’ll tell her I need help picking out a 
birthday gift for a friend of mine at work.  Then that will really give 
us sometime to get to know each other.  Maybe, I can try to make up for 
the rude comments I had said to her before, but I still cannot get past 
the hair.’  He thought.  Pacing about the balcony like a caged cat, 
‘now, I just need to put my plan into action.’  He thought.  “I think, I 
will surprise her after school tomarrow.”  He said to himself.
The Next Day….
	“Wow, I actually make it though the day without getting detention 
from miss H.”  Serena cheered to Molly.  “Yeah,  Serena, that is really 
an accomplishment for you” Molly said.  The two girls started walking 
down the street, to the arcade, where they hung out every day to unwind 
from school.
	“So Serena, what are you doing this evening?”  Molly asked.  
Unknown to them Darien wad walking right behind them listening intently.  
“Oh, I don’t know, probably nothing as usual.”  Serena said sadly.  “Oh, 
I’m going to study with Melvin tonight, I guess I promised the dwebster 
that I would a week ago and I forgot, but he didn’t”  Molly said.  
“Well, at least you have something to do tonight, I’ll just end up going 
home and be bored.”  Serena said, sounding down.
	Suddenly, a hand came up behind her and grabbed her shoulder.  Not 
knowing who it was, Serena’s scout training kicked in (for once), and 
she grabbed the hand and almost flipped him over.  “Woa, hold on!  It’s 
me Darien!”  He yelled.  Serena stopped and looked at who was on the 
other end of the arm she was holding.  Realizing it was Darien, she 
quickly dropped his arm and fire started to run through her body.  “Why 
are you sneaking up on me?”  She demanded.  Trying to ignore the energy 
that he felt when she touched his arm.  He gathered up his thoughts, “I 
wasn’t sneaking up on you, I didn’t want to interupt your conversation, 
so I just thought I would touch your shoulder to get your attention, but 
I did not expect to be physically attacked.  If I scared you, I am 
really sorry.” He said with true sincerity in his voice and in his eyes.  
She knew that he was truly sorry.  Gathering up her senses, she asked 
him what he wanted.
	“Well, Meat-… uh Serena, I need your help with something.”  He 
said cautiously, trying to control the urge to take her in his arms and 
taste her lips.  “Well, what do you need?”  She asked, her tone much 
more softer and gentler.  “I need help picking out a birthday gift for a 
friend at work, and I figured that you may be able to help me pick out 
something.”  He said expectantly.  Shocked at the fact he was nice and 
her was asking her for help.  “Sure, I’ll help, just as long as you 
don’t call me Meat-ball-head.  OK?”  She said.  “OK, Serena, it’s a 
deal.”  He said quite happily.  So off they went to the mall.
	‘Alright, I am on my way with my plan to get closer to Serena.’  
Darien thought.  ‘OK, Serena, just don’t clutz up!’  Serena thought to 
herself.  ‘Just be civil and help him find a gift for his friend, after 
all, he was nice in asking you for help.’  She thought.
	They walked though the mall.  Serena took Darien to some of the 
coolest stores in the mall.  Many of which he didn’t even know were 
there.  Darien did not know what he was going to do when Serena asks him 
about his friends likes and dislikes.  Well, problem solved, I’ll just 
tell her what my likes and dislikes are, Hell, I take the Damn gift if 
it means I can be around her more.  
	Knowing how much she ate, Darien knew he was going to regret his 
next question, so he took in a deep breath, “Serena, would you like to 
go to the courtyard and get something to eat?”  He asked cautiously.  
With a look of total surprise, and astonishment she agreed.  “Sure, I 
hear they have a new milkshake place, I have been dying to try it out.”  
She said.  “Milkshakes sound really good!”  He replied.  So off they 
went to the courtyard.
	The courtyard was truly an amazing site.  It had little café style 
tables and chairs that went around a huge fountain that was in the  
center.  Around the fountain were rose bushes and lotus tree’s.  the 
combination of the two flowers were just overpowering to the senses.  
They went to the new milkshake stand and ordered 2 milkshakes.  Darien 
told Serena to go find them a place to sit and he would bring the 
shakes.  Serena looked around and finally found an open table right by 
the fountain, next to a beautiful rose bush.
	Serena couldn’t resist the impulse to smell and touch the rose 
that was right next to her.  As she bent to smell the rose, Darien was 
coming with the drinks.  Darien almost dropped the shakes.  Instantly 
his internal temp began to rise and his legs turned into jello.  ‘Let 
the rose be your guide Tuxedo Mask, trust the rose, it holds may answers 
you seek,’ the princesses voice came .  ‘Could Serena be the key?  
Please princess tell me’ he called mentally.  ‘Just trust the rose and 
trust your heart, the two will not lead you astray, Tuxedo mask.’  She 
replied and then faded away.
	By this time Serena was waving her hands in front of his eyes, 
yelling at him to wake up, because he was just starring off into space.  
Finally, giving up on that approach, she stuck her hand in the ice-cold 
fountain and grabbed a handful of water and threw it at him.  Well, this 
really brought him back to planet earth.  “Serena!”  He yelled, getting 
the attention of several passer byes.  “What was that for?”  He asked, 
wiping his face with a napkin.  “I just thought you needed some help 
coming back down to earth.”  She replied, hoping that she didn’t ruin 
his happy mood and sabotage the progress she and he were making in 
establishing a friendship.
	Seeing the concern in her deep blue eyes, he gave her his best and 
most seductive smile and said, “Well, thank you, if you hadn’t brought 
me back I might have been floating in space for a long time.  Then the 
milkshakes would have melted before I could taste them.”  This made her 
feel better.  So they enjoyed their milkshakes and devised a route to 
follow for the rest of the mall.  
	“I never knew how much fun it was to just wonder through the mall 
with a good friend, Serena.  Thank you.”  He said, causing her to almost 
choke on her milkshake.  Her eyes grew huge in shock that he called her 
a ‘good friend’.  She never really thought he considered her a friend.  
Until today, she never could think of him as anything but an obnoxious 
jerk.  Maybe, he isn’t so bad of a guy, it might just take him some time 
to open up.  She lowered her eyes and looked at him through her lashes.  
Then she thanked him for the compliment.  This caused him to blush.
	“Darien, can I ask you a question, will  you answer truthfully?”  
She said.  He cocked his head to one side, and gave her a smile and 
said, “Yeah, what would you like to know Serena?”  She took a deep 
breath and just let it  come out, “Do-you-have-a-girlfriend-if-not-why-
and-what-do-you-like-in-a-girl?” She said finally taking a breath and 
waited for his reply.  Looking a little dumfounded, “OK, lets take one 
question at a time.  First, I don’t have a girlfriend.  I haven’t found 
anyone who isn’t superficial, pushy and uptight.”  He replied.  “You 
know Serena, you are the first girl that I have met that is so carefree 
and doesn’t take life too seriously.”  He said.  “Thank you, I think.”  
She said.
	They sat and finished drinking their milkshakes.  “Serena…” Darien 
began, but was interupted by screams and people running in all 
directions.  “Run it’s a monster!”  People  were yelling.  Hearing this, 
Darien’s instincts kicked in.  “Serena, stay here I’ll get help.”  
Darien said, and ran off.  “Yeah, right” she said.  “Help is already 
hear.”  She said, with that she raised her hand and said, “Moon Prism 
Power” and began to transform into Sailor Moon.  Darien had only ran 
just out of  Serena’s sight and pulled a rose from his jacket and 
transformed on the run.  Finished he turned around to see the last part 
of Serena’s transformation.  “Oh god, Serena is Sailor Moon!”  He 
exclaimed mentally.  “Well, no time to think about that tux boy, I need 
to help her.”  Darien thought and rushed to help Serena.  
	During battle, Tuxedo Mask took a look at Sailor Moon.  “My god, 
she is brave and strong and just doesn’t seem like the same girl that I 
was just having a milkshake with.”  He thought.  The Negabeast pushed 
Tuxedo Mask out of the way and went directly for Sailor Moon.  “No!”  
Darien screamed, but it was too late, the monster had already cut Sailor 
Moon on both legs causing her to fall to the ground.  Tuxedo Mask, ran 
to Sailor Moon, but the monster blocked his way and was about to finish 
off sailor Moon, when a voice saying, “Venus, love chain encircle” was 
heard.  In a blink of an eye a gold chain of hearts totally encircled 
the beast.  Then, “Mars, fire ignite” was heard.  There was a bright 
flash of fire and the monster was totally engulfed in flames.  “Finish 
the job Sailor Moon,”  Venus called.  In a flash, Serena threw, her 
tiara and the monster exploded into moon dust.  “Dusted,” Sailor Moon 
exclaimed.  Tuxedo Mask  leaped to her side and picked her up.  “I need 
to talk to you,” he whispered in her ear.  “I think you guys can handle 
things from here.”  He said to the other scouts and disappeared with 
Sailor Moon.
Venus and Mars just looked at each other puzzled.
Meanwhile on the roof of the Mall….

	“Sailor Moon” he said.  “Yes, Tuxedo Mask.  What did you want to 
talk to me about?”  She asked.  “This Serena…”  He said kissing her 
deeply and at the same time he grabbed her locket and pulled it away 
from her.  Instantly her sailor outfit turned into ribbons and 
disappeared, changing back into her clothes she was wearing earlier.  As 
they broke the kiss, Serena blushed.  “How did you know who I was Tuxedo 
Mask?”  She asked.  “This is why…”  He said as he removed his mask.  
“Dar…”  She began, but was cut off by his lips covering hers in a deep, 
passionate kiss.  She felt as if she was going to fly.  It was at this 
moment she realized she truly loved him.  “But, I saw you leave.”  She 
said breaking the kiss.  “I only ran so far and I check on you and well 
I saw everything.”  He said lovingly.  At that he kissed her again.  
This time it was more passionate than any kiss ever known.  This kiss 
sealed a bond that had been created, over a thousand years ago and has 
spanned and lasted that long in two people’s hearts.  It was just 
waiting for the right time when, the two hearts would be joined and then 
the bond would be sealed for another thousand years.
	As Serena and Darien kissed, a strange silver glow enveloped them 
and they both began to float.  Right before Darien’s eyes, Serena’s 
scout outfit, vanished and in its place was a white and gold gown.  She 
opened her eyes and all of her momories came flooding back to her.  
Everything.  Tears of joy began to flow down her face.  Darien caught 
one in his hand.  Serena placed her hand on the tear.  “Watch.”  She 
said, and instanly, the tear was turned into the Imperium Silver 
Crystal.
	Looking at him with loving eyes.  “You see Tuxedo Mask, the rose 
did lead you to me.  I am finally free my love.  Thank you.”  She said.  
“No, my princess, thank you for leading me in the right direction and 
telling me to follow what is in my heart.”  He said.  “When two hearts 
are separated, they always find a way back to each other.”  She said.  
With that they kissed and the love that was between them could be felt 
in all corners of the universe and around the world.  On the moon the 
spirit of Queen Serenity was watching her daughter.  “Finally, my love, 
you have found each other, your true soul mate.”  She said.
		Now that is true love.
