Auston Jade Hello readers! Umm... are there any out there? Well, if there are then when you read this story please write either me or Auston about it! We'd both love to hear from you! And now, this is the fifth part to this story and as far Auston and I can tell there should be many parts to come in the future. This is rated PG for some slightly mature situations. And please, no one critisize us on the length of these chapters. They may be short, but they're interesting and we enjoy writing them, so the length doesn't really matter. PS - These signs < > means that a person is thinking. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So you're telling us that you want to come join the Nega-verse? Join *us*, and Beryl, with no strings attached? Nothing?" Kunzite asked Serina, who was Sailor Moon at the moment, skeptically. They were all sitting down on the hard stone floors in the Nega-verse dungeon, comfortably, at the moment, well actually, the two generals were sitting comfortably, Sailor Moon was squirming and fidgiting rather *un*comfortably at the clamminess of the cold, solid stone beneath her. And besides her dislike for the ground she was sitting on, Sailor Moon was also feeling very uneasy and apprehensive of her surroundings. But then they were, of course, in a dungeon, and dungeons are not meant to be comfortable, but rather to make the person inside that dungeon experience fear, and though Sailor Moon was not very afraid, it was disquieting all the same to be sitting inside a Nega-verse dungeon, a dungeon that held the feel of death in the air, with two of the leading generals of this very evil place. And besides that, Sailor Moon had one other reason to feel restless. She had thought, and still did, that if anything, the one thing Queen Beryl would keep her eye on was the dungeon. Pushing aside her obvious discomfort, she nodded her head yes in Kunzites direction. Kunzites and Zoistie both looked at each other, thinking and wondering. After a few moments of silence, all of which Sailor Moon spent debating whether to get up or not, Zoisite turned to Sailor Moon and asked, or more like sneered, the one question Sailor Moon had been hoping to avoid. "What do we get in return?" Taking a long moment to gather her thoughts Sailor Moon offered them the only thing she really had to offer. "You get the sailor scouts identities." As soon as the words were said she slumped down on the floor and lowered her eyes to her feet, as if she wanted to disappear into the hard rock floor. What was the matter with her? If she told them the sailor scouts real identities then her friends might be hurt, or captured, or maybe even worse, but.... she had nothing else she could give them, except for her knowledge of the scouts... What else could she do? But still... It might... No it *would* get her friends hurt, maybe even killed, she knew that for a fact. Although she wanted to show them all, especially Rei, that she really wasn't as dumb and useless as she looked, as they though, she didn't want them hurt. She cared very deeply for each and every one of them and wished she could undo her words. This was wrong of her, she couldn't do this..... But it was too late, she'd already made her offer, and she didn't think Kunzite and Zoisite would accept anything else now. The two generals smiled widely. They had Sailor Moon. "Why would you betray your friends?" Zoisite asked curiously, Kunzite wondering the exact same thing. Neither of them could understand why she would want to join them, she was after all, a sailor scout, the leader of them to be precise, and the most powerful of the five. It was only natural that they should be curious. All the same, Zoisite's question provoked an unexpected response from Sailor Moon. "None of your DAMN busness!!!!!" She shouted, catching the generals by surprise. "Am I in, or not? I am getting *really* pissed off and if one of you doesn't answer me this minute then there's going to be trouble!" It was a weak threat but it surprised the generals even more then her previous words had. Sailor Moon got up from her seat, slightly shaky, and started to walk back and forth, flinging her hands around in her anger. The generals smiled even more. They really, *really* had Sailor Moon, and she was giving herself to them. Freely. "You know, I think we can trust her, Kunzite." Zoisite told him, watching the red and blue uniformed scout stomp around the dungeon furiously. "Yes, I think you're right. We can trust her." Kunzite said, though his mind was not on answering Zoisite's words. His gaze was locked on Sailor Moon, as she stalked around the dungeon angrily, and he was admiring how her body was so small and slender, making her look very fragile in the dim light, though really, she was anything *but* fragile. Kunzite thought to himself. He thought, not surprisingly thinking the exact same question that was beginning to ring in Serina's head like some sort of bell. "For Gods sake." Kunsite muttered aloud, startling Sailor Moon and Zoisite. He seemed to have said it out of the blue, at least to them. "What were you thinking about Kunzite?" Zoisite asked, laughing at him with his eyes, not far from laughing at him vocally. Kunzite just grumbled to himself. "Lets do it! I'm a general in training! Yeah!" Sailor Moon jumped up and down excitedly. *Now* she was acting like the Sailor Moon that Zoisite and Kunzite knew. "Wait a minute Sailor Moon, we have to inform Queen Beryl about you." Zoisite reminded her, not really looking forward himself to informing their queen that a sailor scout wished to join them. Beryl was a fool, as far as the generals were concerned, and she was just as likely to kill Sailor Moon for all the trouble she'd caused them in the past as she was to accept her as a general. "Why can't you just say I'm a new student of yours that you found?" Sailor Moon asked, not wanting to have to face Beryl right now, and most certainly not wanting her to know who she really was. "We could do that couldn't we?" Zoisite said, not really asking a question, more like stating a fact. "Yes we could. Alright, smart thinking Sailor Moon." Kunzite said, getting up smoothly from the floor and helping Zoisite up as well, casting quick glances in Sailor Moon's direction. Although he hid it well, Kunzite was very surprised with Sailor Moon. Everyone in the Nega-verse knew the scout leader to be a clutz and a crybaby, she had never been spoken of before as brave or daring, but here she was, betraying the sailor scouts, betraying her *friends* to their enemies, and despite himself, Kunzite could no longer call the former scout leader a baby for the life of him. "Good, then it is settled!" Sailor Moon said, more then happy that the matter really was settled. "When do I start?" The two generals looked at each other for a moment, considering, then they both looked back at Sailor Moon and said simply, "Right now." ______________________________________________________ They teleported Sailor Moon and themselves out of the dungeon and took her to a quiet place on the far side of the Nega-verse that they said Beryl could not enter. Sailor Moon had her doubts about that but ignored the nagging little voice at the back of head that kept repeatedly telling her that they could be lying and that Beryl could already know she was here. She had decided from the first moment she had entered the Nega- verse that she had to trust somebody, it might as well be the generals, especially since she didn't know anyone else from the Nega-verse, and she wasn't even sure if she could trust herself anymore. They showed her into a large room that was nicely furnished, and held two dressers, both black in color, and a very large bed near the right hand corner of the room. There were no windows but across the room, just opposite the bed, there was a second door that led to a small adjoining room that Sailor Moon couldn't see because of the low lighting. It was obvious, even though there were little personal items in the room, that this was either Kunzite's room, or Zoisite's, probably both of theirs. She didn't understand why that last thought sent a shot through her like a lightning bolt that caused her eyes to darken and her mind to blaze, just as her anger did. Yet, it was not anger she felt, but something similar to it. She wondered, not for the first time, and probably not for the last, what was wrong with her. While she looked about her curiously, Kunzite told her to take off her scout uniform. She was wary and uneasy at even the idea, but when she saw the two generals leave the room she figured it was alright. The only problem was that her scout uniform didn't have and buttons or closures on it and she couldn't take it off without detransforming. She really didn't want to do that. At least as Sailor Moon she had *some* form of defense against any Nega-monsters that might try to attack her, but she would be helpless to stop an enemy whatsoever as just plain old Serena. But, she reasoned with herself, she was in this too deep as it was. And she really didn't have a lot of choice in the matter anyway. Kunzite and Zoisite were the only things that were keeping Queen Beryl from getting at her and she feared that if she didn't do exactly what they said, they may just throw her at the queen and let her deal with her. It was as she was removing her skirt and shirt after detransforming that she realized there was no generals uniform in sight for her to change into. She looked about her, frowning, wondering if she should just call out and ask where to find one, when she heard the door she had her back to, open. She turned around in time to see Kunzite enter the room, a gray generals uniform in his hands. "Here. This is the uniform that you will where while you're training. It's-" He stopped in midsentence, his words ending with something like a choke, as he looked up from handing her the gray uniform. His eyes were wide and he was blinking in shock as Serena stared back at him, her face beet red. Obviously he had not expected to see her like this. And, of course, she had most defintely not expected *him*, or wanted *him*, to see her like this. The only person she'd ever want to see her like this was... no, best not to think about him. She stared at Kunzite in mute silence, shaking ever so slightly as he just gaped at her, his mouth opening and then closing like some kind of fish. If he tried anything....... All of this took place in less than three seconds. What happened next seemed to take even less time. Serena screamed. Very, *very*, loudly and Kunzite was able to shake off the shock he'd experienced at seeing Sailor Moon, now Serena, in undergarments, and nothing else. He jumped forward and placed one large, gloved hand over her mouth to muffle the loud, peircing sound coming from her mouth. When Serena continued to scream, even though his hand was over her mouth, and she began to struggle, trying to move away from him he pinned her to the wall with his other hand and brought his faces within inches of hers. "Quiet!" He hissed at her. "Do you want everybody to know you're here?!" That shut her up, and fast. She stopped moving, trying to get away from him, and simply shook her head, her eyes wide, much as his had been when he'd walked in here. Kunzite nodded and slowly removed his hand from her mouth, indicating with his eyes that should she start screaming again he would not hesitate to knock her out to stop her. But Serena didn't start screaming, instead she stood absolutely still, waiting silently for him to move away from her so... she could change into that generals uniform he'd brought and forget about this whole embarrassing incident. When Kunzite finally did move away, satisfied she wouldn't make anymore noise, he had a hard time keeping his eyes off her as she changed. She may be small, very small by Nega-verse standards, but she was very pretty nonetheless. His attention did not go unnoticed by Serena, and, surprisingly, his not-so-well-hidden glances in her direction brought Serena a measure of satisfaction. When she was done changing into the gray uniform Kunzite had brought her, Serena looked at herself in the large, full length mirror beside one of the dressers. The uniform was exactly like Zoisite's, only with a navy blue trim instead of green. The blue went with her eyes, though it was darker, but gray was most definetely not her color. It made her look a lot older then her fourteen years though. She had to admit, she did look o.k, especially wearing something she would never have worn under normal circumstances in a million years. "You look good." Kunzite said from behind her and she sent him a side long glance, as if to ask 'really?' He nodded at the question in her eyes and said aloud, "Very nice. Although, we must do something with your hair. We don't want to draw too much attention to you, and your hairstyle is a bit more, uh, conspicuous than any creatures here." Serena scowled. "And what's that supposed to mean?" She asked, narrowing her eyes. Kunzite lifted one eyebrow at the question, as though the answer should have been obvious, and it should have. "Well, for one, everyone in the Nega-verse knows exactly what your regular hairstyle is and to keep it like that would not be wise. And secondly, blond hair is not common among Nega- verse minions. As far as I know, Jadeite was the only other general to have blond hair in the entire Nega-verse history." At the mention of her old enemy, General Jadeite, Serena paused in the middle of letting her hair down. While Kunzite had spoken she had taken the hint and had begun to take out to two round spheres on her head, but at Jadeite's name she stopped, curious. She opened her mouth to ask about the blond general, she'd always wondered what had happened to him, but something in Kunzite's eyes told her to keep her mouth shut, that she didn't want to know, and instead of speaking Serena finished letting down all of her hair and flipped it back and over her shoulders so it fell nearly to the floor, shining like liquid gold in the dark room, a stark contrast to the dim lighting that was always around the Neg,a-verse. She literally took Kunzite's breath away, even in the very plain generals uniform. And that surprised Kunzite, even scared him a touch. He was beginning to think this wasn't such a good idea. He should have just killed Sailor Moon the minute she entered the Nega-verse. But then again, having a former sailor scout among them would be interesting, and besides, for once in his life, he was having some fun. "O.k, I'm ready." Serena said after looking herself over in the mirror once more. After Kunzite also gave her a good going over, and a thorough inspection of his own, he nodded his head in satisfaction and the two of them headed for the training room where Zoisite was waiting for them impatiently. _____________________________________________________ "What took you guys so long?" Was the question that was posed of the two of them when they entered the training room, and both of them had blushed and hastily made up excuses and explanations to answer that particular question. They both doubted Zoisite believed them, but he didn't mention the subject again, although he acted slightly suspicious around Kunzite now. To begin her training Serena was given a long wooden staff to see how well she fought physically and because Serena had never taken *anything* that involved fighting she had quite a time trying to figure out how to properly use the staff. Kunzite showed her though, he being the more experienced of the two generals, while Serena blushed when he positioned her hands on the staff and held her close to demonstrate. *Too* close for her liking... She didn't know if he was doing it on purpose or if it was just her imagine, but, well, he was after all, supposed to be *gay*.... Before beginning to learn the basics of self defense and magical use, thought, one startling, unbelievable fact was revealed to Serena about the Nega-verse. Time passed much slower here then it did on Earth. *Much* slower. Weeks on Earth could literally be months in the Nega-verse. Well, certain parts of the Nega-verse, mostly time passed normally, but some areas were different. In the part where Kunzite and Zoisite were training her, one day in the Nega-verse would be ten minutes or less on Earth. So, while Tuxedo Mask and the scouts fought off the Nega-monster Serena went through two weeks worth of extensive training. And Kunzite and Zoisite trained her well. Better than Luna ever had in fact. She was beginning to wonder if part of her inability to fight and her laziness, was because of Luna and the rest of her *friends* always calling her names, and telling her to speed up, and do better and so on, and so on. To the point where, she only acted the way she did because everybody expected her to. At the end of the two weeks, Serena had learned how to fight with a staff, a sword, her hands and feet, a whip, a rapier, and almost any other weapon you could think of. They'd taught her archery, knife throwing, how to duck thrown knives, how to defend herself, especially against any Nega-monsters, how to block punches and blows, and many, many other things. And despite what her friends and teachers thought on Earth, Serena could pick up something very quickly when she wanted to. And there was one other thing the two generals had taught her. One of the most important things. They taught her how to use dark magic. And to the generals and Serena's surprise, Serena was more powerful than any of them had ever dreamed anyone to be. Possibly as powerful as Queen Beryl. Serena could create ice crystals, globes of energy, black lightning bolts, sheilds, teleports, anything. She could do it all, and she could do it better than both Kunzite and Zoisite. She was more powerful than the both of them put together, but while Kunzite was unconcerned and more than slightly impressed by her abilities, Zoisite was not only jealous, but angry at them. It didn't help when Kunzite and Serena began to regularly train together in physical combat. Zoisite had tried to use a sword once, not wanting Serena to show him up, but he'd nearly killed himself with it and it had been decided that Kunzite would be the one to train Serena mostly. Over the past two weeks Kunzite and Serena had become steadily closer, and they now treated each other as good friends, but Zoisite and Serena's relationship had gone slowly downhill ever since the first day of training. Queen Beryl had been informed earlier about Serena's training to be a general and she had congratulated Serena when the generals had told the queen about how well Serena was progressing. However, everyone in the Nega-verse who knew of her did not know her as Serena, they knew of her as Crystal, because that was the name that Serena had told the generals when they'd asked what to call her. They couldn't very well introduce her as Sailor Moon to Queen Beryl now could could they? Serena hadn't wanted to lie to the generals, but she hadn't wanted them to know her real name either. She'd chosen the course of action she thought best even though she knew it could be a mistake. Now, the two generals and the former sailor scout were sitting together in Kunzite and Zoisite's private living quarters, sharing a small bottle of wine that one of them had picked up on Earth a while back. Although all three of them had drank a fair amount of the fine wine, Serena didn't know where it was from, none of them were even remotely drunk. If anything the two generals were more sober then when they didn't drink, and Serena looked and felt as she always did. The wine didn't effect her in the least. She wondered why. But then, these days she wondered a lot of things. Kunzite looked at her from his seat. "What are you thinking about, Crystal?" He asked her, noticing the pensive look on her face. Zoisite sat beside him in a chair, dozing lightly, but still alert enough, even in sleep, to wake if need be. Serena, now Crystal, looked up at Kunzite and sighed heavily. "I was just wondering what my friends were doing now... if they.. even care that I'm gone....." Kunzite looked at her strangely. "There's no point in worrying about them Crystal. You're one of us now, by your own choice, and besides, I believe they're still fighting." "I know, but......." She trailed off into silence, not really knowing what else to say. Kunzite rose from his chair and walked quickly but quietly over to where Crystal sat and sat down beside her. She didn't seem to notice, her beautiful blue eyes staring ahead of her, unseeing. "Why *did* you join us Crystal?" Kunzite probed, knowing there was more to this matter then she was telling. She shifted her gaze, and looked at him now, with eyes that told him he was treading on dangerous grounds. She didn't answer and remained silent, telling Kunzite that he'd hit a touchy spot with his question. "Alright, you don't have to tell me now... But I will expect a response to my question... soon." There was a sharp edge to Kunzite's voice now and that only made Crystal even more cross. "Don't!" She ground out harshly as she stared Kunzite straight in the face, her blue eyes sparking and flaring with an inner fire all their own. "Don't threaten me Kunzite! I'll answer what I want to, and nothing else. Do you hear me? I won't tell you if I don't want to!" She got up from her seat, the chair toppling over as she did so, and she stood over Kunzite, her face a mask of rage and fury. The sound of the chair hitting the ground and the heated argument that was taking place between Crystal and Kunzite caused Zoisite to wake up. "What's happening... What's going on?" Zoisite looked quickly from a red in the face Crystal to a pink in the face Kunzite. Suddenly, before anyone could get a word in edgewise to respond to Zoisite's questioning, Crystal cried out and fell to the floor, clutching her stomach as though she'd been stabbed. Zosiite looked at her for a moment in surprise, and then looked at Kunzite and both of them knew instantly what had happened. The scouts had finally beaten the Nega-monster they had sent out to distract them. "It sure took them long enough." Zoisite smirked, getting up from his sitting position and stretching. Kunzite just nodded his head, looking at Crystal, who had gotten up. She looked back at him steadily and face and movements revealed nothing, but her eyes revealing everything. She looked away quickly. She had forgotten that time returned to normal when she left the training room, and the scouts and Tuxedo Mask had had plenty of time to deal with the Nega-monster Zoisite had sent for them, and now it was time to face her friends. It wasn't that she didn't want to, after all, she knew she'd have to sometime, but it seemed to be too soon for her. It had only been two weeks for her since she'd joined the Nega- verse, but it seemed so much shorter. She didn't think she was ready yet, but it was too late to chicken out now. She could tell that Zoisite and Kunzite had also sensed the monsters destruction and they were looking at her now, as if to ask, 'you, or us?' And Serena knew that it was time she faced facts. She had betrayed the sailor scouts, and there was no going back, she had to face them sometime, it might as well be now. She nodded in their direction saying simply, "I'll go." And before another word could be spoken, and before the generals could protest or ask anything, Serena disappeared in a flash of light and Zoisite and Kunzite were left alone, wondering if they should stay put, or go watch. They eventually decided on the latter, at Kunzite's insistense, and both of them disappeared as well, leaving the room they'd been standing in, silent and empty. TO BE CONTINUED..... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is just some more authors notes for this chapter guys. Some of you people reading this story (if there are any) may wonder why I referred to Serena as Crystal in this last part of the story and not Serena/Crystal or something like that. Well, when alone and by herself I will refer to Serena as Serena, but when with the generals or in the presense of others in the Nega-verse I will refer to her as Crystal. The reason for this is because this is how others in the Nega-verse would see and refer to her. If that explanation was confusing then write me and I'll explain it in more detail.
